The worst-​run service department I have ever experienced.
Checked in at 7:45 am on 2 June 2016 for an 8 am appointment to have my 2008 C-​RV inspected. My service rep is Kelly Stine. One other person in wait room.
Circa 9:30, Kelly tells me that power steering pump was leaking and needs to be replaced, but that part is in stock. She says it will take 1 ½ hours. About 2 hours later, I learn that part was mislabeled and that the correct replacement had to be brought in. Shortly after noon, they are installing the part. Circa 12:30, I am told they are beginning inspection.
At 1p, another woman in service reception informs me that inspection machine is «locked» and that they are contacting NYDMV to unlock. At 1:30, I am offered a loaner car because they don’t know when machine will be fixed. I opt instead to leave with my car — still un inspected — and pay the bill for the pump repair.
Then service brings out somebody else’s car! Imagine that! They had somehow managed to mix up my 2008 CR-​V with another person’s 2002 C-​RV. It was the other car that had the power steering pump problem. So they refund my money and I leave — one disgusted customer.
Making matters worse was the lack of any remorse on the part of service rep Kelly. No apology at all. And just a shrug-​shoulder response to my question about why they never began the inspection of my car at the 8 am appointment time.
So, 6 hours wasted, and nobody ever looked at my car.
My advice is never trust your vehicle with this dealership. It is incompetent. Lord only knows what quality the mechanical work and how honest.
And I wonder how the owner of the other Honda will feel about the pump replacement without his okay.

I would give them 0 stars if I could. Horrible service. 3 visits over a month each taking many hours and the seat belt of my car still not fixed. Over expensive. Just plain shitty.

My experience… Came in for an oil change albeit no appointment, got in will have to wait 2 hrs. Only fair for someone with no appointment. As you pull in through the garage, you have to drive over their sensor speed bump, the one that tells you have low your thread tires are and if your alignment is off. Well apparently I needed an alignment even though I recently changed my tires this summer and the wheels where aligned this year. As the rep mentioned my needed service, I pointed out the nubby rubber stubs in the side of my wheels indicating that my wheels were still new.
Sitting room is large, plenty of seats, complementary coffee.
Free multipoint inspection — recommend change for the car’s mileage… Spark plug change for the V-​6, cost around $ 375 plus tax…

They tried to charge me $ 1500 for work my car didn’t need. I brought in my vehicle for a recalled air bag. They did their «complimentary multi point inspection» as part of the service. I got a call a few hours later telling me my steering rack was leaking very badly and it needed to be replaced. They said it would cost $ 1500+. I told them I would have to talk with my husband because it was such an expensive repair. I got my car back and took it to my mechanic the next morning for a second opinion. They looked my vehicle over and said Middletown Honda was just out to get my money: nothing was leaking, not a single drop, all the fluid was full. They couldn’t make it leak even after driving it around. I called Mary (the service person who I was dealing with) back and reported this to her: I don’t appreciate being ripped off; I was furious. Do you think I’m stupid?! She said she would «look into it.» I’m still waiting for a phone call back from someone. Never, never go there. At least they washed the car for me. That was nice.

UPDATED REVIEW: I have put LESS than 5000 miles on my certified civic purchased in May and made all of 2 payments on this car, took it in for the first oil change and was told I needed new tires! Took them somewhere else for a second opinion and was told there was no way that my tires decreased from at least 50 seconds to 43 according to my mileage. When I bought this car I was told if anything on the car had less than 50% life on the vehicle they would be replaced. Now how is it I have managed to ride this tires into the ground at an alarming rate all within staying in under 5k miles or 3 – 4 months? Do not buy cars here. Do not go here for service. Don’t do it. My parents had been looking to buy a Pilot from Keegan to replace their aging Ford Escape. Unfortunately now instead of replacing my tires as would be the correct and honest thing to do at no cost to me, you not only lost all my money in services that I would ever need on this car, you’ve now lost a car sale of over $ 25,000 and all the repairs and services my parents would have gotten. So instead of giving me new tires at around $ 400 you lost AT LEAST $ 25,000. Awkward.

The worst customer service for auto repair I have ever experienced. Kelly my service agent said she would contact me after the car was gone over. They had the shuttle drive me to the local mall. After 3 hours I did not hear from her. I called her and the she was not there, I got her message machine with no forwarding extension to speak with anyone else. I called again after 10 minutes at which point she what needed to be done to my car. It was already 2pm and I asked if they could give me a loaner car. Kelly said they didn’t have one but they would make arrangements with Enterprise Rent A Car at MY EXPENSE!!. Their shuttle picked me up and brought me back. I asked for the service manager, Craig and told him about my discontent and all he did was blame it on how much extra work Honda Corporation was giving them. To make a long and unpleasant story short… NO NOT EVER bring your car to this rip off of a service repair shop.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS HONDA SERVICE DEALER
The service department is the comprised of the rudest individuals.
I now have to bring a car less 1 year old to another professional mechanic who knows what they are doing.
IF YOU WANT TO GO THERE DO THE FOLLOWING=
— Keep cell phone on recording when bring it in and explain the issue.
— When picking up the car make sure give you the correct keys and problem is corrected.
— Make him go with you for a test drive and insist they listen not talk.
— If possible stay with the car and monitor the work being done. DO NOT LEAVE IT.
— Do the survey after you test your car & make sure the problems are corrected.
Remember that each HONDA Dealer is Private own and service is (you will decide).

I would not do business at middletown honda see middletown ny newspaper. I feel dealer alternative would be better option to service your honda

I have purchased 3 Hondas from middletown Honda. The last one was a nightmare from incorrect paperwork at signing to not processing the refund for a warranty.
Now is I see they got caught overcharging on prosessing fees .
Honda should pull the dealership. never again would I ever walk in this dealership .

First impression-​getting information and someone to talk to is like pulling teeth.
I’m from OC, I was in the military for the past 9 years and I am moving back to OC.
I am moving from California and bought my 2006 Honda Civic SI in Allston, MA. I have lived in TX, FL, etc. and I have always used Honda Dealers for service. I have never had such problems with communication and scheduling. I was going to buy an additional car but not from here.
If you have to «check,» with your manager on whether I can mail new tires to your dealership to install them or «check» with your manager on how brakes cost, then most likely there is a different price for everyone and they will try to screw you. If you have problems go to honda directly and complain about the dealer.

My car was at this facility for two months being repaired following a lightning strike. While they were helpful with loaning me a car when I had run out of days that would be reimbursed by my insurance company, they held my car for two weeks after my insurance company guaranteed them direct payment. When my car was finally returned to me the interior was disgusting! It looked as though someone had played in Sheetrock dust and smeared it all over the interior. I took it and had it cleaned at my own expense rather than address it with my service advisor who had moved on to the next customer. I just did not have time to wait on them yet again. I did speak with a salesperson regarding purchasing a new car and was given a price with consideration that I had just paid out $ 1,000 in insurance deductibles. I went to Morehead Honda instead — they gave me a better price with no prior relationship. Shame on Middletown Honda for their lack of customer care.

Today I returned to the dealership to replace a broken driver vanity mirror and AGAIN address an issue with my bluetooth system — callers could not hear me via the handsfree system. I was greeted by my customer advisor and shuttled to my home while my car was repaired. I was picked up at my home three hours later. My car was repaired, but what was more encouraging was the improvement in the customer service delivery of my service advisor. He greeted me upon my return to the dealership, enthusiastically informed me of the repairs that were done and assured me that I could contact him if anything recurred. What seems like a minor tweak in service delivery made a world of difference. My hope is that the improvement in service delivery continues since I really like this dealership and want to continue to give them my business. Things are certainly looking up and my hope is to again see Middletown Honda as a favorite I recommend to friends and family.

Wasted my time, called for appt for a recall three days before. Got there, they did not have a part they needed, so I will have to go back. No apologies until I pointed out how unprofessional it was and inconvenient.
This is not the first time I have left there with a bad taste in my mouth. Buying a used car there was not a good experience either. The feeling is that they are a finely tuned greed machine looking to take your money any way they can. Lost a key 150 to replace, acted like I was out of line for saying it was too expensive. I like the cars, but not these people.

Although those at the dealership seemed semi-​friendly at first, there are a few reasons I purchased a car elsewhere…
When I had originally made my online price request and was forced to type in a phone number I wrote in the memo section that I did not want ANY phone calls, and while other dealerships respect this, theirs does not. I understand that I could have called and said I’m no longer interested, etc., but unlike those who have a 9 – 5 job & can freely make those calls, I’m a full time student and I work odd hours at a full time job. I don’t have the time to make or receive any calls, ever. The constant missed calls and voice messages get so annoying, and it amazes me that you have no way to keep track in your computer system which numbers do not answer any calls for months (and probably won’t). MONTHS! I received weekly and sometimes bi-​weekly calls from this dealership.
I would also never recommend Middletown Honda to anyone, ever, because the car I was actually interested in– (emailed about, was listed online in their inventory, received an email quote for, called on one of my only days off– to make sure the car was there & still available, and then immediately came into the dealership to test drive/​buy) was non-​existent. Basically my time has been wasted enough.
To be honest, after my visit at their dealership in which the car I had been emailing/​calling about turned out to be nonexistent, and then their rude salesmen tried to push me into looking at a car I wasn’t even the slightest bit interested in, I decided not to buy from the Honda brand at all. And I’m glad I decided not to because after purchasing my new car, sitting in the brand new honda felt like sitting in a car made ten years ago.
I apologize if this message is rude, but I don’t understand how anyone in a sales/​customer service position would treat their potential customers the way I was treated at your dealership.
After I called and left an extremely nasty voicemail for this dealership all calls and emails finally stopped. None of the people I interact with, nor I, will ever purchase from Middletown Honda.

My review is about a *sales* experience, not a *service* experience.
Fabio helped me from start to finish, and he was polite, humble, and not loud (something I appreciate from anyone trying to sell me something). On my second visit I brought my mother (for whom I was purchasing this car), and he listened patiently while I translated my mother’s questions to English and his answers back to Korean. He enthusiastically ran back and forth several times to print recalculations as I kept adjusting the parameters to questions, like, «Okay, what if I put down $_​_​_​, but paid over _​_​_​months, then would I qualify for the Flex Spending program? What’s my monthly payment, then?», without the slightest hint of impatience or exhaustion.
So, I ended up purchasing a new 2013 Honda Accord here after trying several other dealerships. Typically I know certified pre-​owned is the way to go, but I was only in town for a week to resolve the issue of my mom not having a car, and buying new was a security blanket.
More than 2 months later, I called Fabio back, as GEICO needed me to fax them the Bill of Sale and window sticker. (I already did, and so did Fabio, but apparently GEICO’s too busy making stupid commercials to keep track of customer documents.) Fabio was happy to find those documents and fax them right away, finally resolving that issue.
In short, ask for Fabio! He’s great.
But hey. No car-​buying experience will feel good if you don’t do your research. Without knowing what a «destination fee» is and whether you should be able to get that waived by the manufacturer, you might end up paying $ 500 more than you need to. Without knowing to expect registration fees of $ 125 (or whatever it is now in New York State) and other such *valid* fees, you might lead yourself to suspicion and harbor negative feelings… but that’s your own fault. Google «How to buy a car,» there are plenty of resources. Walk into the dealership looking to make a friend. A good salesperson wants you to be happy first and thinks about his or her profit second. Don’t be afraid to ask a million questions. Above all, don’t be afraid to walk out if you get a bad vibe. Don’t second-​guess your bad vibes, because you’ll remember them after the purchase and wonder about them forever. Having done your research, you and the salesperson should both feel good when the deal is done. Well, only the finance manager should be frowning a little bit ;-)

Took our spare and old 1990 Honda for service last year on the FRONT automatic seat belts which was a lifetime warranty issue supposedly covered by Honda corporate. Made an appointment and waited 90 minutes after that time to get the car inspected. They said they don’t have the seat belt tensioner motor but they will order it. We made a follow up appointment a few days later and brought the car back in. This time I waited 2 hours and when I didn’t hear anything, went up and they said they haven’t worked on it yet — though I saw 2 other NEW cars get in before me. That means they forgot about me.
I waited another 2 hours and they said it was done. Went to try it out and the front seat belt was STILL not working. They said they worked on the back seat belt and put in a new one (???) There was NOTHING wrong with the rear seat belt. Then they said that the car was too old and they could not get that part in to fix the front seat belts. No apologies, no nothing.
I spent over 8 hours waiting for a repair that was ultimately never done. With no apologies and no adequate explanation for the multiple goofs, I would highly NOT RECOMMEND them performing any repairs or business.

I come here for vehicle repairs/​maintenance. I like being able to drive right into the facility. The service associates are professional and do not keep anyone waiting for longer than necessary. While you wait, Middletown Honda offers a free shuttle service to local restaurants and the Galleria Mall. It’s cool because you can remain where you are until your ready to be picked up, even if your repairs/​maintenance are completed. They also wash the outside of your vehicle free of charge. The overall cost is what you would expect from a major vehicle company facility.
