Fair Oaks Drive In Theater

I am a former employee. This place is beyond gross! The owners are sheisters and employees that have left, due to understaffing nothing OTHER as the owners claim! There was one minor employee that left because of not being paid on the books and not being paid minimum wage. She had to have her step father come in to get her final payck. He had to threaten to call the board of labor to get her pay! If you go, think twice before eating the food. The filthy staff members have no health code ethic! Not sure if they can pull this down and I’m sure their minion will have something to say about it, but look at their lawn mower being kept in the snack bar, the condition of the box office, etc! Yes! It’s all ‘on the list’ and it’s all the former owners fault! I am very good friends with the former owner and actually worked there WITH HIM! Food was fresh, bathrooms cleaned 4 – 5 time per night, movies never crapped out and couldn’t be shown, sound was always exceptional! So! It’s on the list my rear! How about pony tails and/​or hairnets for the unkempt staff! We need to bring the old owners back! I love when people would come in looking for ron’s FRESH food and they would say ‘our food is fresh’ ! I didn’t know frozen hamburgers were fresh! And don’t kid yourselves! Plenty of people walked out of the snack bar when seeing it wasn’t Ron! The toilets loses the flusher, they run constantly because the flappers don’t go down and the staff is instructed to plunge it. That’s not how to get a flapper to go down! Last time i went as a patron, 2 toilets were clogged and one had no toilet paper! So! Eat and use the bathrooms at your own risk! And hopefully the drunks, including the security guard who does shots with patrons, aren’t urinating outside! Don’t sit in the grass!

This season 2015 Fair Oaks Drive In is under new management. It was closed in 2014 2013 was the last year of 23 years
It was open under the management of the same family. I went up to see poltergeist and mad Max. I arrived early and got a parking spot right in a good spot by the large front screen. When I went to the snack bar hotdogs and hamburgers were being cooked fresh on the grill. Things looked clean and the employee who was cooking was friendly. The cheeseburger and french fries I had were very good tasting. It was pretty crowded by Showtime and the movie started at 9:10 PM. The presentation of the movie was just fine, no problems with sound or the image on the screen. The overall experience was very nice. Grounds were clean no garbage strewn around. The grass was a little high when I was there but nothing too bad. So I’d say the experience I had was very enjoyable and I plan to go back to the Fair Oaks Drive In.

I’m a big movie theater person, so this was my very first drive in experience.
The ticket people were very nice and friendly. The price $ 8/​$ 5 was very good, especially since you ultimately get 2 movies. The sound through my car radio was very clear. We opted to bring chairs and sit out of the car — next time I will bring bug spray. This is not their fault… outside summer brings the bugs! The screen was big and we had no issues seeing.
All the above was 4 stars… the rest of my review is 1 star… this averaged me to just 2 stars!!!
THE FOOD WAS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING AND SUCH A WASTE OF MONEY!
I love and crave movie popcorn. Large popcorn layered with butter (its my guilty pleasure LOL). I asked for extra butter and to layer it, the guy said this is what we do. I watched the girl fill my bucket (no layers of butter) and then SPRAY, yep spray butter, on top. I asked if that was extra butter, she said there’s butter on it! We also got a hot dog and mozzarella sticks. First, you get your food then wait in line to pay… as your food gets nice n cold!!! I watched them make the popcorn, yet mine tasted like it was 2 days old, whatever they sprayed was not even close to movie butter and a lot of ‘crumbs’. The hot dog was pre wrapped and sitting under heat lamps — could only eat half it was so nasty. They make the mozzarella sticks to order in a fryer… I don’t think they changed the oil from before they closed 2 years ago!!! It’s was all so nasty… a waste of $ 14
When u go somewhere that says NO OUTSIDE FOOD, THAN YOU NEED TO OFFER FOOD THAT EDIBLE!!!
I may go back bc I did enjoy the drive in experience, but I will bring my own food!!!

This place is trash. I am writing this review on 07÷12÷15. The bathrooms are beyond disgusting. The concession area was filthy and disgusting. The food wasn’t worth eating. And, the Mosquitos are almost unbearable; you know it’s bad when the concession stand offers bug spray and mosquito nets!!! I will never come back here again!!! I do not recommend this place to anyone!!! Oh yeah, and the people in front of us are smoking weed during a kids movie… TRASH, TRASH, TRASH!!!
