Great seasonal, specialty cocktail menu. Always get the garlic parm fries. Open 7 days is a plus in a town with several establishments that are close in Mondays &/​or Tuesdays. Service is typically pleasant and the food is reliably good.

The Lobby has great food. Personally I have never found the service super friendly — they weren’t rude, but I just didn’t really enjoy the atmosphere here as much as many other local restaurants.

Good spot for a group. Nice apps options — garlic Parmesan fries, pickled veg mussels & saffron risotto were excellent. Nice selection of VT beers & ciders on draft. The Wolavers pumpkin ale was $ 2 for Halloween. Nice deal! Entrees were all well done — duck burger, filet burger, paso bucco, vegetarian pizza.
We sat upstairs which was nice for a group and I’m sure outside is great in good weather as its right on the river.

My buddy and I decided to eat at this restaurant tonight. We ordered the calmari starter and burgers (quinoa for me and grass-​fed beef for him). The food was fantastic and the server (her name is Mara) was top-​notch! We will definitely come back again!

Great feel and friendly staff. I enjoyed a duck burger at the bar for dinner. The meal was simple but delicious. Beer menu seemed reasonable and wine list was pleasant.
A quiet place to enjoy some well made food and drink.

Parents came for parents weekend. This was our first time coming here. Heard good reviews from friends and thought we would give it a try. Hopped up out of bed and turned my swag on and met my parents outside. Moment we entered the restaurant that atmosphere seemed welcoming and gave the air of a restaurant akin to one you might find on 5^th ave. Service at the bar was dope and quick and was quick to load up on pumpkin shandys. Like 5 of them. Problem is I am a light weight and immediately needed food. The delicious and savory garlic fries helped me in my time of need. Don’t remember after that. Aight peace out my food lovers.

I’m sure this is a big favorite for students to take their parents here! I just so happened to be in town with my own dad and was drawn to their ½ off entrees on Wednesday night. It did NOT disappoint! The pasta portion initially looked a little small but it was SO hearty I could barely finish it. My dad also went for the octopus salad and loved it. I was luckily to come through at a time of year where we could enjoy sitting out on the deck as well which was really pleasant. Very affordable drinks as well. Not in this area often, but would definitely recommend or go back!

This place is adorable! On a miserable rainy Sunday, I strolled in as I was passing through Middlebury after a day hike. At first, I was confused where the entrance was, and the odd shape of the building in general. But then! you walk in and it is so darn cute. It was empty since it was 5PM, but there is an awesome little waiting area for more crowded nights. The space is small, but multi level, so plenty of room for tables. We were seated right by the river. SO COOL! It looks like you are literally on the river. What a great view.
We ordered the white bean quinoa burger and the tofu gnocchi. Flavors were great! The gnocchi had a deep tomato flavor, and the texture of the gnocchi was different and unique. Still dense, but a bit lighter than normal gnocchi. But the veggie burger was the star of the show. AMAZING! The flavors were fantastic. My boyfriend and I were splitting the meal, but were fighting over the last bite. SO GOOD! One of the best veggie burgers I’ve had. The fries were also very good! So crispy and thin. Yum!
We topped off our meal with dessert. We got the rasberry chocolate mousse whoopie pie. It was good, but not great.
Highly recommend coming here! Service was great! Ambiance was great! And food was great!

I can’t find the particular salad I got on the menu now, but it had chunks of really good cheddar & cranberries… whatever it was, that salad was the best I’d had in a VERY long time. And for dessert, we tried the homemade Oreos, which were especially awesome (try them!).
All in all, the food here was really amazing and I highly, highly recommend this place.
And to note, the customer service was extraordinary. Our server was super nice and we thought we just got lucky with her but even as I overheard the other servers chatting with their patrons, they were all super nice. I usually prefer not to be bothered by servers and making fake small talk, but they were really great here. Kudos to them!

Cute place right on the river. We stopped in for a drink when we were walking around town about 5pm on a Saturday. We sat at a table since it was light out and the bar was dark. Our server was really nice. I was undecided on which beer to get, so he gave me a taste of both. I love when places do that. They had a bunch of local beers and the menu looked reasonably priced. The menu looked great and I want to go back next time I’m visiting.
Seems like it was filling up before 6pm so you definitely want to get a reservation if you are going for dinner. Two couples brought their toddlers and let them up and down the stairs and were just banging around oblivious that other people were in the restaurant. I’m glad we weren’t eating there because it was pretty annoying and distracting. Next time I will sit at the bar if all I want is a drink.
