History

Established in 2008.

After retiring from the U.S. Navy, Gary and his wife, Tracey, moved to the small farming town of Middlefield, OH. They opened the funeral home because they enjoyed meeting new people and helping families in their time of need. Since opening, they have grown significantly and have managed to build as business allowed. This has enabled them us to maintain low overhead, thus maintaining their very reasonable and service fees. We look forward to serving you and your family in the future.

Business Owner

Gary Best and his wife, Tracey, are both originally from Northeast Ohio and wanted to live in the beautiful community of Middlefield after he served twenty years and then retired from the United States Navy. Mr. Best thoroughly believes in assisting others in times of need so he became a licensed funeral director to serve the community.

Tracey and Gary have three children between them. The eldest, Brett, is self-​employed as a chef in Kent. Audrey is a Junior at Chardon High School. She participated on the Swim Team, volunteered as an assistant athletic trainer for the Football team, runs Track, and was a finalist in the 2015 MapleFest Court. The youngest, Noah, is in the 6^th grade at Chardon Middle School. He enjoys playing the Bells in Band.

During his service in the U.S. Navy, Gary served: aboard ships; USS Affray, USS Leader, USS Adroit, USS Warrior (plankowner), and USS Inchon; as a recruiter in Vermont and New Hampshire; on a battle group staff position as the Damage Control
