I took my car there at the suggestion of my insurance company and had some front end work done. They did the work and returned it to me within a week (SUPER); however, when I got it back it was quite clear that there was something wrong with my car. I picked it up on a Saturday and when I realized that something was wrong, they were already closed. I then called them on a Tuesday and they said to bring it back. Low and behold there were several broken parts (which could have resulted in an accident!). They had it another week. I picked it up and again it was not fixed! I am not taking it to my personal mechanic to have their work fixed! It was the worst experience that I have ever had with a garage in my life. I wouldn’t even take my kids bike there to be fixed!

Without a doubt the most caring dedicated body shop in the tri-​state area… their work and service is truly amazing. You are always treated like family not just another customer. I recently had 2 vehicles that were in accidents one being major and the other serious enough and Christine and John went above and beyond to make sure I didn’t have a worry. I highly recommend Lothar’s…you will completely satified and happy you put your trust in real professionals!

I was recently in a little fender bender while driving in NYC. Nothing major but I was in need of a little body work on my SUV. I needed a new front right corner panel, a little touch up on my bumper and a new wheel. Now that I type it out it sounds a lot worse that it really was, believe me it wasn’t that bad.
Anyhow, this place was recommended to me by my insurance company (Geico) because it is a Geico «Express» service center. Whatever that means… They made me an appointment for the first thing on Monday morning (accident was on Sat.) I showed up and the Geico adjuster is on-​site, she comes and gives the car a once over and takes a bunch of pictures of the damage. She writes up the estimate on the spot and then passes you over to the actual Lothar’s people to schedule your repair.
I explained that I needed to use the car for the rest of the week to get back and forth to work but that I could leave it at the end of the week since I was traveling on business. They were completely cool with this. Left my car on a Thur night and they had called and left me a message to let me know the work was finished by the following Wed. I didn’t return until labor day weekend so I wasn’t able to pick up my car until after the holiday. I showed up first thing on Tue. morning, paid my deductible (one sucky thing is that they don’t take Amex :-(and I was on my way.
As an added bonus, they detailed my car while they had it. It honestly hasn’t looked this good since I drove it off the lot a couple of years ago. They chiseled the 3 inches of dust off my dashboard and they really didn’t have to go this extra step. I would definitely go back here if I’m in the market for some more body work (on my car that is). Hopefully I won’t be, but ya never know.
