This store is close to Brickell but it is not Brickell prices. 50 cents a lb for apples. 3 Lbs of squash /caabaza for $ 1. These prices stick in my mind, but of course every week the sale changes. I come here off and on because its not the cleanest or most wonderfully smelling place but the produce prices cannot be beat. And, warning, sometimes you slice into an apple and its rotten. But sometimes the apples are the most delicious you can find in Florida. Also great, the neighborhood. Conveniently located off 95 in Little Havana this neighborhood is safe and charming. Today I went on a Sunday at 2Pm and there were barely any lines.(This is not always true) Do not expect Publix sanitary environment or Customer service standards but this place is great if you want to go on a field trip once in a while. I focused on produce but they have everything like a regular supermarket including a butcher and a paper goods aisle. Practice your Spanish while doing your chores.

Presidente’s makes grocery shopping fun. The prices are extremely reasonable and will have your wallet smiling on your way out. Terrific variety of meats and produce items. However, be sure to brush up on your Spanish before interacting with the staff. It’s easy to feel as if you’re visiting a foreign country when you come here. While the quality service and abundance of English speakers are left in the hands of giant grocery chains(Publix, Win Dixie, etc.), the best bargain in town is here at Presidente.

If there were 0 stars, I would give it. Gave me a hard time about bringing in my messenger bag to do groceries. I was asked to leave it with Customer Servicer or leave. If they can’t trust me with my bag, why should I trust them Customer Service?! I asked to talk to the manager once outside. but the Security said he didn’t know who that was, and that they’re probably inside. Nice; inside where I’m not allowed in.

Never had a problem at Presidente’s. The prices, especially for produce are super cheap. Here’s a tip though. Don’t come in here on your high horse expecting the people here to speak English. They don’t. Everytime I visit I close my eyes and pretend that I am visiting a foreign country. I get a free course in conversational Spanish and great selection for food that they want to charge an arm and a leg for at other stores. If you want superior service and English speakers(while paying ridiculous prices in some cases for vegetables) then skip here and immediately go to Publix where shopping, by the way, is indeed a pleasure :)

We receive the local flyers on Wednesdays. This time they had bologna for $.98, and Crackers(28 oz tin) for $ 2.89.We decided to get some incase the storm becomes worse. When we went to buy it, waited in line with our items… our turn, and the cashier rings up $ 5 for the Crackers, almost $ 3 for the bologna… Unbelieveable, we showed them the flyer and all they said was that that price was for another location… Price Gouging at its Worse… Major Crooks run the Supermarket… Presidente, have you no morals!!! Ripping the local community off to benefit your bottom line during a storm warning… Shame on You!!! Price Gouging is Illegal… I will foward this incident to the State Attorney General… If you have similar encounters with Presidente… Please call 1866966‑7226 /18669NO-SCAM toll free.
