Specialties
Stephens Natural Outlook, LLC, helps managers and patrons of Michigan’s natural features find the hidden natural value of their properties. It provides engaging and informative consultation, support and education services that add value to visitors’ and ecotourists’ outdoor experiences by helping to decipher the story the land has to tell. This includes developing a Natural Features Experience Plan and Natural Features Inventory (to evaluate and improve trails, wildlife viewing areas, and valuable natural features), as well as custom maps, written brochures, web content, and photography.
History
Established in 2013.
After over 30 years as a naturalist and wildlife researcher, Phil Stephens created Stephens Natural Outlook, primarily to help ecotourism businesses and land managers connect their patrons with the natural features of their properties. Phil has consulted for projects as diverse as museum exhibits; wetlands determination; and land inventory, use and management. In addition, he has drafted custom maps and provided photographs for private companies, museums, and the National Park Service. Phil is also a public speaker and outdoor trainer.
