My Neighbor’s Pet Sitting

I do not recommend this pet sitting service. Margaret initially made a good impression on us and we took off on our trip feeling pretty confident that we chose a great pet sitting service. The reasons I’m only offering two stars are as follows:
1. It took nearly two weeks for Margaret to return all three of the house keys we lent her. We were told that one of the pet sitters went on a trip while in possession of one of our keys and we had no idea where our key actually was.
2. When I got home I found an open bag of litter box waste sitting next to a litter box and a mess of litter and broken clumps all over the floor. The scoop had cracked (but was still intact enough to do its job) while the sitter was cleaning the litter box and she left the litter box only partially scooped and evidently just sat everything down and walked away.
3. The water bowls were very slimy. It was obvious that they had not been wiped clean at all during the five days I was gone. Anyone taking care of cats should know that cats are very finicky about a lot of things, but in particular their water. Proper care includes rinsing and wiping water bowls daily.
4. When I addressed these concerns with Margaret, she responded defensively. Her response did nothing to assuage my concerns and frustrations and, in fact, really inflamed them.

Incredible pet sitting service! Margaret gladly said she would take care of our pets a week before we were leaving for our honeymoon. They left a report card everyday explaining what they did for our animals in addition to how they were acting that day. They went above and beyond for our babies! I will definitely be using their service again in the future!

After reading all their great reviews, I contacted Margaret at My Neighbor’s Pet Sitting to set up daily potty walks for my two hound doggies because I’m at work during the day too long for them to hold it. It’s been one month since they started walking them for me, and it’s definitely been a good experience! I met Margaret and two of the girls who would be taking care of my boys for me during our initial interview, and they are all very, very sweet. My dogs are both large hounds and can be a bit of a handful to walk (one is highly leash reactive), and they have handled them very well! I have seen a definite improvement in my doggies moods and happiness when I get home in the evenings, and no longer worry about them getting urinary infections from holding their potty too long. I had one incident when one of my silly hounds ate a few things that he shouldn’t have, and when I was worried about him showing side effects and getting sick while I was gone to work the next day, Margaret (the owner) visited my apartment personally to check on my boy for me. She sent me a text immediately to let me know that he was fine and was having no issues. I also love the notes that the girls leave me each day letting me know how their visit went. I will definitely be recommending My Neighbor’s Pet Sitting to my friends. Thank you Margaret, Katie, Bethany, Lauren and friends!

We recently moved to Mill Creek and needed a pet sitter for our two indoor cats while we took a trip for Christmas. We have always had friends living close by who could watch our cats for us, but since we are new to the area, we needed to use a pet-​sitting business. I was nervous at first to let someone into my home when I wasn’t there, but decided on My Neighbor’s Pet Sitting after reading the great reviews. They exceeded our expectations! Margaret came by for a meet and greet with us and our cats before we left, so we could show her where everything was. Her staff came by each day we were gone to feed and water the cats, clean the litter box, and get the mail. They left report cards each day that detailed what they did during their visit and even included play time. Our kitties seemed quite content when we returned and the house was just how we left it. We will certainly be using this company again in the future!

This is an absolutely wonderful pet sitting service! After moving 3000 miles across the country and no longer having family/​neighbors/​friends to watch the dogs we were pretty stressed out when it came to finding someone to watch them. Our first attempt was boarding them. It turned out to be extremely expensive and they confused our dogs by teaching them it was ok to relieve themselves in their dog run, which led to accidents in the house when they came home.
Fortunately we found My Neighbor’s Pet Sitting. What a wonderful group of people. Margaret came for an initial visit, took detailed notes of the specifics of how we like to care for our dogs. They help keep our home nice and tidy while we are gone and take great care of our dogs. Each time we come home from our trip our dogs are super relaxed and very happy (like we never left!).
The people are great, the prices are great, all in all you can’t beat it. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

In five years of using various pet sitters My Neighbor’s is the only one to get my antisocial cat to actually come out and interact! The owner is extremely friendly and responsive and my primary sitter, Jenn, took great care of my house and two kitties. I will definitely be using them for my future trips.

I have been using My Neighbor’s Pet Sitting for my very loved dog since the first week I arrived in Washington state. I moved here in 2008 and needed some dog sitting right away for particularly long doctoral school days. Since then I have also boarded my dog with MNPS many times. Margaret has taken such good care of my dog over the years when I have needed her to. MNPS is both professional and personal, in the best sense. I never worry about my dog’s care or safety when she is under Margaret’s care. Most importantly, my dog thinks of them as her second family. I highly recommend My Neighbor’s Pet Sitting.

I moved to Mill Creek for a short time while my husband was in Afghanistan, (with a newborn) and needed help with our two dogs!
I set up a weekly dog park excursion,.the women at My Neighbors Pet Sitting were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable with dogs. My dogs loved their sitters. If the dogs ever needed a walk or dog park trip a different day they always accommodated me, AND watched them at my house while I went on a trip. It was such a relief!
I have and would recommend them to friends and people needing someone to care for their dogs as much as they do.
My dogs will miss their trips!

We have been using My Neighbor’s Pet Sitting (MNPS) now for about 6 months and I have been meaning to write a glowing review for some time. Well my experience yesterday made me jump on this right away!
Yesterday we were out and about and ran into a situation where we couldn’t make it home after being out for too long. I text MNPS and asked if they might be able to swing by and let the animals out and feed them, I got a text back within 5 minutes that yes they could! Phew! Even better MNPS was at my house in about a half an hour from when I contacted them.
This team really works with you and your situation with pets to ensure they get the best care possible! We have two dogs and a cat, one of our dogs is a stubborn Basset Hound and MNPS has been amazing working with us to make sure our Basset Hound is comfortable so she doesn’t act out when we move her routine around. I couldn’t ask for better service, their prices are fantastic and better yet the people are amazing! I highly recommend this business!

Margaret and Melissa of My Neighbors Pet Sitting are amazing! It was the first time we had ever used a pet sitter to take care of «children» while we were away and they made it very comfortable. They are genuinely nice, caring women that obviously love their jobs and the pets that they care for. They even write daily report cards for each pet so you know exactly what happened while you were away. On top of taking such great care of our little ones, they also helped us through a scary situation with our house and I felt such relief knowing that we had them there! We have truly found the best and would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone!
