If you’re looking for good quality American/Chinese food. This is the place. Reasonably priced good service and fairly fast. Had sesame chicken, coconut chicken & fried wantons. All were very good.

This is one of my favorite lunch and dinner places. Lunch menu is very reasonably priced. Quality is fresh and you get a lot for your money. Only thing I would stay away from is the Mapu tofu. They used the wrong type of tofu for this recipe. And if you want your food spicy, ask for a side of chili oil. They never make their food spicy enough.

The food here had good, rich flavor. I had Kung Pao chicken and it was spicy without being overwhelming. There was a good quantity of food; enough to save some to eat later, and the lunch special prices were very good. Also had some cream cheese won tons and an egg roll and they were quite good too. I enjoyed the egg drop soup as well. The service was good except the waitress did not check on us quite enough, we kind of had to wait a while for the ticket and some drink refills.

I will never eat here again. When I complained about my food tasting bad, the owner picked up my fork & ate off my plate. She put my fork back into my food & said it was good & I needed to eat it. She actually expected me use the fork that was just in her mouth. I have never been so grossed out in my life!

Ordered take out. They said 15 minutes and we were there right on time and food was waiting on us. Got home and nothing was hot or even warm. We had the appetizer platter — all the food was room temp at best. The ribs were tough, the beef sticks were tough. Ordered Mongolian steak — meat was tough and chunky — not slices as you usually get. My pork fried rice was pretty good, but would have been better if it had been hot. It seemed like the food had been sitting out a while — like it was already prepared and just dished out into the to go boxes. I am new to town and heard great things about this place, but it certainly fell short. I don’t know if I will try it again or not.

My family has been coming here for years. I have yet to find anywhere as good or better than it. I no longer live in midland and am never as satisfied when getting take out Chinese elsewhere. I guess I should stop trying to compate other places. The food is always very tasty and fresh. They are quick and are always nice. I have to come here each time I come home for a visit.

Love this place. After eating there for so long, the staff already knows us well enough to bring out our drinks and appetizers. Service is generally quick and food is great!

Favorite Chinese food anywhere. Hot&sour soup is sooooo good! Consistently good. The staff is friendly. And the price is unbeatable! Highly recommend. And try the plum wine or sake with your meal.

Kuos is a great spot for a nice sit down Chinese dinner. The service is good but most servers speak limited English. We had sesame chicken with friend rice. The sesame chicken is the best in town. We also had the Bo Bo platter. Everything was great except for the ribs.

I have been eating here for years and I have never been disappointed. The prices are excellent, especially at lunch. The wait staff has always been friendly and efficient. I lived in Houston and Dallas for years and this beats any Chinese food there in this price range. Go Kuo’s!

Went to this place a little weary due to all the negative reviews. I was presently surprised by the outcome. The food was better then I expected and the egg roll was very good. The waitstaff are strait from China, something I wouldn’t expect in Midland. Overall, best Chinese in the city… but that’s not saying much…

I think it is the best Chinese food in Midland, but still needs a lot of improvement. I’ve ordered many of their dishes and they’re all fairly bland. In fact, I have ordered two different dishes and couldn’t tell the difference in taste. I’ll come back just because there aren’t any alternatives that are better.

Yikes. that was pretty bad. Staple lunch item. but the food just did not taste good. Over cooked /gamy beef in the beef & broc. pineapple chicken tasted bland and the chicken had a weird consistancy. the hot & sour soup tasted watered down. The cheese wonton had more wonton than cheese.

It’s always packed here at lunch. I don’t know why, the food is not that great. I guess, I’m always comparing all asian foods I’ve had in California. Their lunch specials are decent priced. Other than that regular plates like Generals Chicken 8.50? I couldn’t even substitute the sweet and sour chicken for general chicken on the lunch special. Fried rice was gross… nothing in it. I dunno whats up with the chinese style fried rice here, but I swear all the wait staff and cooks were chineseso you would think they would know how to make fried rice?!

i have been pretty displeased with kuo’s, although i don’t even live in Midland. everything you get is sauced up so much that it wilts everything in the dish. i’m partial to the lo mein, and when i got the chicken lo mein, it was practically free of taste. especially the chicken. the sweet and sour pork was so fried that i could hardly chew it, yet the batter was still undercooked. it was like a chinese riddle — literally. they screwed our order up the last time as well. what was supposed to be general tsao’s chicken ended up being some chicken dish that was(seriously) chicken — again free of any taste — and probably a pound of green peppers, which were undercooked. i understand completely that a chinese restaurant is what you get, but this is pretty lackluster, by all accounts. even the sweet and sour sauce tasted funny. i’m going to explore other avenues before returning here again.

OMG! I have to agree with Dean T. their food is terribly bland! Ugh! Now my boyfriend can’t stand the King and I so he wanted to try something new. He ordered the lemon chicken and i got the beef and broccoli which is the same thing I get at King and I. Now, I will say that the portion size is much bigger compared to the King and I but the beef was just tasteless. I couldn’t eat it all it tasted so bad. I will not be going here again. Once is enough! The king and I is much better!
