On Point Inspections

Phil inspected two homes for me and was professional and honest. The first had major issues and I’m glad he pointed them out before I went through with the deal. He was then very thorough on the second as well and helped me make a decision to but that home.

Philip was punctual, professional and patient. He took the time to explain to me all the things he was doing, finding and recommending. I felt very comfortable with the information Philip provided and knew exactly what repairs were more pressing than others.
I’m even more excited now to move in to my new home!

My realtor recommended Phil for my home inspection, and I was happy with the results. He showed up right on time, and was very thorough with his inspection.
Since this is the second time I am purchasing a home I felt a little more knowledgeable going through the process, but Phil still walked me through everything and explained every last detail and pointed out a couple things I hadn’t noticed before.
He promised the report later that night, and he delivered. I know how busy it is right now (he and my realtor were chatting about it before the seller’s agent showed up to let us in), so the fact that he got the report to me so quickly was a surprise and very appreciated.

This company did an inspection on my home for a potential buyer. The inspector left a door to my deck unlocked and partially open, as well as a window. Dirt was tracked through my house. The lid to my water softner was removed and left on the floor. Every light in the house was left on. Pieces of carpet and bath mats were moved and left wherever they were tossed. The fact that the inspector left my home in a condition different than when he walked in, coupled with mutilple inaccuracies in the report, forces me to state that this company is very unprofessional. He claimed that the second furnace was nonfunctional, yet it ran all winter and is still running, making it completely funcational. He claimed there was no thermostat to the second furnace, yet it is clearly mounted on the master bedroom wall. He claimed that the sump pump was nonfunctional, yet I have a walk out basement — above ground, on a sloping hill. Water is pulled away from the house by gravity. The sump pump is functional, but it has never had to run a day in it’s life. He made remarks about cracks in the logs (log home), yet that is completely normal. It’s called checking, and anyone who knows anything about log homes will tell you that it is completely normal and all log homes have checking. He was completely out of his depth and should not inspect any log homes. I completely agree that there are things that need repair — it is a used home, but the report was completely exaggerated. Regardless of the report, I did not appreciate the way he left my home in disarray.

Phillip did an awesome job… I called him with not much notice and even rescheduled my appointment due to a deadline. He was very professional and knowledgeable and so very detailed and indepth during the inspection… I would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs a quality inspection and at a very competitive price. The report was delivered in a neat, concise, and timely manner… a pleasure doing business with him…

We just used Phil for our inspection this past weekend and he was tremendously thorough and knowledgable. Having done some rehab work on homes in the past I would count myself as fairly knowledgable, but Phil found possible items of concern that I would have not noticed otherwise. He also took time to explain everything to us as he did the inspection. I would highly recommend On Point.
