The Monkey Shuttle

What a great concept! when our office moved from downtown to overtown we were distressed over the fact we would need to find a way to get to the places we used access by merely walking to during lunch. Enter the Monkey Shuttle. We called at 9am for pick up same day at Friday mor-​noon (that’s between 11.30 and noon) the driver was on time, friendly and put up with our tomfoolery. The ride is super fun, think youth fair only electric and you don’t throw up, equipped with seat belts, seats up to 5 and shares the street with common traffic. the driver had us call 10 minutes b4 we were ready for pick up. we waited a few minutes but it was well worth it. It’s different, fun, people stare at you, just plain awesome. I would give it 6 stars if it was an actual monkey driving.

This is the perfect service for those quick lunchtime jaunts where you don’t want to drive around looking for parking, or pay exorbitant parking prices. The service is better than public transport in that it will be pick you up from an exact location and drop you off at an exact location as well — no need to wait at a designated stop.
My coworkers and I used the service to take us from our workplace in downtown Miami to lunch at Mary Brickell Village. The driver was professional and friendly. Most importantly, he was punctual. My coworkers were very pleased with this service and with the alternative mode of transportation. We enjoyed the open air rides to and from lunch.
The locally-​owned currently has two shuttles in its fleet of shuttles. The rides are FREE. Gratuity is welcomed and encouraged, especially if you are pleased with the service. I am. I will be using the service for more lunch time gatherings and perhaps after an evening bar crawl.
