Getting a wax is very uncomfortable as is. I mean a complete stranger is all up in you. Laura was very personable and made the experience as tolerable as one can :). I will definitely be back and will recommend her to family and friends. The cost was magnificent. And the work was thorough. The location is near my house. Parking was a little confusing but as she only does appointment only the 2 parking spaces should not be an issue. The waxing room was small and intimate. I moved to Miami a year ago, and I was so scared of trying any new place to do my bikini wax. So first a groupon from this place comes out and i said «well… Let’s give it a try!» And Im SO glad i did. Betty is amazing. She knows perfectly what she’s doing! Plus she is super friendly and always talking through the session. You should try this place if you haven’t. Dont expect a fancy place… It is a cool and chill room, and prices are quite ok. Nothing crazy like the other places i called before coming here.

After 3 years of long searching, I have found my eyebrow soulmate. Betty just waxed my brows and they look amazing. The arches are perfect. My brows look clean, done but in a natural and lovely way. My brows are difficult to wax naturally uneven and the hair grows in different directions. Betty made them appear as is they are symmetrical in their own. I’m so happy.
Bonus, a brow and upper lip wax was $ 21. I’m not sure if I got a discount for my first time, either way great price.

Thank you Unilocal !!! I am a nut case about my eyesbrows. I am so afraid of going to someone new. I was tired of driving to Miami Beach so I went on Unilocal to find someone closer to Midtown. Wax and Tan popped up. I have literally driven past this small location 300,000. I was a little hesitant but 4.5 and 43 Unilocal reviewes I had to try it out. WOW Betty was amazing I am really glad I found this place. I will be defintely going back here from now on.

Laura was awesome for a wax. She was attentive but fast, and I was out within 10 minutes! Prices are super affordable at $ 22 for full bikini, and best of all she has a returning customer reward card for 30% off eighth service with purchase of 7 services. I’ve tried a different wax place here that was similarly affordable and used hard wax too but the loyalty card and good service will definitely keep me coming back to Wax & Tan.

I used to go to another wax salon for my Brazilian waxes but I initially found this place through Groupon. Laura (the lady that does my waxes) is so good that even though my Groupon expired a long time ago I still go to Wax and Tan! It’s further away from my house than the place I used to go to but that’s fine with me. I’d recommend Wax and Tan to anyone cuz they’re clean, nice, fast and the results DO last. Also she doesn’t double dip and the wax doesn’t make my skin break out.

Laura is hands down the best waxer I have ever let near my lady bits. Quick, friendly, schedule-​accommodating, and I don’t how she does it but I swear it doesn’t hurt that much when she rips those suckers out. Great for brows and spray tans, too!

I just signed up on Unilocal to write this review, that’s how happy I am with this place. I just had my second Brazilian wax with Laura. Before coming to her, I’d had one done last summer at a salon in South Beach, expensive and very nice looking place, but the experience left me traumatized. Never again.
Nothing resembling that at Wax & Tan. I’m not saying the experience is painless (that’s impossible unless you are anesthetized) but it’s just so quick and so worth it. Plus Laura is really pleasant and calms you down. No ingrown hairs, no burning feeling on your skin or pain afterwards, the redness has lasted only a couple hours or less this time around. Baby-​smooth skin.
Wax&Tan is not glamorous SoBe style, but it’s clean, prices are great, and most importantly, you are in good hands with these girls (I hear the other girl is really talented too). You will be in and out in no time and satisfied with your experience.

Review for Brazilian (full front and back) wax. Visted Miami from Boston. Found this place on Unilocal and it was very close to where I was staying. Based on reviews I wasn’t expecting a large space. Quite small and I waited in the outside hallway type area just to stay cool. Needless to say the actual wax experience was amazing! No strips. No double dipping. Laura was amazing and didn’t talk my ear off like my waxer here in Boston (I prefer to remain quiet during the experience). I’ve never found the experience painful. Now I don’t know if it’s cheaper down south but the price I paid was a fraction of the $ 70+ I pay in Boston for the same treatment! When I came back to Boston I kept thinking about Wax and Tan and even considered planning a trip just for a wax… obviously a bit dramatic but I will be vacationing again next week and my first stop will be to see Laura at Wax and Tan.
Only con I have is normally my waxer will clean my lower abs during the wax but I figure that’s just out of courtesy and shouldn’t be expected from everyone.
Overall…amazing! I’d be curious to see how their other services compare.

I would recommend this place, the ladies (Laura and Betty) are professional and its affordable.
First time, I had a full brazilian done with Laura, she is very detailed and I saw no growth until the end of the 3^rd week. I will defitnately continue to ask for her. Second time was with Betty, she is fast and very professional. Since i’m so picky and had very little growth back after the first time, I will continue to go with Laura as long as she is available. AND yes its very painful the first time regardless of who does it.

I don’t do reviews, but I have to let everyone know that I received the BEST wax I have EVER had at Wax & Tan on 3÷15÷13. I was in Miami visiting and didn’t have time to do my usual sugaring session before my trip so I decided to do a little research and found this place. I’m from Alabama so I’ve learned that looks can be deceiving when it comes to many establishments so the location (not your usual SoBe spa) didn’t really concern me. The Brazilian was almost painless and what little pain I did experience was quickly relieved by my technician Laura. And I just couldn’t bet the price (I usually pay $ 65 so anything less than $ 50 is great!) I will definitely be returning here for all of my future waxing needs while in Miami!

I started waxing because my friends were horrified that I was (gasp!) still shaving. I found Laura at a brazilian wax place across the street from my house. Being the unfaithful client that i tend to be, I went back and saw Betty. I liked them both so much I thought, hey I could go to anyone here and it will be great. And then it happened. I had the most uncomfortable wax experience EVER with some girl I will not name and didn’t go back. Luckily Laura found me and told me she was now at Wax and Tan, which was also near my home and it’s been the best relationship of my life. Let’s face it, when you are searching for a place/​person to spread your legs for and let them rip hair from your just-​say-​no parts it helps to find a cozy, comfortable place with friendly and cool people running it. I’ll never stray again.

Let me explain… I give 5 stars not for a location and ambience, but for pure talent. I followed Betty from Brazilian Wax place to her own Wax&Tan business for one reason only — she has a «light» hand. She is calm, which keeps me calm. I trust her and thats why I take a long drive to come to this place and nowhere else.
After being traumatized by horrific and painful bikini wax experiences in numerous places, I did not go to waxing salons for years. Betty got me back into waxing, by doing it the right way.
When your hairs are being ripped off your bikini area, you do not give a damn about crystal chandlers, water fountains and other spa-​like features! I care about minimum discomfort, insanely quick service (normally I would spend twice as much time) and superrrrr low prices.
This is a small business, be supportive and do not freak out because of cash only request. See the big picture — you are paying less than anywhere else, and you have a pro working your very delicate areas.

Love this place! The prices are reasonable and the service is always great. Laura always gets my eyebrow arch just right. It’s a small cozy shop, that takes care of all your waxing needs!
It definitely gets my seal of approval, they’re usually always busy so make sure you call for an appointment before you go!

This was my first wax experience and I was doing it big by getting a Brazilian wax. As I climbed on the table, sweating from the thought of hot wax on my lady parts, I was quickly calmed by Laura’s friendliness. The process was painless and quick. I can’t compare this experience to any other, but if waxing is this easy I’m hooked!
Ladies, if you are looking for a great place to get your lady parts waxed and have a great experience while doing it, going to this place is a must!
