Viceroy Miami

So this hotel is beautiful but I will give some bg info. I went (I am 24 years old) and it seemed a bit business-​y. This was only my second time in Miami and I am not a pro at hotels here so this review is meant for someone who has no clue about Miami! The staff and people are awesome. The lobby is incredibly small and underwhelming. The fun activities are on the 15^th floor but it wasn’t as lively as I thought it would be. The pool is of course stunning! It’s the Best part about the hotel, but in my opinion I wouldn’t stay again if you’re trying to have a party atmosphere. It seemed very business like. I stayed in a suite and the suite was also very nice. Big room, huge bathroom. Even had a tub! But i Would definitely stay in south beach next time as there is more to do there and it’s more happening.

I spoke with Diane at guest services and she hung up on me not once but twice! The second time occurred when I asked to speak to her manager. I am extremely disappointed with this hotel so far and I have even yet to stay there. At this point, I would recommend everyone to not stay here. It has low ratings on Unilocal for a reason it appears.

Enjoyed our stay there, the rooms were really nice and classy. My fiancé and I really enjoyed our stay there to celebrate my birthday and our anniversary. Prior to the trip (1 – 2 months) my fiancé sent an email to them requesting for a higher level room and more quiet side of the hotel as we are both light sleepers, also mentioned we were there to celebrate our anniversary. Never received a response from anyone.
On our last day there, I was packing and when I was cleaning things off of our bed I saw a little cockroach on it… I thought to myself at that time «did this cockroach craw on me and my fiancé last night?». I totally understand though, tropical weather.
I would stay there again for sure but I just hope next time the staff will be more attentive to our needs and if something is not available we could be notified instead of having to call or go downstairs to follow up everyday and maybe get a reply when we email them.

I booked 1 night with Hotel Tonight and this hotel is absolutely breath taking and everything went smoothly. From the valet to the check-​in and check out. The service was great. I upgraded to the King deluxe as i wanted a room with a bath tub and it was prefect. The rooms are large in size, bed is comfy and the view is breath taking. The bathroom are huge. The décor is very upscale. Room service was quick and front desk/​guest relations answered promptly and all request were granted efficiently. I def will return!

Very nice hotel. Fabulous pool. Not the place to stay if you want an evening on South Beach. Too far but otherwise great hotel and nice staff.

3 stars for services– Facility is great.
The Good:
–Great location, very secure,
–Pool, Gym, and facilities
–4 restaurants in site
–Apartments are cozy and Modern.
THE BAD:
–Delivery room has bad hours, especially in weekends, they dont accept/​keep deliveries at the Lobby.
–Internet can be an issue if you are above the 35^th floor.
–Valet is terrible

YAS!!! Miami, I have a new fav spot to stay when I come into town.
I am used to getting smashed inside a small room when I am in Miami but the Viceroy leaves room to lounge. Tons of space in my King room.
My #1 love — the bathrooms. Oh my word. The tub I had in my room was magnificent. I spent a total of 4 hours in that tub in my 48 hours I was there and it was divine. There was a double sink, a separate stand in shower and a toilet closet. It was all open into the bedroom so the closet was nice. I actually enjoyed the opening feel too — loved the natural light flowing into the bathroom.
The bed was beyond comfortable, to the point that it was dangerous because I hit the snooze button about 50 times each morning.
Not in love with the Valet team here (not the most communicative) but front desk was welcoming.
Miami, you have given me a hotel I can look forward to booking on my MIA travels, thank you!

Came here for a girls day with three of my lady friends during spa month and I must say we definitely felt spoiled. The journey to the spa begins on the 15^th Floor, where you’re immediately presented by their Olympic-​style swimming pool. The décor is whimsical — it gave me an Alice in Wonderland vibe — with giant chess pieces and animal silhouettes on their light fixtures. You’re surrounded by wonderful views of the water and other high-​rise buildings. Getting to the actual spa is a bit of a challenge — I would recommend that there be more directional signage — but you can’t be THAT annoyed when the walk there is surrounded by a mix of natural and urban elements.
Once you figure out how to make your way to the spa — you have to walk alllll the way to the back of the pool area and make a left, then take an elevator… then walk through some hallways — you are greeted by the most magical co-​ed waiting room affectionately referred to as The Floating Library. Cold plunge pools and warm jacuzzis fill the waiting room, with floor-​to-​ceiling bookshelves and windows that overlook the city. In the center of the room hangs the funkiest neon-​colored chandelier, giving the space a sophisticated yet fun vibe. You can hang out there as long as you’d like, or take advantage of the steam and sauna rooms located in the women’s locker room.
The massage itself was great. The massage rooms were a bit small in my opinion but I suppose that’s not such a bad thing since your eyes will be closed the whole time. I had the tropical massage. I had the option of choosing the scent I wanted for the experience — I opted for coconut — and one of my favorite parts was that the massage lotion was warmed up.
Overall great experience. my girlfriends and I had a wonderful time. Only additional feedback I would provide would be to offer complimentary champagne or mimosas in the waiting area aka The Floating Library. There was a bar there, but no one was manning it and no one from their staff ever offered us a comp drink.

Came here for a getaway with my boyfriend and we had a wonderful experience. The pool is so nice! You just want to stay there all day soaking up the sun and swimming.
The front desk were friendly and very accommodating. We got to the hotel earlier then expected and they gave us the key to head over to the pool, spa, and restaurant. The check-​in was after 4pm but they called us while we toured the hotel to tell us our room was ready and were able to check in at 2pm.
The room and interior design was so nice! The beds were amazing… we didn’t want to get out. Eventually we did and headed over to 15^th and Vine restaurant for breakfast. The service and breakfast was great.
The spa room was beautiful! I did the muscle release spa treatment and it was enjoyable. Came out feeling relaxed. Definitely recommend it!

The hotel is nice, awesome location too. I really liked the room where we stayed. It was very roomy, nicely decorated and it had a huge bathroom. They also have an amazing pool, which was being remodeled but still useful and nonetheless beautiful.
I was, however, very disappointed with the customer service. The guys at the front desk, the pool, valet service where all rude to us all the time. We stayed for 4 nights and even the room service staff acted like they hated their jobs. I’d rather stay at another hotel that looks less «trendy» and be treated with more quality than have to spend another night here. We didn’t go to another hotel because I came with both of my children and it would have been too much work, but we will never be back here. Generously giving you 3 stars.

Based on a two-​night stay one weekend in April.
My room was enormous, yet fairly dark and cavernous, felt a bit like a dungeon. Cool and creepy encompassed in one experience.
I spent more time than I should have trying to figure out how to turn on one of the two lamps with a giant lion for its base. Definitely patted the lion’s head, tail, etc a few times to make sure I wasn’t missing anything.
Location is decent, there’s a riverside with a path to run along, and great Whole Foods nearby, lovely restaurants near the water, and various other spots I didn’t get a chance to try.
The lobby is really small, which was surprising. I was expecting a much more grand, spacious lobby area. It makes quite a difference, especially during peak foot traffic hours. When we checked in on Friday afternoon, it was super crowded and difficult to get the attention of someone at the desk.
The most important negative experience I had here is related to getting a cab early in the morning to catch a flight. I talked to someone at the front desk the day before leaving, and he very confidently told me to just to call down 5 minutes before going downstairs in the morning and they’d have a cab for me. When I called down in the morning, I spoke to a woman, who said no problem. I get down, no cab. Took several more minutes for the cab to be hailed, then the bridge went up, and I was 20 minutes later arriving to the airport than I planned for.
I don’t care so much about small amenities but a cab in the morning is pretty simple and important when staying at a hotel.
They also charged me for a minibar item, which I did not use, and later refunded me.
The best part of the stay was the rooftop, which was absolutely gorgeous for a reception, complete with a pool and with an amazing view of the city.

I had a great stay at the Viceroy Miami last weekend. I wanted a quick weekend getaway and the Viceroy was the perfect destination. They were running a special for Florida residents so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to escape from Tampa for the weekend.
From the moment I walked in, Pedro greeted me with a smile and checked me into my junior suite. I felt like I was on vacation from the moment I stepped through the doors.
The room was immaculate. The junior suite comes with a terrace, seating area and a large bathroom with two sinks, a soaking tub and floor to ceiling windows. The views were stunning, we could see downtown, Brickell ave, the Miami river and Biscayne bay. I love the design of the room. Exactly what you would expect of a high class Miami hotel, but in the middle of downtown.
You could literally spend your whole weekend in the building. There’s a restaurant, a nightclub, and a spa all without leaving the building. The pool area is incredible. The best pool in Miami outside of South Beach. This is the perfect place to lay out and enjoy a beautiful day.
The staff really helped to make my short trip an unforgettable one. From check-​in to check-​out, I felt like I was at home. I was greeted by my name each time I had a question or request. It may sound small, but it means a lot to me for people to care enough to pronounce my name correctly but they got it right every time.
My only negative comment is the price of Valet. $ 36/​night is steep but there are no other options near by that will allow in and out privileges. It’s just one of those things you have to accept since you’re in Miami, a city where parking is at a premium.

Beautiful hotel with great amenities. The balcony view was incredible of downtown Miami. I would recommend this hotel to out of town guests or anyone looking to spend the weekend in a swanky hotel.

I stayed a couple of weeks ago at the hotel and it is always a pleasure to come back as everyone is always very attentive. But we didn’t have such luck with the dining on the 15^th floor, food was great and so was the ambiance but the service was lacking and it was not even full. Would we go back yes cause we love the hotel and the area.

Just checked out from my weekend getaway at the Viceroy and there are no words to describe on how great was my stay! From the greeting when we arrived to checkout this morning. The girl at check in was very sweet and welcoming. We had a complimentary cheese platter and a personalized card welcoming us to the hotel. The attention of the staff was great. The weekend was just simply amazing! Everything is near by and walking distance. I do look forward to staying with the Viceroy very soon once again!

Came to Miami for a girls weekend and this hotel was perfect. Amazingly spacious room! Great décor. Quiet. The restaurant in the hotel was awesome– shrimp tacos specifically. Staff was friendly. Nicely located more in the business district, but easily able to navigate throughout the city. Great pool area! Overlooks city– SUPER long pool which avoids crowds. Would love to come back here.

My wife and I enjoyed a lovely weekend getaway at the Viceroy.
We booked the deal through TravelZoo, and since it seemed so fancy, I thought we would get some kind of «second class citizen» treatment. I was so stupid.
The Viceroy was PHENOMENAL!!!
It is certainly a luxurious hotel with amazing amenities, and world class service.
From the moment we pulled up to the hotel, everyone from the Valet’s on through the room service staff was professional, courteous, and very friendly.
We stayed on the 14^th floor with a city view (which was a beautiful vista of Brickell Ave). Note, this is a condo/​hotel, with permanent residents on floors 16 through 57. The hotel does a great job of avoiding the co-​mingling of hotel residents and condo residents (which the exception of the pool — which I will get to in a minute).
The Viceroy’s check in time, per the reservation is stated as 4pm. We arrived at the hotel at 12pm hoping we would be able to get a room at that time. The gentleman at the counter, Jorge, was very accommodating and was able to get a room for us. The check-​in process took all of 5 minutes, which after being up for close to 9hrs (at noon) was very much appreciated.
We decided to have lunch at the restaurant on the 15^th floor (15^th & Vine). The scenery was very nice, as we had undisturbed views of Biscayne bay, the food, however, was a different story. We each had a sandwich with a soda, and the grand total was $ 73.00 (tip included). A little much, so we decided not to eat there again the rest of our stay.
The room: Our room was tastefully decorated, in a classic Asian yet somehow contemporary motif. We watched some TV, which had an abundance of channels. Also in the room was a Bose Mini-​sound Dock, which when paired to the Pandora app on my iPhone set the tone as we got dressed for our nights out on the town. That’s a really nice touch Viceroy people!
The bedding was super super plush!!! Goose down pillows and super amazing comforters made for some great morning cuddling (among other things ;-/​)

The pool.
Hands down the coolest pool I have ever been to! Upon entering the pool deck, you are immediately awestruck by the infinity pool and how it seems to just fall off. It really is amazing. There are actually three separate pools, the largest pool ranges from 3.6 to 4.6 feet deep, the middle pool is actually a hot tub, that had about the same depth range, and is the perfect place to hop in once the main pool is covered in the shade. The third pool is more of a visual piece that is about 1ft deep.
The Viceroy also has tons of wait staff around the pool area to bring you some really cool drinks! The staff was friendly, attentive, and very very funny.
The coup de grâce? The frozen grapes on skewers that the staff distributes to everyone around the pool. A truly great touch to help you cool down in the hot Miami sun.
Viceroy, we will certainly be back.

This was a beautiful hotel in downtown Miami near the cruise port. The hotel is trendy. Our room was clean and quiet, which was great since we were just sleeping over before our cruise.

I’m giving the Viceroy a 5 just on service alone. From the Valet staff when you first get there to the people at the front desk. When you’re checking in they make you feel like you are the only guest that matters at that point and time. I was really impressed with their over all service.
The room and the view were amazing, it was a lot more then I expected. The dark green marble floors and the modern Art Deco furniture were well put together. I’m not sure if their rooms are sound proof, but it sure felt like it was even though the hotel was booked to capacity. It was very quiet on our floor.
The pool was overwhelming, the view was incredible. Besides the fact that it’s the largest pool in the country and 300 feet long, I did take the challenge of swimming the entire thing. When you get to the end of the pool it’s breathtaking! Feels like you are on a cruise ship and looking out…
The hot tub, or should I say «kiddie pool» (which is what I thought it was at first!) was HUGE. You can literally probably fit 80 people in there! It was really relaxing.
The only complaints I have would be that the pool area closes at 8:30, I wish it would stay open a little later.

Service was top notch. Spa crew was absolutely amazing. They really treated me as VIP. From the front desk to valet. No one expected tip but I gave out some for excellent service.
Room was not my style but came with everything I could need.
Pool area had amazing views
My only problem was the club on the 50^th floor. Good club but dj sucked and I got charged $ 34 for two drinks. At least we got line bypass and no cover.
