Tried on three different occasions to make an appointment, but no-​one answers the phone. Left a message each time, with no-​one calling me back… guess this is not the doctor for me…

I have been a patient of Dr. Duncan Garcia for many years. Unfortunately the last two times I’ve had to call her office have been nothing short of a disappointment and disaster. Her staff doesn’t answer the phone during business hours and one is forced to leave messages that are never returned before they close for the day. I called yesterday (early in the morning) to leave a message for her regarding a second opinion (i’m pregnant and wanted to double check if a medicine was ok to take) and never received a call back that day. Since I didn’t hear back I called at 7:30 a.m. today to ask what happened. The office staff could not have been more rude or less helpful. The women on the line made me repeat my original question again and was argumenative and disrespectful. During our conversation she made several excuses as to why the doctor and her staff didn’t get back to me and even told me that «all doctors» are like this, stated I needed to come in for an appointment and then proceeded to tell me they didn’t have one available for the next two days. I have never experienced this kind of treatment in my life. I am horrified and very disappointed that a doctor and her staff would treat a sick patient this way. Needless to say, I’ll be switching doctors and I suggest you stay away. It’s more aggravation then it’s worth. Now I’m off to urgent care where I might actually get some real medical care until I find a new doctor.

Dr Duncan Garcia and her staff are very friendly, polite, and they have always welcomed me with a smile. I have been under the care of this doctor for at least 15 years. From the very start of her career, and I couldn’t have made a smarter choice. She informs you clearly and concisely of what is going on with your health, and doesn’t brush you off or make you feel like just another client. I’ve recommended many friends to try out her care, and I always get a kick if I run into one of my friends at her office. I recommend Dr Duncan Garcia then… now…always!

I have had a great experience with Dr. Duncan-​Garcia. I found her to be very thorough and professional as are her staff and PA’s. What I like best is her holistic approach which includes nutritional health and prevention. I had blood work done and had my results the next day. She uses an online e-​portal that has the patient’s test results and entire file. There is a messaging feature, and when I used it she got back to me right away. Another plus for female patients is that Dr. D is qualified to do gynecological exams, so you can get your physical and annual women’s exam at the same visit which is very convenient. The only thing that is inconvenient is finding parking. I usually find metered parking near the Montessori preschool and then walk a block. If you live in Brickell, you can take the trolley there as there is a stop nearby.

Excellent doctor. Excellent bedside manner. Her staff is wonderful. Very professional and prompt. I have been going to her for years and she has helped me through some health challenges and caught everything on time before it developed into something more serious. She’s referred me to specialists whenever necessary and doesn’t over prescribe medication, or order unnecesary diagnostics tests. I am very fortunate to have found her.

I was reading some of the other reviews and I suppose everyone has different experiences, but I like the doctor and the staff here.
When I first moved to Miami, this office was recommended to me and I went and immediately felt at ease with Dr. Garcia. She is nice, respectful and understands my issues and what I need from a doctor. I get a yearly check-​up with her every year where I get an EKG, blood drawn and women’s health exams. It’s also nice to know that I can go to her for any other issues I may have.
I appreciate that she is able to do all of these things in office and that I do not have to go to any outside labs (especially for the blood tests). I’ve never had an issues with the portal and when I have written I do get responses.
I will say that the portal is a bit confusing at times because sometimes results get posted at different times… so you think the final results are in but it’s not really the final results??? So, yes it’s confusing, but I feel as if I did have a big issue I could call and they would handle it as necessary.

She’s been my doctor since she worked at the Palmer Clinic in Key Biscayne and I followed her to her own practice off the island. She’s a great doctor and I have no complaints. I have watched her practice grow and see that she’s very busy now, but she still has that personal kind relationship with her patients one on one. She’s helped me through many health challenges and sent me to the right specialists when it was needed. I recently spoke to someone who had a different experience and I was very surprised as I only have excellent things to say about Dr. Duncan-​Garcia. I have never felt the need to find another primary care doctor and always consult with her on any medical issue.

So I came across this doctor in Google & she is GREAT. She listens to all your concerns, the wait isn’t more than 15 minutes, and she really knows her stuff. Her practice is a little far from my house, but she is definitely worth the drive. I found a doctor for life :)

You guys know I was sick this past year and was basically in a «reaction» mode — ended up going to the hospital when the condition became serious. I’m also trying to start eating right — while still Unilocaling :) and excercising. Lastly, I figured that having a primary care doctor could spot something before I have to actually go to a hospital. A friend from work referred Dr. Duncan, and I went for my physical today.
The waiting room looks like a classic living room, with a center throw rug, leather couch and three chairs. There’s also a radio playing an easy listening station. Her office staff /​medical assistants were pleasant and helpful.
Although my appointment was at 1:15, I didn’t get in for an hour. Once inside I found out why. Dr. Duncan listens and provides a thorough physical. She also has blood draw facilities in the office. The fact that she’s a D.O. (instead of traditional M.D.) is a positive, as she is likely to recommend natural and nutritional remedies, instead of just helping Big Pharma’s bottom line.
I would sincerely recommend Dr. Duncan to anyone needing an attentive Primary Care doctor.
