I rented a tuxedo for a gala in Chicago and I should have checked it before I left, the pants were not hemmed! Fortunately I had a needle & thread or I would have missed the affair. I returned it to the store the next day and I was told that it should have been hemmed(duh!) and he would tell his manager. No apology, make it right, etc. and of course no follow up from his manager! Spotty service at best. I’ll rent elsewhere.

Felt compelled to give a great review as I got incredible service here today. Went in looking for a vest, shirt and tie to match my suit and was actively helped by two employees who knocked it out of the park. Found awesome stuff and ended up with two shirts and two ties, as they were both two for one. Being that I only wear a suit on very special occasions, I need help picking stuff out. And I got it here. Thanks guys!

I can only give them one star. I stopped in shortly after they had opened and I was extremely disappointed. Since I am in the big and tall sizes, I thought I would see what they had to offer. Well I can tell you that they offer NOTHING in big and tall sizes. If you are a in the gym and have the body of a Greek god, then I guess this place would be ok, but for any one else over a waist size of 38 and a chest measurement of 48, just go elsewhere!

Based on just my most recent experience at Jos. A. Bank in Middleton, I would give them a 5-star rating; unfortunately, though, a previous less-than-stellar customer service experience I had there has left a lingering bad taste in my mouth, so a cumulative 4 stars it is. That being said: Without exception: When you go to this location, work with JONVINJE. He is kind, patient, and, most important, knows dress clothes and how they should fit. Most recently, I went in looking for a traditional navy blue suit to wear at my new job in the financial sector, and he quickly pulled two beautiful suits for me to try. Without wasting my time while he looked through all of the options hanging in the store, he went immediately to the two he knew would fit me best, and he was right: both of the suits he pulled fit my body well, even though they were different cuts. I ended up buying the first suit he pulled for me, and, other than some minor alterations I’ll have to get done, the suit fits me perfectly right out of the store. I had such a great experience working with Jon on my navy suit that I decided to look at buying an additional suit and some dress shirts while in the store. We discussed some color options that would expand my current collection, and then he pulled one suit — just one — and I ended up buying it because it’s perfect. Same thing on the shirts: he pulled one style, I tried it on, it was perfect, so I got two in that style. Because I’m moving, I’ll be getting the suits fitted by a local tailor in my new location, so can’t give feedback on how well this Jos. A. Banks does with alterations. Thanks for a great experience, Jon! More general feedback about the store: + They have lots of great sales throughout the year, so there’s no reason, really, to ever buy full price. + They have a good selection of styles and colors in all of their products: shirts, pants, suits, coats, sweaters, etc. + Convenient location in Greenway Station The fitting rooms are pretty small, and there’s only one mirror shared between the 3, so you’ll have to share the mirror with someone(s) else if other people are also trying on clothes. Be forewarned that, if you go during the«Buy One Get ___Free» sale, you may have trouble finding anything other than black or grey suits in popular sizes.

After checking the suits in my closet I found that after several years they don’t fit. I was going to be traveling soon and wanted a new suit. I stopped in at Joseph A Bank just to look and before long I met Jon and he quickly sized me and showed me a number of suits that I liked a lot. After looking at several I picked out one, he measured me for the alterations and I was done. I spent less money than I thought I was and I’m happy with m new suit. Ask for Jon Vinje for a great experience in finding your suit.

Great at taking my money, but horrible at delivering promised goods. I bought a signature gold suit on December 2nd. I was able to pick up my suit jacket on December 10th and I was measured for my suit pants adjustments that day. Fast forward 48 days later and I still do not have my suit pants. Nothing like spending $ 300+ on a suit plus adjustments while only receiving half of the suit. They have HORRIBLE customer service, after initial purchase. I can’t recommend this store.

I’ve had only good experiences here. John was particularly helpful and I worked once with a woman(can’t recall her name) who was excellent when my son was buying his first suit. The tailoring thing is weird — I was told by more than one Jos Banks employee that they have to charge for tailoring, period. No problem, considering I bought three really nice suits for $ 800 after tailoring. I do think they are sometimes understaffed, but that’s retail these days… sadly. P. S. I accidentally left a shirt I bought on the counter during one visit. John knew where I worked and dropped it off on his way home. Hence the five stars.
