Empire Tea and Coffee

Was lucky enough to stumble into this place on vacation. Our hotel’s restaurant was closed for remodeling, and caffeine was needed. This place was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. The tea was delicious and my boyfriend said he’d never had (and to this day, has still never had) a better espresso.
Cut back to real life: Back home, nowhere can we find such good specialty teas (i.e. not English Breakfast). But we order it online. They are super friendly and quick to reply to inquiries. I called them to ask when they might get more hibiscus tea, as the website said they were sold out. They called me the next morning saying they had updated the site now, sorry for the inconvenience. I ordered my tea at 8 am on a Saturday and had an email saying it had shipped by 9. QUALITY customer service!
My only complaint is that we bought some splendid travel mugs while we were there, and I wish they sold them on their website, too. I’d get more! So I guess my only complaint is that I can’t get enough!

This is a gem of a coffeehouse! We indulged in a local favorite — espresso, steamed milk and honey. It sounded strange but it was outrageously good. My girls loved their scones.
The service was terrific, the seating area is super clean and the coffee is amazing. Please come to NY!

YUM! Their breakfast sandwiches are awesome. They make them fresh in the back, there are ton of options to add on to your sandwich and it is delicious, fresh and the bread is AWESOME (sweeter bread). I came twice in two days and tried their coffee the second day. I liked it (not as much as other reviews) but it was good and strong and they have almond and soy milk.
