My girlfriend and I went to sidebar yesterday to have a drink. When we got there, we were treated with so much disrespect from the bouncer and the doorman that that completely ruined our night. We will never come here again or recommend this place to anyone! If they keep treating their costumes like that, I’m sure they won’t have a lot of business in the future.

Went to sidebar last night with a bunch of friends, I’ve been to sidebar before and have only had minor issues like slow service and long lines, but last night was the last straw. The bouncer was so rude to my boyfriend and I, first of all he gave us this whole «no guys after 12» speech and then after I convinced him to let us in, he laughed and took my ID and said «go home». Some people should not be in the customer service business and this bouncer was definitely one of them, seems like the «power» of being a bouncer really got to his head.

Music was on point!!! free drinks until 12 on thursdays but the drink was nasty soi just paid and got coronas :)

Great vibe, very chill with some great ass music. I had so much fun. This place doesn’t disappoint and the DJ is awesome!!! The attire is casual cute and it has an inside and outside area with bars and a food truck. My friends and I danced all night. I will be back again !!

This place is fun! Great music! Great vibes! Great space! Cool people. I always have fun when I come here! And it’s open till 5, so once places in wynwood close this is where everyone usually goes after.
If you like to dance. This place will suit you well!
No cover to get in either! I don’t remember if drinks are expensive or not, but I’m sure they’re average.
There’s an outside area with a food truck and music too. So you can choose what type of vibe you want!

Sidebar is a cool place to get your night started, or a pit stop along the way. Usually no line, and never a cover charge the 3 – 4 times I’ve gone. If you can’t find a meter, there’s parking right in front for $ 15, which isn’t too bad if you’re gonna stay long, but a bad investment if you’re just gonna pop in and out. The crowd seems mostly local, and definitely on the younger side. Drinks are cheap, but small.

Premium drinks are really expensive for the tiny amounts they serve. Teeny tiny 6 oz plastic cups serving $ 12 drinks. It’s hot af in Miami and the indoors area that they have is always really muggy. Parking is OK because it’s walking distance from the entrance. Wouldn’t be my first pick of venue.

If you go after 10 pm and you’re a guy or you go with a group of guys with no women the white guy at the door wont let you in so don’t waist your time its happened to be and my guy friends twice after waiting for an hour he told us we ain’t getting in they only letting couples or girls only and another time i had gone with a white plain t shirt and he didn’t let me in either you have been warned besides that the place is cool to hang out

Super tendy bar, you think it’s going to be a little hole in the wall bar but in reality it’s huge! Lots of place to sit, drink and enjoy the GREAT music selection!

Step into a early 90s style hip hop backyard party. The music and atmosphere transport you into a Snoop Dogg music video. If you get hungry they have a food truck in the back, and if you like dancing or are just looking to watch fun people dance and let loose, this is the primo spot to enjoy some old school night life under the beautiful miami ski.

I came and went all in good graces and very good vibes. The look and feel is so good.
With a welcoming food truck outside, you guys are just ahead of the game. It’s tucked away from the mainstream hustle and bustle of Brickell and is very much a late night place. I got in around 1a.m. and there were still spaces to sit and tables to lounge out in and air to breathe. Even talking to the bartenders, they all said the same thing. This is a late-​late night crowd. It’s fun and chill and you can make what you want of it.
I can’t say enough good things about this place, I just look forward to seeing you again. Just maybe at a later time to see how the night progresses there. Side Note for Sidebar: I do kinda wish they had a special cocktail menu. But I know I’ll be fine without it. Oh and they have a self serve water cooler and a pac man machine! There’s a wide open space inside, and some huge «big-​ass» fans.

Literally a hole in the wall. Coming from the inside and adjacent next to a soccer park you’d never believe there was a bar inside. Once you go in you’re greeted by a grant room with a bar, past the bar the exit towards the outside.
The outside portion is huge, provided with adequate seating and music. In the middle of everything is a food truck serving anything from hot dogs to croquettes.

Great spot to chill and relax without the Brickell showoff…

Sidebar is located in Brickell right by I-​95 in a great accessible location with parking provided outside the lounge for only $ 5 and $ 0 cover to get inside. I went for the first time on a Saturday with a group of friends at 11PM and had no issue with parking or getting in. That night they also had a promotion going on for $ 5 off your tab that night which was awesome too!
Once inside there are couches, and chairs placed throughout the room and a lot of space to get around the bar or dance. Sidebar is kind of a ghost town at 11PM… the lounge doesn’t start getting packed with people until 1AM and the music gets real good! The music provided by the DJ was mostly old school hip hop/​rap, and tons of hot classics that will get everybody moving!
There is also a spacious outdoor section with a similar set up to the indoors. Outdoors you’ll also find outdoor bars and food trucks that serve hot, fresh food, which I wish I could of tried out, but I unfortunately ate before heading out to Sidebar with my friends!
So back inside the indoor bar: Drinks run at $ 10 a pop here which is alright compared to other bars, but it’s not alright when the drinks being made are not measured and prepared properly. I ordered a Jack & Coke, and I would of been better off ordering just a coke. The drink was served very messy and prepared fast in a reckless manner, not cool. I’m not a bartender but that drink served was an abomination, and again very messy.
I also had some difficulty trying to close my tab out. I provided both my credit card & driver license to the bar at the beginning of the night, and somehow it got lost or mixed up with another customer. Luckily the problem did get resolved, and both my cards were located after waiting about 10 minutes.
This is a great spot, great music provided by the DJ, a great crowd and a good mix of people who come out. I’ll definitely give it a shot again in the future and hopefully not get served another drink overflowing with coke and tiny portions of alcohol.

I haven’t found a good spot to hang out on the weekends in a while. The second something cool opens up, within a month the place is so crowded that it makes it impossible to have a good time. Sidebar has been open about 6 months (I think?) and even by the end of the night it was crowded but not unbearably so. I hope it can stay just under the radar enough to continue to be enjoyable.
After that mini rant about needing a certain level of personal space, let me tell you why Sidebar itself is a great spot:
+The Music — the first thing I noticed about this place was that the music was incredible. A lot of old school rap and hip-​hop, mixed in with a lot of music that is obscure enough to be interesting and fresh, but not so obscure that it’s alienating to anyone.
+The Vibe/​Location — while it’s technically in Brickell (underneath I-​95) theres a much lower level of Brickell douchebags here than you would expect. It’s more of a Wynwood/​Midtown crowd. The inside is a pretty comfy looking lounge with a long bar. The outside space looks like someones chilled out backyard. Lots of string lights, picnic tables, a sort of living room area with a couple sofas and chairs, etc. It’s kind of a similar style as Brick House, but on a smaller scale and with a bit more open space.
+Drinks/​Service — the service was prompt and friendly, not too many long bar lines even later into the night, and well drinks were pretty fairly priced at $ 8. You can’t expect any cheaper, you’re still in Brickell after all.

I really enjoy coming to sidebar. Mostly because I can go in jean shorts, & a pair of vans. Bouncers are really cool, not douchey which is always a plus. The layout inside is easy to maneuver. There are several places to sit outside & inside. I’m a huge sucker for bistro lights. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because drinks are pricey– like anywhere else in Miami I guess. Music selection is always on point.

After cleaning this spot out its defently a hang out spot. The music sounds great. So many bars. So tropical Miami & great location.

I went for the first time the other night and I thought it was a really cool place. You get the Wynwood vibe, but in the Brickell area.
The atmosphere and the music is great. It’s a fun place to go when you’re with a group of friends and just want to have a fun night out in Brickell.
Cheap drinks plus great music is a recipe for a fun night filled with lots of dancing! I will definitely go back soon!

This place is super cool and a great addition to the Brickell nightlife scene.
Imagine Wynwood hipster meets Brickell socialite. There is definitely a unique mix of people at this bar. very eclectic yet genuine.
Honestly the music, ambiance, and crowd are a step above BlackBird in my opinion.

I’ve been to Sidebar (previously PAX) a couple times now since the switch and had a great time both nights. Like others have said, the parking situation is a little weird, with a man running the decently sized lot right outside. One night, we paid $ 5, but he charged our friends $ 10 just a few minutes later. Our friends asked for their money back at the end of the night and he handed it over. The other night, the lot was full and the man asked for our keys to park the car… We decided to find parking elsewhere.
Good thing is, there’s tons of parking on 8^th street nearby. As long as you’re not alone, the short hike is worth it.
The venue is great for a DJ and for live music. It gets pretty crowded and the lines for the bars can get insane! But the prices are decent, especially after no cover. And the music is great, and danceable. I’ve found the crowd to be a young-​but-​not-​too-​young group that’s pretty varied, some hipsters and some fashionistas. I like the laid-​back vibe.
Overall, this is one of my new favorite places to go out and have a fun night. I like the venue better in its current reincarnation!

Are u secretly a hipster at heart and don’t feel like driving to wynwood? Then sidebar is def for you.
This place used to be Pax. so they’ve kept pretty much the same layout but the patio now has a food truck, more seating area and overall it feels more welcoming and cool.
The dj last night was playing some good old school jamz… and yes. we danced.not too many people were dancing. but who cares.
Bartender was very nice, drinks are on point and guess what. no cover.
Good job Sidebar. you will def see more of me in the future.

The DJ playing the vinyls and the ambience was really nice. Much better than fancy clubs, really nice people and a really good service. That’s the kind of place that I like.
