Came here to use the driving range with the kids. Not coming here again as they allow smoking on premises. I believe that’s against the law. If not, it’s just bad business.

This driving range needs to replace some of the hitting areas of the golf mats as many of them are worn out resulting in bad lies. And replace the black standing area of the mats at the far end of the range. Also, open up more of the doors when it is hot for better air flow and position the fans above so they point to the middle of the mat instead at the inner end. Turn the fans and the heaters on more promptly. And turn off the music. It is too loud when trying to concentrate on the golf swing. The speaker is positioned towards the center of the range so it is hard to escape this distracting noise. These simple steps would go along way to making it more effective and comfortable to practice golf here.

I’ve been here a few times to use the driving range with my husband. It’s okay. It’s not Glen Allen Golf, but I’m also not planning on driving 40 minutes to a driving range. My husband uses it quite a bit on his days off. We had a couple friends in town visiting for the weekend and we were looking for something fun to do. I looked and saw we had a coupon for this place for buy two get two free for mini-golf so we went. My husband went before with his brother and enjoyed it. We presented the person behind the counter(who I believe is the owner) with the coupon. He kind of stared at it with much scrutiny, even though it was his coupon! My husband paid and then he turned around and went to the back office. We had to figure out where the clubs and balls were on our own. The four of us there were the only ones on the course, so no complaints there. Some of the lights were out on the course and we went while the sun was setting. It wasn’t impossible to see, but it wasn’t as bright as it could be. The course was not as torn up as some I’ve seen, but there was one hole where the water trap wasn’t on and one where it goes over a grate, but we had to be careful as the grate had a whole big enough for the ball to go through as someone had previously bent it… We enjoyed ourselves because we could enjoy things anywhere, but I think we’ll stick to using the driving range for when it’s convenient and cheap. You can tell some additional care could be used on the course, but for now it’s okay.

Came here last night bc they had a Groupon running, and my family and I were looking to do something fun and inexpensive together. I used to come here a lot as a teenager, and honestly this place has seen better days. It’s not in terrible condition, but it’s not in great condition either. However we still had a really good time and I would come back with my family for another inexpensive night out. I will also say that the staff was really nice.

After moving out of the Richmond area, I recently visited Rockwood Golf Park to utilize some of the 40 buckets of balls I had remaining on a key purchased under prior ownership. I was informed by the new owner(he calls himself Yang) that he would not honor the remaining credit under my purchase from the prior owner. In his words, «you paid him, not me». Needless to say, I WILLNOT be utilizing this facility and I recommend that you don’t either. The conditions under current ownership have deteriorated to a laughable level and the new owner doesn’t understand how to keep his customers happy.
