I debated whether to write this review and what to rate it. First off, THISISNOTYOURSTANDARDNURSERY. I think you have to get that into your head first and foremost. This is a hobby nursery. They are only open 1 – 5 on Sundays. You have to drive out into the middle of nowhere, and they are hard to find. PLEASE, PLEASE read the directions on their website before you head out there. I had read them but forgot, and we went over some serious rough roads, had 4×4’s racing by us, and got lost(just as they said we would). Then, I finally tried the lost art of reading an old fashioned map.(It’s harder than you think when you use your phone directions all of the time). You might call or e-mail too before you come with this being more of a hobby farm. They are expensive and selective. They only have a small variety of rare plants. Their plant listing is online with prices. Apparently, we went the wrong time of the year(April) as his inventory was small. He was just getting ready to divide up the plants and propagate. I think the coolest thing was he had many of the plants in the wild around the property so you could get a better idea on what they would look like. We bought some lobster claw heliconia, shell ginger, and red firespike. They were expensive, but hopefully worth it in expanding the variety of our garden. Again, the place is somewhat dilapidated, but the guy overall was informative and helpful. I am glad I had the experience.
