Xcessive Engines

Here I am again., 1 year after 1^st review. Hoped I could write a positive follow-​up review, but I can’t. I was hoping the effort would be made, so I would post on here that everything is good. «Happy customer». This company has actually re-​enforced the bad comments, in my first review. They talk a good game, but don’t back it up. The only reason there is 1 star, is they don’t have any lower.
I was finally contacted, by Rick Oct 1 2014, after writing the first review and almost 4 months, since I received the motor. (See response to my original review). He said he would pay for shipping the motor back and take care of everything. I then talked to him in Nov 2014 and was told he would have shipping arrangements made, so I could ship it, no later than Dec 5 2014. I did not receive the Shipping Bill of Lading until Jun 5 2015. Motor had been sitting, packed and ready to ship, since I found out it was bad, in July 2014.
Once I got The BOL on Jun 19 2015, I took the motor and shipped promptly, as I was leaving to go out of town. On the phone, before I sent the motor, I was told by him that it would be a 2 week turn-​around, including shipping time. 2 days shipping, 5 days to repair and 2 days shipping back.
Most places, if you have a bad experience or can’t get a satisfactory resolution, they offer to refund your money or anything to make sure your experience is pleasant, so you will have good comments and recommend them to other people.
It is now 2 months after motor was shipped back and still no contact, no refund and no motor.
I have now been dealing this issue and been out almost 1800.00 for 14 months, when all I wanted was a good boat motor to replace a bad one. 2 boating seasons gone and still no boat. What should have been an easy and painless deal, has turned into a nightmare. I have never had these kinds of issues, with any company I have dealt with. Never gone this long without resolution. Just when I think it is going to be resolved, it drags even longer.
I cannot believe that this company does all the business it says on the website or even why it is still in business. Can’t even get in contact with them. Nothing can prove to me that they even try to live up to the «100% customer satisfaction» claim on their site. So far, it hasn’t even reached 0%. After, 30 years in the military, INTEGRITY and HONESTY, are big issues with me, so that gets 0%, also.
I have been contacted by numerous people, asking if this issue had been resolved and should they buy from Xcessive. Guess what my answer was?
Will follow-​up if anything changes, but don’t know when or if that will happen.

I found this company back in March, and they have been very patient with me and my 1000 text to the owner in regards to what parts are in the engine and what’s the best oil, and my experience has been amazing I placed the order with confidence and been updated the entire time through out the proces and my engine was packaged up and ready to be shipped if it hasn’t already. Excited to hit the water this up coming week!!!

bought a re-​man engine that arrived a week later than expected, and developed a head leak within 20 hours of use. Took video and contacted Rick the owner on september 23^rd. He said it would be covered by warranty and ship a new one that week. As of November 13^th I have received nothing and numerous phone calls go unanswered
