Pinecrest Medical Group

The review I am writing about is about the Pinecrest Medical and Wellness Center where they do many services one of which is for weight loss. They are located at 10 420 SW 77^th Ave but they have many different locations elsewhere.
I recently bought a groupon ($ 89) for the service of 4 vitamin B12 injection with a physical examination by a physician and supervised diet plan. The only thing that actually happened was the shots that were administered to me by a technician weekly for 4 weeks.
When the doctor came in to give me a «physical examination» he spent 10 minutes explaining to me that I need to be on a 1,200 calorie diet. He quickly glanced over my medical history and did not ask me any questions about my exercise patterns or eating patterns. No physical examination was given. My blood pressure had been taken previously by the technician as well as my weight. Being a nurse myself, I know the several parameters of an actual «physical examination» none of which this physician actually accomplished. The physician himself did not speak to me about my weight, my goals or anything related to my visit. That was the last and final time I saw the physician. I left with 2 hand-​outs explaining the diet and shots. Useless. I did not receive any measurements including BMI which is vital to any weight loss program. Following that visit, there was no «supervision of the diet plan» meaning that the upcoming visits would only consist of me getting the shot and leaving.
On the following visits, which only took 10 minutes maximum each time, the technician gave me the shot, took my weight and told me to schedule an appointment for the following week. The physician did not supervise my weight loss, nor did he supervise my diet plan.
On the last day of my visit, I wanted to take home with me another months worth of Phentermine tablets (which the office says clearly on the groupon that I could purchase for an additional price) but they did not allow me to. They wanted me to pay another $ 50 to be «seen by the doctor» and another $ 85 for the pills. I said no, and I left.
Aside from the fact that I did not experience any weight loss with the vitamin B12 shots, Phentermine pills, and 1,200 calorie diet, the company and service was extremely horrible. Do not waste your time visiting this doctor or this facility. You are better off researching all the information yourself on google. I will never visit this facility again nor do I recommend anyone visit it either.

Great location that is very convenient for me and my family. The staff is very helpful and prompt with following up on your lab results. It was a very welcoming experience and I would recommend this clean facility and great doctors to anyone who is considering a change of their general practitioner.

I have been seeing Dr. Amy for 10+ years. The knowledge, experience, and work ethic she brings are second-​to-​none. She does a great job of explaining ANYTHING and will take the time to make sure that YOU are the priority! She walks a fine line between understanding and being stern with you, which is what you want out of a healthcare professional. You want someone to GENUINELY care about you, your wife, your kids, and that is something that you don’t see nowadays. In all walks of life people are so willing to «rush you in/​rush you out,» so I’m extremely grateful that this is my doctor and if you are thinking about a change I can’t think of anyone better! Also, Leslie, the girl in the front, is GREAT! If Amy isn’t around, she’ll do her best to answer any questions you may have and they are truly lucky to have her!

Dr Amy is great. She is the doctor that I have always wanted to have. Honest, down to earth and takes the time to answer all my questions. I feel like family when I go there. Anais seems like a real mental case and a trouble maker. I am usually greeted by Leslie’s exuberant energy and the positive energy continues with Dr Amy. Great office. Also no wait.

After I wrote my review in January, within about a week Amy and Dr. Farinas teamed up against my family and got my sister fired from her job on purpose. Horrible! They threatened her to get me to remove my post and since she of course is not responsible for my actions they thought it was a good idea to make a few phone calls and retaliate against her. Be careful if you get involved with these people. I didn’t have time to update due to family crisis, work, etc. but thought people would like to know how vengeful this group can be.

This is the best doctors office I have ever been to. Leslie, the girl at the front desk is very nice and extremely helpfull. Both doctors are down to earth and seem genuinely interested in their patients care. I have been to this office on several ocassions now, and have had virthally no wait in the lobby. The doctors really take their time with the patients and explain everything in a manner which is easy to understand. I would highly recommend this doctors office. It is loacated in a very nice proffesional building right off US1 with plenty of parking. The staff is proffesional and courteous, and the doctors are fantastic.

This doctors office is fantastic. There is virtually no wait time ever. It is a small office and they don’t over book the appointment times. The staff is professional and courteous, and the doctors are fantastic. They even have a weight loss program which helped me lose 40 lbs. in just over a month. The office is a very clean and upscale environment. I have been there several times now and I highly recommend it. I have transferred my wife and kids over to this office and they couldn’t be happier as well.
