Such a great sushi spot. Totally hidden gem in the BJ Wholesaler shopping center. They have a variety of options for sushi lovers and non-​sushi lovers! Highly recommend the tuna sandwiches. Cutest way to make a tuna sushi roll. I always ask for it to be spicy! Also don’t be afraid to ask for things you don’t see in the menu cause more than likely they will make if for you. They didnt have tuna tartar on the menu but they still made it for me. Will continue to come back!

About as authentic as it gets. Always hits the spot. Love the atmosphere, food and staff.

Excellent sushi. I came for lunch on a Saturday and ordered the sushi bento box. It was delicious. Great value and decent portions. The service was fast and friendly as well. I will definitely be returning.

Been here a couple of times for lunch, and for $ 11 – 13, you can enjoy yourself a pretty satisfying bento box meal. I’ve tried both the sashimi and sushi bento boxes, and so far I like the sashimi better (but the sushi bento is enough for my stomach hehe). For just a dollar more than the sushi bento, the sashimi bento is much more worth it – with 9 pieces of thick sashimi slices (3 salmon, 3 white, 3 tuna). All the bento boxes come with a California Roll (which is actually pretty good, and it’s a roll I don’t normally order myself), shrimp & vegetable tempura with sauce, ginger salad, and a delicious, warm bowl of miso soup. All that food for just less than $ 14 and of good quality. Makes me curious about dinner.
Yes I’d come again to try the tuna sandwiches and other stuff on the menu, but at least I know where to get a pretty good bento fix with great portions! So for now, I hold back a star to be fair and try other menu options!

I haven’t had sushi in a while and take my sushi very seriously due to the risk when eating raw fish.
So I was in the mood for sushi Unilocaled a place near my house and this came up, I decided to try it out by myself. It is located in the plaza with BJs wholesale. First off I was a little nervous there were a few bad review that made me think twice.
Service the waitress wasn’t so friendly but I understood she’s the only one here with so many customers she looked more stressed than anything. She was attentive though to my order and I didn’t really have to wait for anything, she got her job done basically .
The food was great I got the bento sushi box for about $ 14 dollars and the sushi was good, the sashimi was a bit thick. The fried stuff was amazing because it was hot and tempura was great ! There is only one chef and the chef is cooking and making sushi in the front. I seriously applaud him for keeping up with all the orders !
Overall definitely I would come back to eat and enjoy !

This has been a well kept secret! Ever since I discovered it, I have to eat their food at least once a week! My favorites are, the Broccoli Chicken, the sweetened iced green tea, and the fried brownie tempura ice cream! Soooooooo good! I’m officially addicted!

They have one chef and two waitresses, yes they’re a little slower than other sushi restaurants but they’re worth it. They have great prices and their fish is very fresh. If you’re looking for a quiet place for a date night, this place is definitely a good one.

My favorite Japanese restaurant. They have the best Bento boxes for lunch. I have been eating here for over 15 years’ highly recommend it!

This is by far the worst sushi restaurant I have been to. The server was rude and took forever. When the roll I order came out it was sour and really bad. The server told me that it’s because I don’t know how to eat sushi which I laugh because I eat sushi all the time my boyfriend is a sushi chef at one of the best restaurants here in Miami. You would think that the server arguing with me would be the worst part but then the sushi chef decided to go yelling at us from behind the bar because his role was bad. Never in my life have I had such bad service and let’s not forget the bad food. I will be reporting this restaurant to Miami Dade for selling Bad fish.

I almost hate posting this because I’d hate for this place to get crowded and lose my seat by the bar ;-), but I’ll take a chance because they deserve it. I’ve been a sushi lover for over 20 years. This is absolutely the best and freshest sushi this side of South Beach. The place and location does not look like much but if you want amazing sushi, caught fresh each day, served up by the best sushi chef in town, this is it! That’s all I’m saying.

About as authentic as it comes. Delicious rolls with fantastic prices! Definitely the bang for your buck.
Portion sizes are huge and everything on the menu is devine. Miss the old location, but this one is cozy. Recipes haven’t changed and that’s all that matters. This place is a must try nestled in a little shopping plaza.

First and last time. Had the California Roll and Caliente Roll. California had no cucumber, all sticky breaking apart. The caliente roll didn’t even have the spicy mayo, I had to ask for a side of mayo. Sometimes you have to stick with what you know. Get out make a left and drive to Kampai 72^st and 87 Ave. they are the best

The food was pretty tasty. We started off with the Yakimatsu which is a mushroom and onion dish sauteed with ponzu sauce. It was very tasty for being a pretty simple dish. We then asked for the Dragon boat. This boat was exactly enough food for 3 people. It included a dragon roll, JB roll and California roll. You also had the choice of appetizer and desert (off of a given list not just any on the menu). We had the crab rangoon. It had to have been the freshest rangoon I have ever had. We ended with the Thai donuts which of course, who can ever get that wrong. Overall it was good food and the cost definitely fit the meal. Service was a tad bit slow but overall our waitress was very nice.

I can see where people might get irritated by the slow staff cause these people really are moving slow. But i went on a day that was pretty much empty so I didn’t have it so bad. I thought the sushi was excellent. I will go back again :)

The best fried rice I’ve ever had, even without that yummy pink sauce. Now, don’t you dare ask for that pink sauce, though, The unfriendly waitress will give you a blank stare and pretend like she’s never heard of such a thing before.
There’s a funky smell to the place when you first walk in. Its a faint roach smell mixed with fried japanese food. It’s truly a shame this restaurant is going downhill and losing its customers due to lack in service, because their food is delicious and pretty authentic.
You’re better off bringing your own bottle of water because that one time of water serving is all you’re going to get. I left the place still thirsty.
Overall, this place would be OK to go if you’re not in a hurry and you dont care about service. They have great tasting food but lack staff and customer service.

I love the dragon boat combo here. Its a great price for the amount of sushi you get, plus spring rolls, and a dessert. Also, the pad thai and stir fried udon are great and pretty cheap. The staff is alright, and sometimes can be slow but overall I definitely would come back.

Been a fan of this restaurant since their original location on Kendall drive. They know my family by name! Their wonton soup is pretty darn good. You MUST have the fried icecream!

Man, what a disappointment.
There were 3 tables in the entire restaurant and the wait staff still took forever.
The tonkatsu ramen had no flavor, the rolls were missing ingredients, and the hamachi was over cooked.

I don’t usually post reviews but my experience at this place was so unique that I had to share.
After placing my order with a less than customer service oriented woman, who took about 10 minutes, I was asked to wait approximate 45 minutes for my order. About 10 minutes after, I receive a follow up call asking for additional details as to where my home was and was happy to answer. Hoping that this would only decrease my wait time, given that I was starving!!! An additional 20 minutes pass by before I receive a final call from the same woman who took my order asking me to pick up the order since they were too busy. Since I could not do so at the time, she simply apologized and hung up. Needless to say, I’M NEVER trying this place again!!!
Might be great for dine in but don’t hold your breath if you’re ordering for delivery.

Sorry to crush everyones dreams about this sushi experience, but it was my worst yet.
First off, there is one sushi chef and one waitress during lunch! Bad idea when your little establishment is rockin with hungry people.
Once you walk in, you can assume it’s seat yourself otherwise you’ll be waiting a loooooong time before someone even approaches you. I felt like a good samaritan and actually did some hostess duties while waiting for our waitress to come around and I let people in on the seat yourself rule.
So while we waited more than we should and were about to leave to another sushi restaurant nearby, the waitress finally comes over for our order. We could tell she was rushed so we were as efficient as possible. Nothing complicated… two waters, a Bento Box and a Shrimp Tempura Roll with eel sauce on the side. After waiting another unreasonable amount of time, we finally got our meals.
I speak for my roll… it was all rice! They looked rather large, but it was all a fraud. The roll was mostly rice. It fell apart easily and was not wrapped tight like my usual shrimp tempura rolls. In addition, waitress never came around to replace my eel sauce or water refill and was literally running from table to table. This pressure of course compromises the service. She never smiled, seemed irritated and rushed the whole time.
I said thank you several times– once when she brought out food and the second time for the bill and both times I was ignored as she hurried off to handle something else. You would assume that service was fast, but the truth is it took almost an hour and a half between start to finish and we were only 2 people with very simple orders.
Sorry Sushin, no plans on returning anytime soon… your rolls weren’t worthy and neither was your service!
