O’Reilly Auto Parts

Heber has a lot of auto parts places for a town this size, and these guys have my vote. pretty damn helpful and know what they’re talking about.
I’m a fan.

Though I can’t prove it, I’m convinced the light bulbs in cars have their own labor union. The biggest piece of evidence I have is that I’m pretty sure the union boss called for a strike last week, because on Saturday I had to replace 4 bulbs in various places on the car. And that’s after replacing a tail light last week to avoid getting pulled over for a third time in Moab.
Here’s what I know about O’Reilly. They’re right off of State Street in the mid-​south party of the valley (Midvale nearing Sandy) and they have a surprisingly large store. I don’t ever get into the really gearheady kinds of auto parts — let’s leave that to the experts — but O’Reilly has a nice selection of the easy-​to-​fix stuff that’s laid out as self serve on the sales floor. You know the stuff: fluids, wipers, bulbs, accessories, and more for the quick fixes.
They’ve also got several pros on hand who can look anything up on their snappy computers and fetch (or order) any part you’d like to get your hands on. They were more than willing to help me find what I needed and gave me the ever important reminded NOT to touch the headlight bulb as I was installing it. Good reminder.
The store is nice, lots of parking, and full of people willing to help. A lot of the old union bulbs have now retired and the new guys are shining brightly.
