15+ miles of trails open daily from dawn-to-dark. Our Visitor Center offers free admission to an Ecosystem Gallery, River Overlook, Wildlife Viewing Area, Nature Discovery Area and Nature Center Store. We also have a Homestead Farm and Log Schoolhouse open Memorial Day through Labor Day. Visit the Sugarhouse in March to see sap boiling demonstrations during Maple Syrup Season.
Enjoy naturalist led hikes, free walk-in programs and pre-registered field trips and workshops. From birding to kayaking and off-site hikes to traditional skills and fly-fishing programs, there are programs for youth, adults and families.
School programs, Nature Preschool and Nature Day Camp provide children with many opportunities for interaction with the natural world.

Chippewa Nature Center is a private nature center, open to the public year-round. Its mission is to help people enjoy and learn about the environment, as well as to inspire and teach them how to be responsible stewards of the land, water and air.
