Dr. Mulliken and his staff are great! They are very warm and welcoming. Very down to earth. I felt very comfortable getting my cleaning at his office and the hygienist made things very efficient and easy. After leaving his dental office my teeth look and feel amazing. As a child, I absolutely loathed going to the dentist. You get poked, prodded, brushed, flossed — the works. At the end you get told, «You should be flossing more» and sent on your way.
With this being said, I started seeing Dr. Mulliken about 10 years ago (maybe 8? I can’t remember exactly how old I was). I was reluctant to see a new dentist. However, from the moment I stepped into the waiting room I could tell it was different. It’s a small waiting room with coffee, cookies, and bottled water for whoever is sitting there. The seats are comfortable and they have a nice fish tank to look at. The front desk is so friendly and easy to make small talk with while you set up your next appointment. On several different occasions they have told me how they feel like their patients, co-​workers, etc are kind of like an «extended family». When you go into the examining room, they have a computer to pull up your X-​rays and charts, a comfortable examination chair to sit in while they work on your teeth, and a TV to watch (they’ll let you pick any channel you want!). The dental hygienists have always been really great when cleaning and they’re very friendly. Dr. Mulliken is also friendly and (speaking from experience) makes a new, anxious patient feel at ease. He’s communicates well with his patients (something I value now as a pre-​med student) and seems to genuinely enjoy what he’s doing. In the 8 to 10 or so years I have been his patient, I have gotten regular cleanings done (and actually enjoy them) as well as had all four of my wisdom teeth pulled (by Dr. Mulliken). I highly recommend him if you’re looking for a dentist who is professional, has great communication, and has a friendly staff!
