The wash is TOO AGGRESSIVE!!!
I have been through car washes with my roof equipment on my car many many times. I went through this one and it ripped off my roof gear completely! The staff handled the situation very unprofessionally.
I got out of the wash and I went and told the employees something was really wrong with the wash. I proceeded to vacuum my car and could hear them saying they pulled something out and they kept walking past my car. My sister’s car was behind mine and she also said things were off.
I got home and then realized my whole rack was missing from my roof. I called and they said, «Oh yeah we got one here. Came off about 30 minutes ago.». Why didn’t they notify me earlier when I was at the wash??? Because once I am off the lot they are no longer liable.
I go into claim my broken rack and the guy argues with me that it wasn’t my rack. 1. Who wants to come collect a totally destroyed roof rack that isn’t theirs? 2. Wouldn’t I remember if I went into the wash with a rack and came out without one? They pulled up the video, sure enough it was me. Also, my sister’s car ran over the rack which explains her flat tire she had when she got home.
Of course they cover none of the damages since they let us leave the lot.
Un-​classy, un-​professional and just rude.

I’ve been through a couple of times, and can probably say this is one of the nicer car washers around. At least, it’s a different kind of experience.
There are, in my estimate, about 4 kinds of car washes in this world.
1) Self-​wash
2) Gas station car wash
3) Fine detailing
4) Ride through
Technically, a ride-​through and a gas station might be the same kind of thing, but we’re talking about a car wash where you stay in the car, but you go for a ride, and lots of magical things happen. That’s what Rocket is.
Drive up, pay your money (is there always an attendant there?) and enter the corridor. There are many levels of washing, foaming, rinsing, drying, and poof. Daylight. You’re done. They do a nice job, and the big bonus is that vacuums are part of the deal there. Just pull around and vacuum to your heart’s content.
It hovers around $ 10, just below, as I recall. Or you can buy an unlimited monthly pass and go three times a day if you prefer.

It’s easy to use but like most car washes it doesn’t dry the best. Vacuums are a big make it or break it for me and I think they have decent enough ones here. I’m picky about my vacuums lol

I love how fast the whole process is! My car always feels like a new car after I’m done here. Definitely try these guys out next time you need you car or truck to feel new again. They will have your ride ready for date night as soon as you get there!!!

First, let’s start with the good. Great location right off State St and 7200 S. The employees were pretty nice and are usually smiling and helpful. They have plenty of vacuums, and oh yeah! They have security cameras! We’ll get to why that’s so important in a second.
Now with the bad. Their location is great but it is not laid out very well. One random weekday afternoon the line to get in was so long it was almost blocking traffic on 7200 S! This wasn’t a saturday in the summer either… This was a random weekday in December/​January.
The sensors they use also aren’t very good either. My driver side mirror always get knocked around constantly while in there. Sometimes my rear wiper gets smacked around too. Most car washes put a plastic bag over the rear wiper to help it avoid getting snagged and ripped off. The rear wiper motor assembly isn’t cheap.
Probably the most important negative about this wash is that my car was hit twice while in this wash. The same trip!!! I was going through the wash as usual; there was a car in front of me and behind me. I was sitting just admiring all the soap on my windshield when BOOM. My car jolts like I ran into something. The water rinses the soap off my car and I realize that my car hit the car in front of me. I didn’t push on the gas either. My car is a manual and was 100% in neutral and my foot was off the clutch and gas. After hitting them, I decided to TAP my brakes to avoid hitting them even more and give some distance. Next thing I know, the truck behind me rear ends me leaving me sandwiched between 2 cars. They have a mirror at the end of the car wash, and I could see the distance between all our cars was very little when exiting. I assume the person in front of me had pushed their brake during the wash, since they were having a difficult time following the attendants instructions when he told them to put their car in neutral
What makes this really bad is this is not an isolated incident. I told a friend about what happened and apparently this exact same thing happened to them as well! At the exact same car wash!
After inspecting the damage (small dent and some scratched up paint) I filled out an incident report and the attendant was pretty helpful. I was told I’d get a call back from the owner after the tapes were reviewed the following day…
I wasn’t surprised when I didn’t receive a call and had to go in to visit in person. The owner gave me a license plate number of the person in front of me, and that’s about all he was willing to do for me. He told me he wasn’t liable for any damages, and he wouldn’t give me a written statement about who was at fault, or what he saw on the cameras; he wouldn’t even tell me who was at fault. Was the person in front of me responsible, or was it a mechanical error? Am I wasting my time pursuing an insurance company about this… He basically did as little as possible to help. I wasn’t even planning on trying to make him pay for damages… My plan was to try to go after the person in front of me. He also never ONCE apologized for my inconvenience in his establishment or what happened to my car. That’s basic customer service skills. Hell, that’s just basic «decent human being» skills. He even went as far as trying to put the blame on me, saying that no matter what happens, you should never push your brake in a car wash… Even if you’re rear ending the person in front of you. Pro tip: Maybe if you didn’t train your attendants to put cars 2 – 3 feet away from each other in the wash, this wouldn’t have happened!
Also something important very to note, when I was in the office talking to the manager and he was looking for the incident report I filled out; I noticed he had 4 – 5 on his desk that he was looking through while trying to find mine. Does this happen often… That’s something to think about.
I ended up getting in contact with person in front of me, and according to them; the tire pusher was pushing their car «weird and jerky». Faulty car wash equipment maybe… They had damage to their rear bumper as well. It was almost coming off on one side.
TL;DR– Basically, not only is this a sub-​par car wash, but the owner will do very little to help you if anything were to go wrong. And from what I can tell, it’s more common at this location than it should be. I’ve been to dozens of car washes in the Salt Lake Valley, and this is the worst. If you’re looking for a place to get an unlimited monthly car wash pass, or just looking for a good wash; Do yourself (and your car) a favor and stay away.

So I save my five star reviews for the best of the best and as car wash establishments go, this is the best of the best in my humble opinion.
Even when there is a line which is often, they usually get you through fairly quickly. There are plenty of vacuum stations, the lot is always clean and every employee that I have ever dealt with has been awesome.
They even offer a monthly pass that you can stick on your windshield that works like an easy pass, pull up and the gate opens and you are in and out in a flash. I had the pass for about six months but found that I was not getting my truck washed often enough to justify the cost of the convenience.
During one visit I experienced a break down where everything stopped but they got it back up and running quickly and the staff was very apologetic about the situation.
Sometimes the care wash facility that you use has more to do with location then other factors but I would drive out of my way to go through the Rocket Express Carwash.

Cane to this car wash today while it was not busy. There was no wait when i came through. The rollers broke while i was halfway through and i was stranded for about 20 minutes. Then they told me to circle around to wash again. But i had to wait through a 20 minute line. Would not recommend to anyone.

Not a fan. Car was damaged and the process to get it fixed was frustrating and changed from one thing to the next. Our family and friends have stopped using this car wash all together.

Easy to pay and enter. Wash is long so it give out plenty of soap and scrub, but still didn’t seem to get my car as clean as others. Thus taking away 1 star. They also have free vacuums.

Best car wash I’ve come across! They have comparable prices, the vacuums work well, and they have a whole room full of powerful dryers! … I just wish they were open Sundays.

Had a winters worth of grime and salt piled up on my car, and checked out the reviews for this place. The results were definitely worth the drive to get to this particular car wash — my car was sparkling after just the basic wash. While its a bit pricier than some of those cheaper options popping up, this wash really delivers, and they have a guarantee that you can go through again if it isn’t clean afterwards. The vacuums also have good suction and got my car looking new again in no time. I’m considering signing up for the monthly unlimited wash plan here.

Hands down! The best car wash in town. Just make sure to roll up your windows first! :)

Pretty quick and got most of my car clean with exception of the leftover roadkill that’s fun driving to Vegas and back.
$ 7 for a basic wash and if they don’t get it clean the 1^st time the offer a guarantee that you can go thru the wash again. When driving thru the wash I thought my car was smoking but it was the steam from the wash.
I also love the free vacuums. It would be good to sell car shampoo but next time I’ll just bring some. I brought my own microfiber towels to dry my car but didnt need it too much. I also use the towels to clean the car Inside and out. I carry lysol wipes and hand sanitizer everywhere so these came in handy for a super clean Caliber today. It’s worth the $ 7 and time spent today for a happy car.

Just be careful putting vacuum nozzle back in holder, you might catch your thumb or fingernail on the holder.

The winter junk got me down. Hard! The salt, the smog, and inversion. I needed some clean car therapy stat! Like stat!!! Here’s the rub (ha, pun on wash) my car has been painted recently which means wax is a no no. Since it has been 8 degrees in the SLC of late I most certainly did not want to stand outside and wash my car by hand.
I was passing by Rocket Express and figured I’d call to see if they had a wax free option. Indeed they do! Maybe most car washes have a wax free option, I’ve just never really looked. Rocket Express claims to have a 4 minute to clean slogan. I timed it, and from pulling into the driveway to pulling out of the wash it was 4 minutes 30 seconds. That included paying for the wash.
There is nothing spectacular about the wash that would set it apart from any other. But I will say that I was rather impressed with the dryers at the end. My car was pretty dry so I did not fear it freezing when I pulled out. The vacuums are free which is nice. All in all an excellent clean car experience. They also have a guarantee that if you are not satisfied with your wash they’ll run it through again.

Went on an adventure to Idaho recently and 5 million bugs (give or take a few) decided to hitch a ride back to Utah with me. Came in for a car wash and got primo service. The kid at the gate took the time to wipe down some tar near my tires and when the bugs didn’t come off after one time through the wash they sent me through again free of charge. I will be returning.

Had an issue with my first experience here, the owner called very concerned we came to an agreement and he took care of the issue. I appreciate him doing so and will go back to rocket express. Thank you.
