Appliance Service Unlimited Of Middleton

Appliance Service Unlimited is not the kind of business I usually review, but I have had such great service, I felt like I needed to give them a shout out.
Jerry (Gerry?) from Appliance Service Unlimited came to our house three different times to help with issues we had with our dishwasher, our refrigerator, and our oven. When it rains, it pours, I guess. ;) He was a very quiet, but super knowledgeable. He explained to my husband exactly what he was doing and why. He also helped us find a cheaper part to replace the broken one in our fridge, which otherwise would have needed to be removed and sent infor repair, rendering our refrigerator unusable for a few weeks (excellent business model there, Jenn-​Air!). He also gave us some options when his original plan to fix our oven didn’t work. He never once tried to convince us we needed something expensive. He gave us excellent options and advice regarding our appliance issues.
I like that Appliance Service Unlimited gives you a window of time for the day they are scheduled, but if you call after 9:30 that day they can give you a shortened window. They also call a few minutes before they arrive to give you a heads up. Also, when I completely forgot he was coming the third visit today, Jerry was so kind as to give me a few extra minutes to clean up my mess of a kitchen. I fully trust Jerry and Appliance Service Unlimited. I would recommend them over and over to anyone in the Middleton area looking for a repair person.

Called them to check out my old dryer which wasn’t working properly to see if it could be salvaged — hoping it was just a belt issue. Explained the issue in detail to the gal I spoke with and who schedule the appointment. A young kid showed up, maybe 20, not informed of the issue, takes a look and tells me the dryer is shot, but if everything went well he could repair it for about $ 600 — um, no thanks! Then he proceeds to try and over charge me for the service call. I question what the extra charge is for and he says labor. The service call includes 10 min. of diagnostics, he was there for 8 min. Though he did remove the extra charge after I pointed this out, between that and the fact that he suggested I fix the ancient Maytag dryer at a cost of a new dryer, this is not the kind of company I will do business with in the future.

I had a thermal fuse go out in my old dryer. Upon calling them, I mentioned the problem and he knew the part number without me having to tell him. I thought that was impressive. After my work day I stopped by to get my part and it was there waiting for me.
They are knowledgeable and extremely friendly. I can bounce problems off them and get advice before committing to a solution. Definitely worth talking to them when you have a problem with any appliance.
For me, their location was super convenient (on my way home). For others, it’s easy to find and easy to access (no bad traffic issues). Check them out — you won’t be sorry.
