Melissa M.

Business Owner

A true leader of our community, founded Downtown Learning Center in 2003 and embarked in an outstanding career in Early Childhood education. She operated the center for the first two years and began building the base for what today is known as The Learning Center for Kids. With three locations, two in Dade and one in Broward, Melissa has overlooked the operation and growth of her centers, which have serviced over one thousand families. Characteristic to the TLC centers has always been the warm, friendly staff and the «Open Door Policy» that make the children and parents feel just like home. Graduated from University of MIami, earned the Childcare Director/Administrator’s Credential, Owner-​Operator Certificate, First Aid & CPR Training, Florida Child Care Professional Certification, 45-​HRS hours and over 800 CEU’s. Member of the Florida Association for Childcare Management, Alliance for Early Education and Learning, lifetime member of The Children’s Forum. Volunteer for OXFAM & LRRoF
