Employees have bad attitude. Line is usually long and moves slow. Don’t enjoy coming here. Phone number always busy.

Very rude, poor service, bad attitude, especially from one lady who was giving hard time to all customers, refusing to help with certified mail… we were 4 people asking her the same questions… she refused to help and kept pointing at the instructions at the wall… and treating customers like retards basically… totally unprofessional and unacceptable.

The absolute worst US Post Office I’ve ever been to. The staff here acts as if I owe them something. The atmosphere and service at USPS is part of the reason why they’re struggling so hard; it’s not because people don’t want to mail things.

This US Postal Office is the worst station in Miami, FL. They have lost countless mail sent to me. I don’t understand why management and the employees have been fired. This entire location needs to be revamp from the top to bottom. They have the terrible attitudes and lack any consumer service skills. I got a P.O. Box thinking that would help secure my mail. NOT! I still never got my mail. I had bills sent to a different zip code address/​Postal Office and got every piece. Something has to be done about this office. It is a shame these people can continue to have a job when there are others that would so happily appreciate an opportunity to properly service others and to have a job. THIS LOCATION IS A MESS AND ESPECIALLY MANANGEMENT NEEDS TO BE FIRED!!!

I had to ship out a package and I didn’t believe that a post office could be so bad. There aren’t any pens in this post office so I asked the supervisor to borrow one, she said I could as long as I used it in front of her. As I was filling out my form, a man asked if he could use the pen after and the woman yelled at me, «I need my pen! nobody returns pens here»
The staff here couldn’t be any ruder. Although I believe it was one bad attitude that effected the others, they have no excuse to be treating customers the way they do. Some customers here can be just as rude, I witnessed an old man yelling at a lady for not responding to him as she was taking a phone call.
Horrible place to be, but at least I know what hell will be like!

Worst post office in Florida! The employees are very rude and do not believe in any sort of customer service. They don’t bother assisting you and treat you like dirt. Someone needs to seriously fire every single employee that works there.

I do have to agree that service here is pretty bad. But I really think it’s one of the workers there that really contributes to it. She gets all mad at you if you ask to use their stapler for a passport renewal application, telling you that everything has to be completed before stepping up to the counter. It’s just one staple, don’t need to be all nasty about it.
I felt all rushed through the encounter, and turned in a manilla envelope that wasn’t completely sealed with tape. I was so scared of that lady to ask for anything again, but I couldn’t help but come back inside b/​c I was so uncomfortable just sending my mail in that state as it contained my SSN and passport. Well another guy at the counter who was in charge of pick-​ups was super nice and told me that he would take care of it. He found my envelope and placed tape on it to secure it. Seriously it was NIGHT and DAY between these two workers. I wanted to give 1 star to this hell-​hole but the other worker made it a 2 star for me.
I really think that USPS workers need some training on customer service, b/​c clearly only the ones who innately have it w/​in them express it.

Service here completely utterly horrible! Staff is beyond rude, unfriendly, and completely inefficient! What happened to real customer service in the United States Postal Service? I honestly hate when I have to come here

Blah. Poor slow non consumer centric service. One occasion they locked me out 5 minutes before closing. #notmyjob attitude.

It has all the charm of a filthy betting window at a fourth-​rate dog track combined with the service of a third-​world municipal permitting office. The line takes forever because the employees are too busy fielding legitimate complaints from exasperated locals who can’t get packages or mail delivered to their homes and businesses. The tape dispenser will slice open your hands and there is packing/​envelope/​label supply debris everywhere, giving it that «recently looted» vibe. When it can’t get worse, the packages you send (and pay $ 100’s for) are sent whenever the employees see fit: days, weeks, or eternities later.
When the employee berated a customer for not completing his label correctly, he hilariously shouted back «I don’t how to do it because I don’t work here! YOU should be helping ME!» An exchange that captured the mood perfectly.

The worst customer service. The clerks act like your doing them a favor. I don’t understand why the postal service allows their employees to be so rude. I dread coming into the post office and having to deal with these clerks that roll their eyes at customers and at times don’t even greet you.

The worst service ever, while my hold mail are sent back to sender due to full mail box i found my mail box is full of Junk mail and commercial advertising inserted in my mailbox by the mailman instead of my important mails which was sent back to senders !!!

Okay, I’ll have to take back those negative stars.

I have to agree with others that the lines here are sometimes long, sometimes short, but regardless, they move at a turtle’s pace. I have been here plenty of times, and although that’s a common theme, friendliness isn’t. At times, I have been helped by courteous, friendly people and other times, by people who cannot be bothered to answer back to my «thanks, have a great day», which is irritating. At least smile, I don’t know!
I haven’t had much of a truly bad experience, unless you count last Monday, when I rushed over there in the morning, trying to send out a package before getting to work since this post office is within a mile or so from my home. I was greeted with a lobby full of people, and the door that leads to the lines and the windows was closed. I asked what was going on (a sign would have helped), and a woman standing in the lobby said that the post office’s computers were down and they had no idea when they would be back up. It was rather outrageous, considering some of these people had already been waiting 30 minutes. I decided to leave and try the post office by my office, where the staff is much more friendly and best of all, no lines, but I was wondering why they don’t have the ability to have a generator or at least open the doors and serve those who are just coming to pick up a certified mail package.
Customer service can definitely be improved a notch.

Based on the experienced of some very respected fellow Unilocalers in this facility, I consider myself quite fortunate. I come to the Design District just about everyday, and because I usually have some time to kill while my daughter comes out of school, I try to do my postal related business during this downtime.
Yes, service has been slow at times, but not anymore than any other post office in the city so it’s A OK for me and I am counting my blessing… so far.

I’ve done everything in my power to avoid the USPS services thanks to this branch, and this branch alone. IT is my sole nemesis in feeling at home in Miami.
Service is a four-​letter word here. Lines, tho not outrageously long, have been painfully slow (Ive waited 40 minutes for stamps until I found I could buy them at the grocery store)… there is rarely more than one window open, even tho heads poke out from the dank recesses of the back room to see how bad the lines are. (This has no apparent affect). and THE WORST of all is their complete inability to forward mail.
For three years in a row, now, I have tried to forward my mail to my main home in Massachusetts. This year, I made certain to WAIT and speak directly with a supervisor to explain the situation, review the forms, hear her disgust at the past inaction, and receive her personal pledge that this year would be different. That was on May 13^th. It is now August 24^th and the ONLY forwarded mail Ive received was the confirmation of forwarding.
Thru the eternal USPS phone system, I just tracked down a local number for this post office (305.573.6056) and spoke with another supervisor who did find my forwarding address requests, but had no explanation… he did, however, promise to follow up with our carrier. I won’t hold my breath.
I just know that my mailbox down there is jam-​packed and overflowing with condo docs, tax bills, utility statements and Victorias Secret catalogs (why, the latter, I am not sure, but it happens)… One would assume that a carrier, even if they were ignorant of a forwarding request, would suspect that something was up when this happens, and at least investigate. Nope. Nada. Just keep jammin’ baby.

Sad little post office with very rude personnel. The 2 stars are for free and easy parking through 2pm. This is very valuable to me, since I live in an area where parking is super limited, and most post offices near me are impossible to frequent because of the terrible parking issues.
I saw 2 of the nearly yelling at a man who’s first language wasn’t English, as if he was a mentally retarded individual who couldn’t understand them. He turned back to us customers in line, mortified. He understood English and could speak fairly well. He just couldn’t hear them clearly through the glass. Many of us advised that he understood and that the humiliation was unnecessary. This may have been an isolated incident…
When I arrived at the counter, after waiting 15 minutes behind 2 people in front of me in line, the attendant blandly asked ‘how are you’ but couldn’t be bothered to actually look at who was standing in front of her. It must be such a daunting routine to have ‘to warmly greet the customers that insure your job and above par benefits’ is what I thought. She was hesitant to fulfill my obscene request of providing me with a small flat rate priority box. She first pointed to the shelves near the entrance, as i suggesting that I’d walked right by them without trying to get one from there first. I explained that their shelves were not properly stocked or replenished because that box wasn’t there. After all this, I got my box, a roll of the eye, and a ‘next’ yelled before I could say thank you.
No thanks. Not when I can help it.

I must say, I had a great experience at my recent trip to the Buena Vista Post Office. I popped in around 9am, on my way back to the office, and was surprised to see that there wasn’t a crazy line already formed. I even snagged an awesome parking spot right outside
I just needed to purchase some stamps, since postage is going up next week, so I didn’t want to wait in line. Luckily, I was in and out in about 10 minutes. I only had to wait for the postal worker to run to the back to grab the new 44 cent stamps for me to purchase. But they were out of 1 cent stamps, which was a bummer. So now I have to waste an extra penny to send mail using the 41 cent stamps that I still have from a couple years back. Oh well.
I can see how this place can get crazy though, as parking in the Design District is already scarce. So if you need to make a Post Office stop, best to do it early, before the lunch crowds descend!
