History

Established in 2012.

Mark Mele and Deven Klein are co-founders of Athena Learning Centers. Mark and Deven’s decision to go into the franchise supplemental education business was fueled by their passion for the education space and helping children learn. The program that Mark and Deven created for use in each Athena franchise center is the Athena Advantage℠. The Athena Advantage℠ encompasses an entire tool box available to students to help them succeed academically in school, prepare for high stakes exams, and give them the necessary critical thinking skills necessary for the 21st century workplace. Athena has adopted a best-in-class strategy for their in-center curriculum offerings in math, reading, writing and science as well as SAT®/ACT® test preparation. In addition, Athena offers the best researched-based early learners program, ABC Music & Me® created by Kindermusik® International.
