Welcome to Light the Way Counseling Center, LLC. We are NJ Licensed therapists: Professionals Counselors, Clinical Social Workers and Marriage and Family Therapists.

Brief History:

Light the Way was founded in 2004 by Cindy Picht and Diane Popiela. Cindy is our Clinical Director and a Licensed Professional Counselor since 1999. Diane is our Director of Operations and involved in non-​clinical functions.

In 2009 we opened an office in Fort Lee, NJ. In 2011 we opened our third location, which is in Verona, NJ. We also relocated our main office from Hawthorne, NJ to Midland Park, NJ in July 2011. We have 7 dedicated counselors on our team who have a passion for people and a motivation for clinical excellence. We continue to provide a warm, friendly, inviting environment as we work with people to break through their obstacles, addictions, defenses to live a life that is more fulfilling and to help them reach their potential.

What We Do

As professionals we abide by the ethics, laws and regulations of the State of New Jersey. We maintain the highest integrity and standards and treat each individual with love, compassion and respect. We treat each individual, couple and family with care and design a plan specifically for them. We also work with them to break through the barriers that have kept them stuck in a place they no longer want to be and help them find the healing that can provide fullness in their lives…
