History
Established in 1923.
In 1923 Woodward «Woody» Foster started Foster Printing Service as a one man shop with a small paper cutter and a one color Kluge letterpress. In the following two years, business grew and John Griswold was hired to assist. As business grew, Mr. Foster needed more equipment, more staff and more space and Foster moved to 2142 Franklin Street and purchased a variety of new machinery. In 1956, John Griswold purchased the company and kept the name Foster Printing Service. Foster quickly outgrew the Franklin Street location and moved to 717 Sheridan Ave. In 1973, one of Foster’s biggest customers moved to Chicago. This began the expansion of the sales force and movement from local to national work. In 1980, Foster became a corporation and Nick Griswold was named the President. In 1984, Foster moved into the current location at 4295 Ohio Street. Foster heads into the future with a bright outlook and an experienced and knowledgeable team that can serve customers better than ever before.
