Can’t say enough about Dr Farr and his team (Rosa, Lisa and now Dr Martinez). Dr Farr has a great bedside manner; easy-​going, explains everything, puts you at ease. Told him he should record his «gums» story and put it on You Tube. I turned an age with a «0» in it, decided to address some cosmetic work. Although I take care of my teeth/​gyms, my fronts were a mess (one old cap, one worn/​chipped, laterals worn down). First I did the Zoom whitening before the veneer work. Then we did the top front incisors; I was shocked how great and natural they looked. Made the ¾ worn laterals next store look horrible. He went back in there, created perfectly matched veneers for the laterals; I now have a perfect, natural line up all the way back to my top canines. It’s an absolute game changer. Remember, if you decide to do the top two fronts, probably a good idea and do the top four; makes for a much better look. Told Dr Farr I’d be happy to be a reference and he can use my before and after pics. TL

Great team and great dentist! Dr. Farr gives great advice but is also open to feedback and suggestions. I am just completing a year-​long Invisalign treatment and am thrilled with the results.

Dr Farr and his staff are awesome. I’ve been going to him since 2008 and thought I live in San Francisco where he had an office I still am willing to travel to Mill Valley to see him. Always fair in his evaluations and never trys to get you to buy something you don’t really need. Just love going their and honestly as someone that is very afraid of needles and typically hates dentists that’s saying something.

And he services our troops in middle-​east for their dental needs. Bet you didn’t know about that!

I purchased a Living Social deal to have my teeth cleaned. I must say his office staff are extremely personable, from the receptionist to the woman who cleaned my teeth. Dr Farr explained the benefits of flossing in a way that I have never been told before, and I really appreciate the education. The cleaning done by a staff member was also done well.
I however gave him a 4 star because his tone tended to be «paternalistic»…like he was speaking to a child and not to a grown «woman»…Would I go back to his office
probably if it was another «super deal» offered and I would just try not to engage in conversation with him.

Ive been going to Dr. Farr since I moved to CA about 8 years ago. He is fantastic! I appreciate his well trained staff and consistently updated information on hygiene/​health.
In addition to keeping my teeth pearly white they are an excellent resource for the latest and greatest technology being used in the field.

Dr. Farr and his staff are very friendly and have gone above and beyond to meet my needs. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a dentist who is very time efficient and are always looking to please their patients and also are very informative about your teeth and the health of your gums.

A co-​worker recommended Dr. Farr to me. After my first visit with him in Mill Valley (I live in S.F.) my first impression of Dr. Farr was that of a professional, gentle mannered soft spoken dentist. I was most impressed by his thorough and patient review of the importance of flossing, eventhough I felt his tone was as if he was talking to a child, I overlooked it because I thought perhaps that’s what I needed to really understand how important it is to floss, so needless to say, he got me flossing again. I however, was so disappointed after we started discussing re-​doing my front bridge, I felt he was really pushing to do 9 veneers, the prospect of this horrorfied me, mainly because all I really wanted was to have my bridge re-​done as nice as possible, since he is a «cosmetic specialist». After going back & forth and doing quite a bit of research on veneers, I decided to only re-​do my bridge. Dr. Farr continued to push and assert that I would not be happy with just the bridge, but that he would do it anyway, he wanted me to have a «Hollywood smile», as he told me once. I have been very happy with the way my teeth look since I had the bottom ones straighten, (not by him) all I needed was my bridge re-​done. Ambivalent and not feeling too comfortable with him anymore, I came to my appt. to begin my bridge work anyway, got there 10 mins. late. I was lectured and scolded, I felt his reaction to my being late and my ambivalence was quite insensitive and his treatment of me, like a child, inappropiate, I wondered if it was a cultural thing, being I’m a woman. Needless to say, I will never go back to Dr. Farr and can honestly not recommend him to no one. As an added note, my insurance was not paying for redoing my bridge so I was making a hefty cash payment. I don’t know if his business is hurting but he sure tried to push on the veneers…“First impressions can sometimes be deceiving”!!!

Dr. Farr is terrific. Ive changed dentists dozens of times throughout my life and he will be my primary doc indefinitely. He is patient and friendly plus will verbally explain your procedure before treatment. During treatment he explains what is happening, so you don’t get timid over the dreadful drill noises. Lastly, hes just a really «good guy» who knows his stuff. He has a very friendly personality and makes you feel comfortable every step of the way.
His office staff is also very friendly. Lisa (Front Office) will work with your insurance and explain your benefits. She is clear and concise about your costs, so there are no surprises upon payment.
Most people dread going to the Dentist; I still dont love it, but I do feel comfortable and know that I’m in great hands with Dr. Farr.

Dr. Farr’s dentist office is a small, cozy place where the staff really gets to know you. It’s funny when you only see people every six months, yet they still remember what was going on in your life from your last visit.
Dr. Farr is the first dentist who ever got me to floss. Yes, I know it’s totally gross that I didn’t floss before. But ever since my first visit two years ago, I have flossed every day. My entire life, dentists have been telling me to floss, so when he started on his ten minute speech of why I need to, I kind of rolled my eyes at first. Then, about five minutes into the speech, it all started to make sense. I wanted to floss bad! I wanted it sooo bad. I could picture the floss going in and out… in and out… in and out… of the spaces between my teeth. Ew, did I really just sexualize flossing? Yes, I do know that I’m disturbed, but that’s how much I enjoy flossing now.
My mouth has never felt better! And, I’m sure my make out partners are even happier now. Not that they had anything to complain about before…

While Dr. Farr and his staff are VERY friendly, I find it impossible to ever reach anyone on the phone. Also they definitely take every opportunity to offer to sell you things and I’ve been billed incorrectly a few times. It was straightened up easily, but it took forever to talk to someone on the phone.
