Sheraton Miami Airport Hotel & Executive Meeting Center

Two stars because in the typical 5-​star rating system, this would not qualify as a 3-​star.
It is clean and the beds are comfortable. — only trouble is that it lacks normal modern electronic amenities. For example: no USB ports anywhere in the room. Not even one of those combo ones that stick out of the lamp or power strip. Same goes for electrical outlets. If you needed to plug in something, say a C-​Pap air machine, there is no outlet near the bedside table! Additionally, if you wanted to plug in a smartphone charger at the desk, you needed to crawl underneath the desk to plug it in. Everyone travels with a smartphone, and oftentimes, tablets too. All hotels above a 1-​star need to install power centers on the desk in each room to facilitate this. This is just basic inn keeping in the 21^st century.

Uhhhhhh 12:30 am turn down service? I think not! Some MAN just tried to bombard into my room! Then when you call down to guest services and they say it’s normal and its house keeping, but also proceed to tell you that the house keeping staff for the night is female uhhhhhhhh I have an issue! Thank god my dead bolt stopper was armed! Be on guard use the dead bolt stopper!

As someone who has stayed at many hotels due to their job bringing them to plenty of wonderful (and some absolute fucking garbage) places…
This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at, based on many things, and compared to all the other hotels.
Let’s start with this, people in Miami are fucking shit-​shows. Almost every person I’ve met here in Miami has been a totally unpleasant piece of shit.
When I started with looking for parking, I got lost, and the gate to the parking lot exit wasn’t working. So when I got stuck there, I got honked at and yelled at even after telling them there was nothing I could do.
When I was released from my concrete prison, I found my way to the entrance, and when I asked about parking, they sent me right back to the monster.
After parking, I walked to the hotel. The parking cost was already a pain in the ass. $ 17 for overnight parking. If you are a hotel guest, you are paying this. Suck it up.
My hotel stays are paid for by the company, so when they tell me they can’t use the credit card on file (like many others have been able to) I’m blown away entirely. I no longer bring money on my trip, so I’m not tempting to make purchases and lose money when I should be making it. I ended up using my friends’ card, because I was lucky enough to have it on me.
Now the room, Oh BOY!
This room is small, and fucking sucks so much dick even compared to a ghetto Days Inn. At least the Days Inn had a Microwave and fucking mini fridge.
There was piss in the toilet when I got here. That’s disgusting. The room wasn’t even cleaned, still had urine from the last guest. This is 100% the worst hotel I’ve stayed in.
One of the outlets clearly had fire damage. It was blackened. That’s fun and safe for your whole family, right?
I won’t even touch the coffee because while it’s complimentary in other hotels, I expect it isn’t here. Why? Because the CONTINENTAL breakfast is $ 12. Something usually free at EVERY hotel. Even a hotel having renovations had a table with some simple breakfast foods for leaving guests, since they couldn’t provide a full continental breakfast.
If you don’t like having regrets, don’t stay here.
I’m looking forward to getting out of here, where as usually I want to stay until checkout. Unless they sneak that up on me, and tell me checkout is 9 AM. Again, I expect plenty awful from this place.

I’m actually quite speechless with how amazing the staff are at this hotel. I flew in from California for my Med school graduation & ever since my arrival I was welcomed by the staff’s warm wishes & hospitality. I came back to my hotel from my ceremony today & found the nicest surprise in my room. The staff wrote me a super special congrats card & brought me complementary champagne & desserts curtesy of chef Frank & his staff. Thank you so much for all the love & thoughtfulness from the bottom of my heart. Chef Frank, you and your staff made my day super special. Thanks again!

Great place!!! Coming from New York City. Great place to unwind. Everyone was great and helpful. Clean room. Great customer service. Valet Parking guys are the best! Took good care of me. Love this place. I would def go back again. A great distance from everything. Not too close but not too far.

This is an overpriced hotel. We rented a car. They charge $ 17 /​night to park in a covered parking, but there was no available spots. Our 1^st day there, one of the concierge staff picked up a lizard outside and threw it at his coworker. That was repulsive. The room wasn’t worth 135 dollars. They also put a 100 dollar hold on the card for incidentals and it takes 5 to 7 business days to get that back. I don’t recommend this place.

The costumer service? There is none! I wilk be going to a convention in a couple of weeks there and was debating whether to stay here if elsewhere but b efire i made a decision i needed a few questions answered. …i called and was placed on hold, unfortunately the connection failed so i called again, the same voice answered and i expkained i had been waiting in the line abd got disconnect, she said «ill have to pkace you on hold» so i waited for aprox 5 mins then sge came on the phone and i asked her about transportation to the convention, she didn’t know the answer so she put me on hold yet again… she comes on and answers tge phone as if she was greeting anotger client and again i begin tk ask my question BUT… she cut né off and said «yeah, yeah i know what you need… hold on»…places me on yet another hold for over 15 mins… i got tired on waiting and booked the other hotel! Sad they lost a costumer over poor costumer service!

Overall this place is nice. Got in late due to wx delays that caused our flight to be late. Arrived at hotel after 2330. The bar stops serving food at midnight but room service available until 0200. The food was pretty darn good. Had plantains with shrimp and roasted peppers and a hamburger. Both were exceptionally well done. The beer was cold and wet which is just how I like it. Honestly hotel bar food isn’t usually my thing as its tasteless and crappy. Not here ! This food rocked !
Rooms are about what you would expect for a hotel this close to the airport that sees so much traffic daily. My room was pleasant and clean. Bathroom was very dated and tiny. Wasn’t looking to have a party in there but at 6ft 4 in its tight.
The concierge lounge was very nice and clean. The staff was attentive and polite. The food was ok but no where as good as the bar food. The eggs had peppers and onions in them which was a nice touch.
Overall I would stay here again.

The only nice thing about this hotel is the lobby. No mini fridge, no cable tv, horrible shower. How are they still in business. It’s embarrassing. Will never stay here again.

Super park and fly option, I left my care here for five days, by accident I left my window open, with tones of stuff in my care. I am excited to report it was all still there. Shuttle drivers were great, I slipped and fell coming off the shuttle the driver was super concerned and helped me get up.
The hotel was very nice and staff were helpful. i have stayed here a few times now it’s always a good option. Right next to the Amtrak and monorail station although I have never used it.

Non English speaking bartender couldn’t put on a NFL playoff game. Helpful front office girl did try to assist. Overall puke service. D not recommend.

Stayed here via SPG Points prior to the day of my departure back to Buffalo and was really impressed. Whoever checked us in deserves a raise (I wish I got his name) as he went out of their way to make us feel incredibly special. «Oh you’re SPG members? Do you want a complimentary 4pm checkout? I’ll give you the floor with the best view, etc.» We didn’t need a late checkout since we were flying to the airport early the next morning, but that set an amazing tone for the stay, so kudos to the person at the desk. Hotel front desk staff, take note — if you have available rooms and you can put on a charade like that to please your customers, do it!
The room was nice and standard. Couple free bottles of water inside, the view was right out to the Miami airport so for an aviation buff like myself, it was perfect. The hotel is only a mile away and they have a free shuttle that runs to the airport every 15 minutes (or 30 minutes from like 12am-​5am). We took advantage of the shuttle the next morning and it was a nice, free way to get right to the airport.
The beds were comfortable and the staff was very nice. There’s a small shop downstairs with amenities, but don’t bother as a bottle of water downstairs costs 4 freaking dollars. They do have half pint sizes of Ben and Jerry’s though which cost the same. 0 calorie water or deliciously caloric Ben and J’s? You tell me. Ask the house keeping staff for bottles of water if you can, despite them not always speaking English, they were happy to accommodate with some additional free water.
I’d be happy to stay here again if I needed a hotel close to the airport!

This hotel is a disgrace.
Keys don’t work, parking garage gate broke, charges $ 15 for parking, and acted confused that I was in my own car.
I haven’t even made it to the room yet. Because I can’t even park my car.
Long line of people at the front desk and only one person servicing the front desk.
All this for $ 152 a night.
Here is an update.
The room it’s self was dank and a bit old. Comfortable enough but it needed to be updated. The restaurant charges $ 19 for a breakfast bar and everything else there is very expensive. If you order one order of toast, you would be better off just going to the store and saving money and buying an entire loaf of bread. If you had it on other items from the menu, you could easily just buy a toaster and toasted your self.
Upon leaving, I checked out and they asked me if anything was wrong. When I rattled off the various issues they ignored everything except the air conditioner in my room which was stuck on snow. They then look angrily at me and told me that I should’ve asked for another room. Again, there was one person at the front desk at checkout. I then went to get my car and found that I needed my room key to get out of the parking garage which I given up during checkout. I hit the button for assistance and they said assistance was on its way, but nobody showed up. I went to the valet and asked them and they said that nobody had alerted them but they were actually very friendly and very helpful. By the time I made it back to the parking garage, there was a backup of cars from other people who couldn’t get out as well. Keep in mind, my car was out of the way so it wasn’t blocking.

It’s all about location, if you are transit passenger you have it made, this is nearest hotel property to MIA. If you are on business to MIA and going to be around then head towards downtown, around Brickell or Biscayne. The club level is not really worth the consideration, breakfast downstairs in main restaurant is lot better. Club level coffee machines are out of order, just two employees at club level restaurant are doing what they can, it’s not recommended. This was a old Whyndem hotel and now a Sheraton. It’s interesting that they announced today that Starwoods is now owned by Marriott, hope they delist this property. It’s not worth wasting your money if you can manage to be 15 min away in blue lagoon area properties. The hotels there are close to airport and lot newer facility with better management.

Rundown hotel with spotty service. Front desk agents and bell service was great. Room smelled of mold and is in need of an update, wasn’t stocked with toiletries but did come standard with roaches.
Dinner service was poor, the waitress rarely came by to check on us. Waited about 10 minutes just to get the bill which if busy you could understand but with only 3 tables being occupied made it frustrating. Breakfast crew was much better.

What started as a simple task — stay overnight at a hotel that is close to a cruise ship’s parking lot that we will
disembark from port of Miami the very next day — it becomes a giant exercise of futility of patience and
wonderment of human patients and existence.
When I started with this idea I noticed the Sheraton Hotel is right next to the freeway (I-​95) and close to the
airrport, I was extremely impress that it was roughly only 5 milesfrom the cruise parking lot. Heck, even the reviews
were semi decent… What could go possibility could go wrong… Let the adventure begins.
We got in late (10 pm or so) from driving from Charleston, SC. Pulled in front for check in — decided do ignore
the valet parking service to save the hassle (more on this later) and maybe a few bucks, The cost for parking is
$ 15 per night. whether you use valet parking or not. Yes, yes, I know, the average person would have chosen
the Valet parking. I am not the average person — I am the village idiot, parent and Mr. Burns (in other words,
cheap) … In short, we were unorganized and were not ready to turn over our dirty vehicle to a stranger (hey, we got
two kids and a dog) this becomes a task of hell to move quickly.
We parked on the 3 rd deck (highestfloor and uncovered) of the parking garage due to the amount of guesses vs
the amount of spaces. Hence from the 3^rd floor of the parking lot, we had to walk down to the 2^nd floor of the
garage to enter the main exterior walk way of the hotel. From there you will have to walk the full length of the
hotel (about 150 – 200 yards) to enter it’s main lobby to go to our room. Our room was
at the far end of the Hotel that partially connects to the parking garage. In other words, our car is only 15 feet
from our room, yet we have to walk 300 yards and gone through 2 floors to from to our room. When I realized that
forgot my phone USB charging cable in the car, I was seriously tempted use the emergency exit to go back to
the car. I didn’t think activating the fire alarm late at night would make my significant other very happy,
especially with the possibility that they would call the cops on me.
Yes, I should have used the Valet parking. Again, if you have children with a constant dirty car and being brain
dead because you have been a parent too long.
A few other notes about the hotel:
* Their bar lounge is nothing to brag about. Then again, we didn’t feel like walking 300 yards and 2 flights on
stairs to head out on the town.
* They served breakfast, but… Their buffet is $ 19 per person. Did I say I am Mr. Burns and extremely cheap?
* The hotel is right next door to the airport. Our room was extremely quiet. Definitely 5 stars on thisfront.
I doubt I will use this hotel again considering the parking lot was own by them and they want to charge their
customer $ 15 per night.

Great customer service ! I checked in rather quickly didn’t have to wait long to get my room. I booked threw Expedia and got a great price, I booked a double bed and last min had to switch to a single they accommodated me and gave me a king bed with a great view of the gold course. the room was huge and clean I have a late flight so I asked for the complimentary late check out @ 1pm. I didn’t feel well so I ordered the room service instead of going down to the restaurant, the room service was very fast 20 mins tops … I loved that I didn’t have to wait hours for my food to come to the room.

STAY AWAY IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN!
My daughter (14 month old) tried to climb their nightstand. There were a huge glass lamp sitting on the top of it. The night stand was high and light. It wasn’t strong enough to hold itself. Also, the lamp wasn’t stabile it was shaking when the table move. So my daughter fall down with the glass lamp in her face. She got a lot of stitches on her face. We called an ambulance and went to the hospital from 4pm until 2am. There was a deep cut on her lips down to here jaw. Also, there was another cut next to her nose, and a stitch down her eye. The hotel knows that I had baby before I checked in. The room wasn’t prepared for children. How can baby with 14 months pull a whole nightstand down? It was a horrible night. hopefully, no one will experience something like this.
Also, before we checked out, they told us we wont charge you anything and you are free to go, but they already charged us the whole amount!

I had a total of 4 rooms and ONE being the presidential suite. Let me start with the regular rooms were great! The hotel is located CLOSE to Miami International and a bus terminal where you can take bus 150 for a 30 minute ride to South Beach. Very easy and convenient. The presidential suite is almost beautiful. The view was amazing, and the space with the spiral staircase was pretty cool. There are no safe’s in the rooms.
However, what makes this hotel one of the worst I have ever stayed at was the on duty manger’s customer service and the overall condition of presidential suite I reserved.
The picture shows a LARGE table that has service for 6 people as well as a bar table top to seat 4. There were actually only 3 chairs at the table.
The pullout couch was broken. As soon as maintenance walked in he said oh yeah this couch has been broken a long time. The maintenance guy suggested to sleep the opposite way since when you laid on the couch bed your head slanted backwards it would be more comfortable to sleep with your feet slanted. There were also EXPOSED nails on the couch. Not safe at all. So I called back down to the manager on duty she came up to see the couch bed. As she continually cut me off by saying «I understand» my friend asked her if she would sleep on the bed as is or allow her mother to do so. Her response was when it’s time to go to sleep she can sleep on any bed and her mother would be happy with a place to lay her head. I tried to negotiate something for the night, it’s after midnight we’re tired and ready to go to bed. I asked for an additional roll away and I sent the two teens upstairs to the King to sleep and later I get a call there were NO roll-​aways available.
Next I asked for a regular room so that two people could sleep in I was offered a discount on another room instead of paying 289 you can pay 239 for an additional room. Then she insulted me by telling me you got this room at a great rate by using some of your Starwood points for a discount. I don’t understand WHY using my Starwood points was an issue.
I was then offered a junior suite or $ 20 less a night. So by this time the two teens are sleep in the King bed upstairs and now you want me to wake up the two teens pack up ALL 5 of us and move to a smaller suite? She said that was the only solution for us. I asked to speak to her boss and I was told that was impossible and she would not wake up her boss to deal with this instead she’d give me 3,000 Starwood points and free breakfast. I told her I was unable to sleep on 3,000 starwood points and free breakfast. I even offered to HELP move a pullout couch from another room and she told me that was not an option and ALL of the couches from the other rooms were the same condition and they would be sure to not book the Presidential suite for anyone who needed the pullout couch.
We never resolved the issue and we took the mattress off the pullout couch and putting it on the floor which made it bearable to sleep on versus the broken frame.
I called the desk first thing Sunday morning to get the extra roll away bed and they delivered it promptly. You would think with such a bad situation someone would have contacted the manager above her on Sunday however, this was not done and I was told I would get a call from the general manager on Monday morning, the day I was to check out.
When I went down to use the free complimentary breakfast I was told by the front desk staff after reviewing the notes it says I REFUSED the complimentary breakfast. I NEVER refused it I told the manager it was NOT an acceptable resolve for sleeping on the floor. I had to go in a circle for the breakfast.
I eventually spoke with the general manager’s assistant and she was VERY helpful and understanding of the situation and AGREED it was handled improperly. As long as that manager is there and the hotel doesn’t care about the comfort and quality of their hotel it’s a WASTE for the presidential suite.

This review is strictly on the hotels lounge. I have never stayed here.
I was here a year ago at the lounge. To my surprise when I visited this year the lounge was totally revamped. I did not think the former way was bad. The new set up is trendy with comfortable side tables as well as comfy couch areas. So you have choices according to your mood. We chose the bar which is angeled just right and has a nice feel to it.
The drinks were well prepared. My friend ordered the Salmon which came with a hefty portion of grilled asparagus. He said it was the best salmon he ever tasted. We shared a cheese pizza with truffle oil. It was delicious and needed to prepare us for the nights drinking schedule. My hubby ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. He enjoyed it but found himself taking the top bread off half way because it was too much.
After our concert we returned about 11 to find the lounge in full throttle. We enjoyed a flat bread pizza. They have a decent late night menu.
Prices are on the high side but I’m sure I’ll be back next year.
