I have been using middlesex laundromat for almost 1 year now. I have had excellent service and a great experience with them until recently. I had dropped off clothes for their wash and fold service like I have done every week for almost a year. When I came to pick up I paid and collected my clothes. When I got home and started putting everything away I noticed some issues. 2 sweat shirts, and a fleece vest were damaged. The vest had burns on it and had shrunk tremendously. Same with one of the sweat shirts. The other sweat shirt had burn holes in it and the zipper was completely melted. I wasn’t too worried about it because I know that things happen and I expected that the owner would do the right thing. When I returned this Sunday to drop off another load of laundry, I asked to speak with the owner to get this problem resolved. He was not there but the woman working told me he would be there later when I was coming to pick up my laundry. When I returned later I spoke with the owner and showed him the damaged clothing. Keep in mind that they had washed these articles previously without any issues. The owner immediately dismissed me and said that this happens to polyester clothing and that I should not have sent it to be washed. He stated he could not and would not do anything about the damage. This pushed me over the edge. I have used them every week for almost a year spending $ 20-$ 30 a week with them. I find it completely and totally unacceptable that this is how they handle problems with their customers. I would never recommend this place to anyone based on this experience. I now have to replace these items out of my own pocket and they even charged me for the last load of laundry.
