History
Established in 2011.
You know how people always give you advice telling you to do what you are good at and what you love to do? Well for me, that boiled down to this. I love creating things. I love listening to, meeting with and helping customers. Last, but hardly least, I love a good party. So here we are friends. After working for 15 years in the invitation business in both Virginia and California I decided it was time to do this myself. I live in Midlothian and the Village really needed an invitation store so… Invitation to Party was born!

I began to appreciate printed paper when I was just a kid in the early 80’s, and my job after school was to sit in the stockroom of my parents store and letterpress note cards, napkins and the like for customers. My passion for invitations started with a job I had at a fine stationers in Los Angeles in 1997. Once I held engraved linen in my hand and personally tied a silk ribbon around it, there was no going back. It was there that I learned all about what was proper and extraordinary. From there, my passion took me to Orange County, Ca. where I consulted and designed for the largest invitation and party store in the area. From them I learned the beauty of custom work. Layers, handmades, ribbons, artwork — even the ability to pull a poem for a kids party invitation out of the depths of my mind on the fly. Good times!
