I’ve taken many pairs of shoes to the Sunset Cobbler and have been very happy with the results. The owner is very friendly and treats the customers as friends. He chats with you and makes you feel comfortable. I have referred them to many people because I really believe they do excellent work!
The shopping center has its own parking lot so it is very convenient since the area could be overcrowded.

Great service! My husband has a leather bag that belonged to his father and needs to be restored, I found this place on Unilocal and headed over there. When I arrived the staff examined the bag and explained in a very kind and professional manner that the bag was irreparable, the leather skin is too dry and cracked and that any conditioning would accelerate the flaking because at this point the surface of the bag is too porous.
Since the bag holds some sentimental value for my husband they explained that I could clean it with a cloth and water only and explained some other uses I could give the bag. Even though they could not service it they were kind enough to explain why and what I could do with it at this point.
Definitely will return to this place, I was very impressed with their professional service.

Would not recommend this cobbler to anyone. I’ve been going here for years and there’s ALWAYS a wait. With that said, I have stayed as a loyal customer to the cobbler until today because of its convenience. Today, I picked up a bag I had left to get cleaned over a month ago and even though the The Cobbler assured me He could clean it, he Only gave it back to me in worse condition. If you do not believe you can clean a bag, then don’t assure your customers it’s possible. All he offered me was a refund. My bag is officially ruined and can’t be worn again. Absolutely terrible service, I recommend you go to La Milagrosa instead.

Went today for some heel taps on new shoes. There was a steady stream of customers. My request was handled within minutes. The owner was friendly and easy going. I would go back in a minute and plan to in the near future.

I had gotten my shoes dyed and unfortunately they didn’t come out that great. They were blotchy and different colors throughout the shoes. I understood they might not come out perfect, but I wasn’t expecting it to be that blotchy.
My advice for anyone getting this done there is to take a close look at the shoes OUTSIDE of the store. The store doesn’t have great lighting at all, so I didn’t realize just how blotchy the shoes were until I had gotten home.

I was recommended to this shop by two people but am very dissapointed. I took my louboutins to have the red sole under the toes replaced witha rubber sole in order to help take care of the shoe and during the process they ruined one of the shoes. The worst part is they wouldn’t admit it and so they didn’t even apologize. They kept telling me the shoes must’ve come like that but I am super OCD and would’ve noticed it at the store for sure. Never taking my shoes here again.

Quality great… but it should be for their prices and the time it sometimes take… but if you ask for them to rush it they will. I have been a customer of Sunset Cobbler for over 20 years and I can truly say that their work has been consistant and professional. I have also had the pleasure and still is of developing a friendship with the owners and that too has been very consistent. So if you want your old shoes to look new again then I suggest you take them to Sunset Cobbler… you will never go any where else.

I have been taking my shoes here for quite some time and I must say that to this day I have nothing negative to say. The people that work here are polite, professional and do a very very good job. The owner, who i believe i deal with most of the time, is always smiling and very pleasant.
Numerous times I have brought shoes in and they recommend ways to keep my shoes in good condition. Things I never would’ve thought of on my own. Also, they do their best to accomodate a reasonable pick up time if you need your shoes in a hurry.
I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes when I was ready to pick up my shoes. The prices are a little on the high side, but I think it’s what I would expect for this type of great work.

In my opinion, the guy who runs this store is the rudest, most unpleasant and saddest person you have ever met. He is nasty, mean spirited and a huge complainer. He always bad mouths the neighboring businesses and acts like he is better than everyone else. He is a pathetic person, who hates his life. Besides the service being marginal at best, the wait is way too long and the prices are seriously inflated. There are many other places to take your shoes to get fixed, it’s not rocket science. And every one of them seems to value their customers with a much more pleasant demeanor than this jagoff. Look, if you don’t like changing rancid odor-​eaters or scraping off the bubble gum stuck to the bottom of people’s shoes, then go find yourself another line of work. If not, then change your F’ing attitude, and start treating people with some respect and kindness

I have used the services of this cobbler over five times. I used to live in the area and was directed to the place by my ex when I was heart broken that my 6 inch school girl heels had become unglued after I twisted my ankle dancing (another story, LOL). I LOVE my shoes and I ADORE high heels. Unfortunately, I am a KLUTZ. I took in the first pair of shoes and the very nice man in the front, looked at the shoe, complemented me for being able to walk in them and then assured me that my shoes could be saved. He fixed the one side where the leather had broken away from the sole of the shoe. They also reinforced all the other sides. I think all of this was like $ 20.
Since then, I took in other shoes that needed the stiletto heel taps re-​done and a pair of boots. Excellent, polite service. I wish I still lived near by, although I think I might make the 45 minute journey to take my beloved shoes to a place where they will receive TLC. :)

Sunset Cobbler will do a good job with your shoes, but I find their prices to be much higher than their competitors. For example, they charge between $ 34-​$ 36 for rubber half-​soles, which you can have done at other establishments for around $ 20 or so. I’m also wary of their practice of safety-​pinning the repair tickets to shoes; I took in a pair of high-​end heels in a metallic leather and it was obvious that taking the safety pins on and off the shoes had scratched the leather. Repairs generally take one week to complete, and they are closed on Mondays.
