Salernos Deli & Bagels

Ugh! I woke up really wanting a bacon egg and cheese and boy am I disappointed. The sausage tastes like it was over microwaved. For $ 5.25 with a coffee I was better off at Dunkin Dounuts. They get two stars because the coffee is decent

Completely over priced, the people are rude they talk to you as if your bothering them & the food was ok at most.

This place used to be fantastic. A hero would come with a side of pasta/​potato salad, pickle and chips for a fair price. They did away with the side of pasta/​potato salad. Soon after, the quality of the deli meats as well as the sandwich construction went downhill. The last straw for me was when I ordered a hero and the person that constructed it cut a tiny sliver of crust off the top of the bread, slapped half of the content of what the sandwich should’ve contained on top with a mountain of mayo, and laid the sliver of crust back on top. Completely unacceptable. I’m embarassed for them. I saw it happen to two other coworkers of mine in the next few weeks to follow. Haven’t been back since.

Overall the food here is good. I’ve had some hits and misses. The Italian combo hero is very good. As is the chicken parm hero and the salads. The roast beef on garlic bread wasn’t that great though, there was hardly any garlic or butter on the «garlic bread» which made the sandwich dry. Delivery can take awhile so if you use it I would suggest you order something that won’t soggy on the way.

This is all your looking for in a Deli with some excellent surprises! They have the usual selection of sandwiches all over stuffed and a varied offering of hot sandwiches, wraps and paninies all prepared fast and fresh. The bagels are all ways warm and fresh when i get there for my morning coffee. Lunch can be busy but it is handled efficiently by the friendly very capable staff. I work in the area and our office often orders lunch which is delivered with in a reasonable time frame and as ordered. This is an old school deli and that is a very good thing.
