As a native southern Californian used to having Boba easily accessible no matter what city you’re in, finding decent places that sell Boba(or bubble tea as it is more commonly referred to as here) is not an easy task in the Hudson Valley. I was pleasantly surprised to stumble upon Kung Fu Tea. It’s hidden in the corner of a shopping center on Dolson Avenue in Middletown. On a Tuesday afternoon, no other customers were there — I opted for a classic milk tea with boba. The flavor was really good, and the boba was, to my surprise, not bad! It wasn’t too hard, nice and chewy, and slightly sweet. Service was pleasant and fast. I’d definitely come again if I was nearby and see what else might be worth trying.

For starters, they now accept credit. And this was such a good surprise to see bubble tea in Middletown! I hope they’re doing business for years. Wonderful and kind staff, and it’s not too expensive. Will be a returning customer :)

My best friend and I tried out this place today and overall it was amazing! I honestly do not like how their bubble tastes, however, the first time I tried bubble tea was in Los Angeles so from that my standards of it are pretty high. Their tea is wonderful + so yummy. The lady working their was such a sweet woman and even willingly gave my best friend and I a free sample of the passion fruit slush which was also so good!

I’ve only tried the Taro Milk Bubble Tea and it was amaaaazing! I’ve had bubbles that were SLIGHTLY better but these were still really good. I can’t wait until they have the credit card machine working cause I rarely have cash on me. Workers there are really friendly and patient. The place is very clean and modern. I’ve been wishing for a bubble tea place to come here!(and they have free wifi!)

I rarely, if ever, post Unilocal reviews but I love this bubble tea spot so I just had to say something. Beyond the fact that the bubble tea is consistently delicious, the owner/employees are wonderful. I’ve been with friends, family, and classmates to grab bubble tea, and the folks there could not be friendlier. They do a lot to set up free samples outside so people can try some varieties of teas before committing. They’re accommodating for groups and even gave us all passionfruit slush samples when there were a bunch of us after a basketball game, and the folks are just genuinely sweet people which makes the bubble tea even more yummy.

Brew: new and very clean establishment. The service is good but sometimes there is a wait when it gets busy. I’ve been waiting along time for a bubble tea place here in Middletown, so it’s a great addition. Also you can’t go wrong with a little punch card that gives you a free drink!

BUBBLETEAINMIDDLETOWN. YEEEES. The bubbles itself aren’t the greatest ones I’ve had(so I feel like I should take that one star off), but it’s still pretty good! :) The tea is great too! I had the honey green tea with bubbles. I’ve had their milk tea from their stall at Woodbury Commons, which wasn’t spectacular, but I haven’t tried the one they make at this location. The atmosphere of the shop is like most bubble tea shops. It’s awesome that they have Chinese next to the English on the menu! It’s very nostalgic to me. :) Right now, cash only, but I kind of expected it because most bubble tea place I’ve ever been to were cash only. :) Moving back from Hong Kong 5 years ago, a city that could have 5+ bubble tea shops on one street, I was always missing my bubble tea and would have to make a trip to the city to get my bubble tea fix. I’m ecstatic that there’s now a bubble tea shop in the area!

Going here again tomorrow. I love Bubble Tea. I lived in the city and was so excited when I found a flier about this place on my windshield. Everyone needs to try Taro & Ginger Milk Teas.

Bubble tea in Middletown, NY?!? Yes please! I’ve come to this location twice now and overall I really like this place. The seating area is a bit small in the front but they usually have plenty space in the back and they offer free wifi too so you could potentially study or get some work done here if you’re so inclined. On my first visit, I ordered a coconut milk tea and honey green tea, and on my second visit, I ordered a honey black tea. The coconut milk tea was a really excellent recommendation and I’ve always had a soft spot for tea with a dash of honey. Both times were pretty good but the sweetness is somewhat inconsistent so it’s hard to know what you’ll end up getting if you start asking them for 50% or 75% sweetness. Their boba bubbles are also dense and flavorless. I remember the best part of taking one of my friends for his first bubble tea experience was his comment on how he was drinking tea«with delicious bubble clouds inside.» Haha. The bubbles here are less like clouds and more like day old gummies though. It’s really the only place of its kind in the area though, so when you need a bubble tea fix, this place hits the spot. If you’ve never tried bubble tea before, then you should definitely try it! My comments are more critical from years of multiple bubble tea options but Middletown definitely needs more businesses like this one. So enjoy!

I’ve been here twice. First time I ordered milk tea with bubbles. The tea was great but I’m not a fan of bubbles(first time ever trying so now I know not to order them.) Went back the next day and tried the coconut milk tea. Delicious!!! I order them unsweetened and add my own sweetener. Will definitely be a regular here.

High quality bubble tea, currently cash only I love Middletown more everyday, especially now that it has a bubble tea establishment. I came upon this store by chance. It’s hidden in the corner of the shopping center. The employees were very friendly and excited to have a customer. Apparently they had a soft opening a few days prior. I’ve been to this franchise before in Manhattan and I liked it. I had a large milk tea with bubbles. The tapioca bubbles are marinated in sugar so they’re very tasty. My girlfriend got an iced espresso drink which tasted amazing. The employees bragged that the espresso machine cost thousands of dollars. I think it was worth it because the iced latte was better than Starbucks. The machine grinds the beans fresh and gives it a great depth of flavor.

I was super excited when I started seeing posters for this place before it opened. I opened up just a little while ago and I went there today! It was great! Nice and clean, staff were really friendly. The menu is right on the wall and they were happy to explain the choices for me, made recommendations. I ordered the taro milk bubble tea and it was REALLY good. I also love how you can customize your drink, such as the ice amount and the sugar amount. Usually bubble tea has a lot of sugar in it, but here, I could ask for it with no sugar and then sweeten to taste. I am definitely going to come here often to sample the menu. Prices are on the high side, which was not unexpected, and is average for the cost of bubble tea where I’ve gotten it anywhere else. p. s. Cash only. They said they’re working on getting a cc machine up and running.
