With so many unfavorable reviews, I felt the need to add my two cents. I genuinely like this place. Yes, it’s a chain which most Aquidneck residents seem to dislike but seeing as I’m not a local I like that I know what to expect. The staff is friendly, the food is as tasty as you pay for, the bathrooms are reasonable and the service is generally good(although the wait time could be better). My family and I like to go on Sunday afternoons and a handful of special occasions. Some of the staff remember us and are always kind. My waitress on my birthday was especially helpful, if a bit talkative. They have followed the trend and offer seasonal options which I thought were tasty. Ruby Tuesday is far from the most popular place in town. They don’t seem to handle large crowds well, but that just leaves more for me! I have no major complaints about this location. I was hesitant to go after so many negative reviews. Why not give it a try and form your own opinion?

I do not usually write reviews for Chains like Ruby Tuesday — most of us know what to expect at a place like this. Alas, Ruby Tuesday in Middletown surprised me! Of course, as you can tell from my one star rating… not in a good way! Unbelievably bad service, poorly prepared food, and disappointing upkeep of the restaurant. The boyfriend and I came to Ruby Tuesday for a couple quick drinks and appetizers. as we were just looking for an easy food break. We sat at the bar, where waitresses on and off the clock seemed to be congregating with their«regulars» and friends down at the end. I would say the restaurant was 50% full. The bartender took our drink orders first. Our two cocktails took 20 minutes to be delivered to us. and we were at the bar! In that time he never acknowledged us to take the food order, even though we had let him know we would be ordering. The drinks were just OK, a normal overpriced chain cocktail. I cringed when I saw the bartender fumbling through the screen with the tutorial on how to make the drink… it was obvious he did not know the menu. Meanwhile, the rest of the staff are randomly around the restaurant — some of them just talking to each other in the corner. Others with friends at the bar. The poor manager seemed to be the only person working. Finally our food order was taken, we ordered two appetizers. I can’t remember what the first one was, but the second was chips and queso. The plate of chips was ridiculously small, but the bartender assured me he would bring us out more. I have no idea why we had to wait for more chips from the kitchen — because all of them were extremely stale. I wish I had listened to local coworkers who said this place isn’t worth stopping in — they were right! Don’t waste your time or money here. I don’t understand how they are still open. For me the worst part was the obvious break down in management of the place… We were forced to listen to all kinds of gossip, complaints, and misunderstandings of the staff — completely off putting.

I wish I could say that the food was horrible. But we never received our food! I went there to order food and was told to come back in twenty minutes. i come back after 20 minutes and wait at the bar, still no food but the bartender who took my order assures me that the food will be out shortly. The place was pretty slow(which should have told me something) so I wait another 10 minutes at the bar filled with ‘the fruit flies that are so hard to get rid of’. I ask bartender again, and she sends someone back to the kitchen ‘they’re working on it right now’. by now two hungry kids are asking to leave and get food anywhere else. The manager comes out after 40 minutes and the bartender/waitress never entered our order until I showed up at the bar! I’m infuriated that this blonde numbskull let me sit there and lied to me!!! Ruby Tuesday’s is a place you end up, not a place you plan to go. But don’t let that detract from the awesome service and tasty food! If chain restaurants are your thing, this is probably your best option on the island. I love their white cheddar mashed potatoes. I don’t ever have to add salt to my food(ahemmmm… APPLEBEE’S) They have a couple of more local-oriented beers on tap, so that always gains stars in my book. Bartenders have always been very chatty and friendly. It not my first choice, but its my first last resort.

I was disappointed in our experience. First, when we ordered, our waitress told us she just put in biscuits, which would have been nice, but she forgot them. We ordered the salad bar and since we were there around 3 for a late lunch, the kitchen was not busy and we received our dinner within minutes. Our waitress apologized for that. She came back in 1 minute to see if everything was ok and then we never saw her again, until we were done. I stalled with myy crab cake because I wanted the sauce that was described on the menu and we wanted to ask about the biscuits. But I suspect she went on a break, because we never saw her. I ended up finishing my crab cake without the sauce(which was good), but would have been better with the sauce. The salad bar was disappointing, had been sitting there for a while. Our waitress was very pleasant and seemed knowledgeable but I wish she had been around to help us. I would probably not come here again.

Ruby Tuesday is nothing spectacular, my seller on this place is the salad bar. although this visit I was slightly disappointed. Alot of the veggies weren’t very fresh and you had to pick around to get the good ones. I also love pasta/potato salads and theirs were doused in mayonnaise so I stayed away. The salads I did make were quite delicious and how can you go wrong for $ 8.99 and have unlimited trips! service was good, everyone in the restaurant was quite friendly.

We tried Ruby’s instead of our regular place but unfortunately came away disappointed with the slow service and overall quality of the food. We almost left because of the long delay before being served, a mix up over changing kegs meant my beer never came but was charged for it. The pasta and broccoli was overcooked We frequent another chain restaurant and even though they are busy we always come away from there feeling satisfied and full.

Very close to getting three stars due to our waitress, saved by a very pleasant manager. Food was fantastic, we were looking for a higher level dining experience for a sons graduation from Naval OCS, time restraints lead us here and glad it did. Rib Eye was wonderful, salmon great, steak and shrimp… steak was a little well done. all in all, very nice place and recommended.

We went to Ruby Tuesday per my mom’s suggestion; I’m picking the restaurant next time! Our server was VERY pleasant… always made sure our drinks were full and offered dessert, coffee, etc. That was the best part of our experience. Hubby ordered a burger done«medium» but was more like«well done». He liked the rice pilaf and onion rings though. My mom said her(chicken) dinner was tasty, but she wasn’t crazy about the salad bar(can’t say I blame her). My dad’s meatloaf looked gross with this weird gravy/bbq sauce mixture. My ribs were dry & not very flavorful at all. The kicker was my «side» of mac & cheese. It came in a little side bowl, but it was just A LAYER of mac & cheese… like elbows side to side & not«pig pilled» on top. It WAS a side, but I’ve seen bigger sides on a kid’s meal at Friendly’s. My hubby & I both ordered fruit iced teas(peach for me, blackberry for him) and those were fantastic! Fresh fruit that you can suck through a straw! Doesn’t get much better than that(unless you add alcohol)… I would not return for dinner, but I would certainly consider it for drinks.

Went for some early drinks with the girls. Not impressed. The margarita was made with a sugary mix and ZERO tequila. Don’t order off the $ 5 drink menu, the discount relfects the lack of alcohol. Can’t speak to the food, but the cheesy bisquit things they served were pretty yummy.

I went here today with family visiting from Ohio. The waiter Jim was extremely nice, energetic, knowledgeable about menu and attentive without being overbearing. I loved the red berry iced tea, although it had a little too much fruit at the bottom. But it had real tea taste which is great! The majority of us all got burgers which were tasty, and even though mine wasn’t cooked to my liking, I still enjoyed it. I love cupcakes so I was excited to see«gourmet» cupcakes on the menu. They weren’t gourmet, but satisfied my craving. The red velvet was very moist however the frosting tasted like the Betty crocker canned frosting. Not bad tasting but not homemade either. I’ll be back here soon enough I’m sure!
