Specialties
We are a proud leader in the American Craft Brewing Revolution, and have been creating exciting, award-winning craft brews for more than 20 years. All our beer is brewed in small batches using Vermont water, our three strains of yeast and the finest hops and malts to ensure freshness and consistent quality.
History
Established in 1991.
Otter Creek Brewing originally opened in March of 1991 at 616 Exchange Street in Middlebury, Vermont, where we brewed our first batch of Copper Ale. Four years later, we expanded and moved down the road to 793 Exchange Street, where we operate today. We’ve come a long way since that short move, and with a state-of-the-art facility and 70,000-barrel capacity, we proudly distribute our handcrafted brews to 15 states in the Northeast and mid-Atlantic regions.
Meet the Manager
Mike G.
Manager
As a kid, Mike Gerhart wanted to be a cowboy or a garbage man when he grew up. Back then, lemonade was his beverage of choice. Lucky for us, his taste buds evolved. Today, after landing his first brewery job as a freshman in college, Mike has won prestigious national and international awards and has worked at several prominent breweries throughout the United States. He received his brewmaster’s degree in Germany and was by far the youngest person in his graduating class. Mike is a rising star in a state renowned for its community of world-class brewers, not cowboys.
