Pro Auto Glass & Window Tinting

I had to have the front passenger window on my Chevy Equinox replaced because someone tried to smash it. They hit it seven times but apparently laminate glass doesn’t break easily. I called Pro Auto Glass to get a quote. They were very friendly over the phone and gave me a much better price than Safelite. The guy came out when promised and was very friendly and replaced my window super quickly! My sister’s car was also hit by the same culprits and had to have two windows replaced on her Lexus. They did a great job on both cars!

First experience with them was excellent — they replaced the shattered driver’s side window of my nissan altima and tinted it — excellent experience (this was March 2015). Then on Friday (8 May) I called as we need a new windshield for the Ford F150. They couldn’t get anyone to us on the weekend, but said Monday morning between 8 and 9 am, at home in fort lauderdale. I said please, as close to 8 am as possible as I’m supposed to be at work in Miami by 8, so the sooner the better. NObody showed up. At 8.45 I called Angel and he said oh, he just found out his guys broke down, and they could get to me within a few hours. I understand — things break down but why didn’t someone call me as soon as they knew? I had to call them to find out where they were. And only found out 8.45 am — I didn’t want to drive the truck with the cracked windshield, but had no choice after that. So I ended up losing an hour and a half of wages plus still driving with cracked windshield. But hey, these things happen, so I was frustrated but understanding. NOT understanding why nobody called me, but understanding that they broke down.
Anyway, I rescheduled for the next day, and this time to meet my husband at his work in Miami — saying please please be there as close to 8 as possible — knowing that anytime between 8 and 9 would be OK. My husband waited for them like a chump, and at 9.30 I called Angel — where are your guys? oh, they’ll be there soon. I said ANGEL, you promised between 8 and 9 — it’s 9.30 now and nobody’s even called. He was most apologetic but it makes no difference — obviously his guys couldn’t care less about customers or their time — or else they’d at least have called to say they were running late. My husband had got to work at 7.45 just in case they were early, so he waited almost 2 hours for them, and not even a phone call. Two days in a row they have let me down, and I’m stuck driving with a shattered windshield, thanks to them, when it should have been fixed Monday morning. Unfortunately I won’t be going back to them, not if this is how they treat us. All they had to do was show up between 8 and 9 OR AT LEAST CALL TO SAY THEY’RE RUNNING LATE. but they didn’t show up and didn’t call. Two days in a row. That’s unacceptable.

I wouldn’t recommend this company if you want the work done with their supposed lifetime warranty guarantee. My fiancé’s brother’s car needed a windshield replaced and it was done on 3÷3÷15. The glass is okay but the weather strip that goes around the glass is not done correctly. We are now on 4÷8÷15. Calling several times and no answer. They answered once today and promised to call back and never did. Do NOT waste your money here. Go to a trusted company. You will spend $ 236 on that windshield and never hear from them again. I’ve called them 9 times today and he pretended to answer and placed me on hold twice. No answer still.
This company is falsely advertising to be a part of the BBB, do not trust. I called the BBB and they couldn’t find this business at all.

Price was right and very timely — was able to fit me in the same day I called. Installer came to my home and worked in the garage. I was told $ 149 for 3M, lifetime warranty. I never received an invoice or warranty info, despite asking 3 times, and makes me doubt the product used. The quality of the job is OK, not great. I can actually see some very small dots/​bubbles in some areas, and it is past the 4 day «dry time» — but not worth dealing with.
