I went to Patricks Grille and couldn’t be happier. Everything was perfect. I loved the new look bright and cheery but classy. The food was delicious and I would go back just for the fries. They are the best I ever tasted. We were greeted and seated right away. The service was amazing. I eat out a lot and was impressed. The drinks were filled you wanted for nothing. I expect to get this service in a steak house like at the casinos. You pay for it. This place is a place I will tell everyone about. The prices were very good. They had the wine I wanted and the price was excellent. They didn’t gouge me like other places do. Thank you for the experience. Today was a great lunch!

Service was excellent. Salad and oyster«shooters» were delicious. Pasta dish and Waldorf chicken sandwich were hot and perfectly spiced. No room for dessert, although the items on the menu looked pretty amazing! We will definitely come back again.

My wife and I aren’t terribly picky, however when eating at a more upscale restaurant like this, we do expect a certain level of service and quality of food. We were not disappointed. The staff was friendly and service was excellent. We never waited for anything. I AM picky about salad and steak, and both here were exceptional; definitely better than average. I had the 16oz Strip with salad and potato. Wife had the crab cakes, and crab bisque soup. Their bread was great, great wine and beer selection also. Nice atmosphere. Will come back and would highly recommend.

After being a customer of Rodini’s, I was anxious to try out the new ownership. Wow! The interior has experienced a complete change with windows and a calm blue paint. I enjoyed the chairs and the usually larger 4 top tables. The room was not crowded, but allowed nice size spacing between tables. As to the food, we stopped by on a Sunday and had their Laid Back Sunday menu. My over 21 granddaughter and I started with the pepper bacon wrapped shrimp. Yummy. She then had the porkchops with apricot sauce and I had the BBQ3 meat(beef, pork, veal) loaf with homemade mac and cheese along with baked beans. We finished off the meal with pumpkin cheese cake that had slivers of cream cheese showing. Dessert also came with a shot of pumpkin liquor. The owner Patrick made it a point to visit each table and to speak with all of his patrons. This was a great dining experience and looking forward to going on a Saturday night to try the prime rib.

I love Patrick’s. The atmosphere is fabulous and so pristine. It is my new favorite place. My favorite meal is panko encrusted perch. In fact I have been there weekly since it opened, and I haven’t ordered anything else. My companions loved their ribs, their beef, and their scallops. Patrick, the owner, always stops and talks to each table.

I enjoyed Patrick’s immensely. I’ve visited a few times now. My favorites are the steak options, they have excellent soups as well. On Sundays they feature BBQ and the prime rib egg rolls are a must try. Friday’s also offer more seafood options, and it’s fresh. Our server has usually been Heather and she’s excellent. I and whoever I’m with are always well cared for though, even on the times we haven’t gotten Heather. The owner is always circling the dining room and seems to really enjoy greeting costumers. Not sure why someone would mention they needed to be dressed well to be ‘graced’ by the owner… most people dress casually and we’ve never had this problem. They’re still new, so the second or third time we went they had some timing issues with our food, but I haven’t had the problem since. I usually get quick and kind service and quality food. the menu is smaller, but there really is something there for everyone. The atmosphere is fun. I really enjoy the city themed décor. The back wall even features a back lit skyline. It’s got a lot of interesting city themed artwork to look at. This place is great. I will continue to visit often. Props to the owner. I imagine Patrick’s will be open and thriving for a long time. To those of you who need to be rude about their reviews, I recommend people really go and see for themselves. It’s worth the trip.

I really do not understand where these other reviewers are coming from. I just got home from having dinner at Patrick’s with my fiancée. I called at 5:00 p.m. and was able to get a 7:30 p.m. reservation. We arrived right at 7:30 and we were greeted by a kind hostess. We were promptly seated and our waitress, Jackie, took our drink and appetizer order. Our saganaki was great and the French bread it came with was fresh out of the oven. My fiancée ordered the filet and it came exactly as she ordered it — medium rare. My perch came out perfectly as well. Jackie was very attentive between courses and was constantly communicating with us on the progress our entrees. All together we had three craft beers, an appetizer, a filet mignon, and a lake perch(entrees came with soup or salad and sides) for $ 60. I do not know where you could possibly receive this value and quality anywhere else in northwest Indiana. My advice: try Patrick’s for yourself and see what you’ve been missing.

Came here with my fiancé last night for a date night. I was very excited for this restaurant to open and had been looking forward to trying it because my family had such deep roots with Rodinis. The experience was bad from the get go. Very slow service, cold food, even the salad was bad. Wet lettuce means that the dressing won’t stick, guys! Overall, I was EXTREMELY disappointed. For the prices on the menu and the attire of people dining here, it should have been a great experience. Instead I am left disappointed and will definitely never return.

The failed on nearly every aspect of the dining experience. Positives: 1. The bread and baked potato were good 2. While slow and forgetful, the waitress was pleasant and kind. Negatives: 1.The salad was very gross, not sure how you can make green lettuce taste bad, but they did. Ranch dressing was water thin with a very heavy dill taste. 2. I asked for the strip steak medium well, and got it somewhere between rare and medium rare. I politely told the waitress and she brought it back to the kitchen, it returned 10 mins later with a reddish pink center and the outside completely charred to a crisp. The steak knife they brought me wouldn’t cut the butter, so I used my pocket knife to trim off the char and cut my steak. 3. The green beans were totally uncooked and tasted like you just picked them and ate them. 4. Both of us were served cold plates, which then means cold food. 5. Sat with empty glasses for most of the meal, and the waitress kept forgetting basic things like butter, more bread and A1 sauce. 6. Owner came by and introduced himself and said he would check back later to be sure we enjoyed our meal, then never did, and instead stood and talked with 2 patrons at the bar for 30 mins straight, laughing, joking and using profanity the whole time. I don’t personally mind a dirty joke or foul language but it seems really unprofessional. 7. The décor looks nice at first, until you look close. Formica table tops feel like you are eating at the Waffle House, and no coasters leave a wet tabletop. All of this for a skirt steak that ended up charred to oblivion and a $ 30 price tag seems ridiculous. The waitress offered us complimentary dessert due to the obviously poor performance, we declined, and then she brought us a check with no discount and no manager or owner stopped by to say anything. We were very excited to try this new and upscale place, especially after the love we had for Rodinis, we were heavily disappointed and so are the 3 other couples we know who were eager to try this place. We won’t be back, and also won’t be shocked when they close.

Arrived at 7:00. It’s a Thursday night and their parking lot was full. We were worried we would not get seated. We did get seated right away. Very modern décor with a Chicago feel. There are booths and tables in a large room with a bar along one section of the wall. This was not what we expected for a «Grill». We were in jeans and my husband got the«once over» from maître d’. He had jeans and a T-shirt from a Michigan marina town. The wait staff was pleasant and was quick to offer extra vegetables when I declined the carbs. We did not order mixed drinks. Most of the guests from our view had mixed drinks. The room was filled with chatter and laughter. People were enjoying themselves. We had their bruschetta. It arrived nicely displayed with four slices of a French type bread with the bruschetta on top. The bread was crunchy but not hard. It was not soggy like others. The onion was slightly strong which almost overpowered the tomato and cheese mixture. I would order it again though. I was kind of surprised that the salad had more iceberg lettuce then greens. I expected to receive a salad with all greens from price of the meal. The cucumbers were not pealed. Big pet peeve of mine. I had the scallops and my husband had he beef tips. The scallops were very good. I really enjoyed them. They were seared and very tasty. I would have liked the sauce that was served with the scallops a little more thicker. I would definitely order these again. We eat out 5 — 6 times a week. However, because of the limited menu it may be only once every 2 months. As we ate a mud pie dessert, a gentleman who appeared to be the owner stopped a visited several tables. He passed us by. There was also an interesting person who looked inebriated and was visiting tables. Could this be an «up scale» Cheers? We were treated very nicely by our wait staff. But overall this was not a comfortable dining experience. Maybe next time we will come in our BMW directly from the office. Perhaps the natives will be more friendly and the owner may grace
