History

Established in 1996.

The law firm of Hayward & Parker, Esqs. was formed in 1981. In 1986 Christopher Martens joined the firm as a partner and Michael O’Leary joined as an associate. The firm was then re-​named Hayward, Parker & Martens, Esqs. In 1991 Michael O’Leary was made a partner, and Christopher Martens left the firm to become the full-​time Middletown City Court Judge. The firm was then re-​named Hayward, Parker & O’Leary, Esqs. Guy Hayward has semi-​retired, and Richard Parker passed away in 2006. In 2009 Michael Pinsky joined the firm as a partner, and since that time Michael O’Leary and Michael Pinsky have practiced under the firm name of Hayward, Parker, O’Leary & Pinsky, Esqs.

Michael O’Leary has been practicing consumer bankruptcy law for over 30 years, and for 17 years of those years he also served as a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee. He is currently the President of the Hudson Valley Bankruptcy Bar Association, has been a lecturer at consumer bankruptcy seminars and has been an active participant in the Poughkeepsie Bankruptcy Court’s Strategic Planning Committee.
