Established in 1989.

Comfort 1 Heating & Air Conditioning, a Michigan corporation, was incorporated April 1, 1990, by its president, Michael Kyser. Over the years Comfort 1 has grown to become one of the most highly recommended and qualified mechanical contractors in southeast Michigan.

We take pride in the ability to provide services through an experienced and qualified staff. Comfort 1’s range of heating and air conditioning service and expertise includes; geothermal, residential and commercial renovation along with new construction projects, large and small.

Comfort 1 helped me with a difficult job two years ago in Adrian. It required extensive sheet metal and ducting work in an old duplex. I got 7+ estimates and the others either had a pricing, attitude, or brand (didn’t like brand) problem.
Comfort One was the second lowest price bid and had Lennox Brand. They were number one in perceived attitude and considered the difficult work a challenge rather than a hindrance. I can see five feet past my billfold and in this case the lowest bid was NOT the best deal.
Long story short… the install went well and I have since tweaked performance even better by balancing between the two apartments using the dampers that Comfort One suggested. The equipment is performing well and the sizing was right on based on Comfort 1’s recommendation.
By me paying the heat in both units with one furnace (versus the old two), I make $ 150 more a month than if I had to rent at the heat NOT included rate. ($ 75 less per unit)
This new furnace is 26 months old and just paid for itself this month. I got a free furnace!!!
I do recommend dual stage 94% + efficiency or higher. The upfront cost throws some people off… but you will recoup the money later… and then its the gift that keeps on giving.
