Peacock Garden Cafe

We held a rehearsal dinner here last Friday and from start to finish it was more than amazing!
Not only is the food delicious (French Onion Soup is MMMMMMMMmmmmm) but the service was exemplary. Our guests were so well taken care of! Our party was not small — 45 in all — and the dinner was in one of the private rooms. For 6 tables of 8 each we had three servers and they were fabulous. Eric took care of our table that included the Bride and Groom and he made the dinner so special and memorable for them. From the Event Coordinator Ismelda Durazo to Managers Marvin Vasquez and Ricardo (I never knew his last name) I was met with a high degree of professionalism and caring. My husband and I also has two lunches there prior to our event and both were wonderful. I highly recommend The Peacock Garden Café for the special events in your life!

This was place is our favourite! Third time coming here and I’m never disappointed by the latte, in fact I always have two. The outside seating is beautifully laid out, with umbrellas, palm trees and hanging lights in mason jars. The pancakes were a hit with my Mum and she commented that they tasted very fresh and ‘fluffy’. I had the walnut and banana bread, I would get it again but along with something else. The crust of the bread was my favourite, it was crispy and crunchy. The staff are friendly although some speak minimal English. I saw some beautiful dishes leave the kitchen, making me want to come back and try.

Very cute venue! Went for a birthday dinner and it was definitely the kind of place to celebrate a birthday. They had live music that even played happy birthday at the end. Service was great and the waiters were really nice. Bread was also hot and went really fast. I had the steamed mussels and fries– interesting combo but the fries were hot and crispy and the mussels delicious. I must also mention that the portions are very large, came in 2 separate plates: a full plate of fries and another large dish of mussels.

Our visit to the Peacock Garden Café was sort of a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde experience. Service was horrible; but wait, the food was great. Drinks were great too; but wait, dessert was terrible.
In summary, the food and drinks were great. Dessert was not. Service was HORRIBLE.

First off the ambiance here is the best, with mason jar lights strung across the outdoor area and candles on the tables. It was a lil chilly for Miami ~60 degrees, and they had heaters outside.
As for the food, I had the mahimahi risotto and the risotto part was unlike any risotto I had before, creamy yet light. And two big mahi fillets. DELISH. and also before any of the food came had fresh baked breads with rosemary butter, can’t say no to bread! It was a lil pricey but overall would recommend

I met some family here and it was really nice! We had some giant mimosas and breakfast, the patio was beautiful. The only thing that prevented the last stars was that we ordered a second round of mimosas and they forgot mine. When I brought it up to our waiter he argued with me that my husband took mine. Although that is always possible, it would have still left my husband without one so regardless we were short one. He then brought me one in a to go cup, so we left.

Food was mediocre and over-​priced. The restaurant is quaint and does make a good effort at attempting elegance. However, the staff barely speaks English and the service is slow-​paced. Took 20 minutes for a very small portioned apéritif salad to arrive. The fingerling potatoes were over-​seasoned for two of our guests and the wine list is quite short. Looks like it would be best to visit for brunch or breakfast. Won’t be back for dinner– maybe just drinks next time at the bar.

Beautiful place, but the food is bland. I could careless about where I eat as long as the food is good. Taste comes first. Everything we ordered was below okay and definitely not worth the price. Nothing tasted special. I genuinely believe whoever likes this place is a snob and has no taste buds. When you come to this place you are basically just paying to sit somewhere pretty because the food sucks. There are so many delicious restaurants in the area, go somewhere else.

Very pretty location. Gorgeous décor. Busy on a Sunday morning, so you know people love this place. Me, though? Eh.
Let’s commence with the first stop when walking in — the hostesses. The hostesses were not very welcoming. I mean, they were alright, but for being that this place is a brunch Hot Spot located in The Grove (and quite bustling) I expected some smiling when being greeted, a little pep, ya know? Or at least A smile… Instead it was a quick «How many in your party… Name?» Aaaand stop. No wait time? I had to inquire and was met with an «Oh yeah, 45 minutes.» I was smiling more than they were.
After this, we hung out in their lounge (aka waiting area) by the bar. A chipper waiter came by to check on us and see if we wanted anything to drink. Oh, a friendly employee — I was excited! At that point, we just wanted some water so we ordered some and our waiter smiled and disappeared into the back… And never reappeared.
About 45 minutes later we were finally seated, checked out the menus and put in our food order. I had the waffle, and my friends had the bacon, ham & cheese omelette, and the French toast. The food was okay. It was nothing out of this world. Everyone ate just fine with no complaints, but no «ooohhh’s» echoed among us. I dislike that they don’t offer any sides. Am I just being a fatty, or is it reasonable for places to offer sides? Like I might want some hash browns or perhaps toast — oh, and what about our dear friend bacon? My friend asked if she would be able to have a side of eggs with her French toast, and the waiter informed us that we would need to buy the whole scrambled egg breakfast in addition to her French toast. Not #winning.
On the bright side, the mimosas were huge. I was not able to join in on the drinking fun (#preggers), but my friends did say they were good.
I will probably not return to Peacock (not that I think my absence will affect their business AT ALL), but I wish I felt differently. I had this place bookmarked for a looooong time, so it was disappointing to finally make it out and leave feeling so blasé. Ah, well. On to the next one!

Loved this place! Décor is beautiful. I had a French onion soup, sweet potato fries, a mint julep, and veggie sandwich. All was delicious. They have a live band on Fridays and Saturdays, I can’t wait to go back!

Came here on a Sunday morning for brunch and had mixed feelings. The service was average and some of our dishes were too. I had the lobster omelette and it was okay, I didn’t dislike it but I honestly expected a little more flavor. We also had the eggs Benedict and although I didn’t personally try it I was told it was pretty good. My boyfriend just wanted a basic breakfast of over easy eggs with toast and bacon but unfortunately his eggs were way too runny. I had what I believe is called a tropical mimosa, it is served like the very berry mimosa in a mason jar but instead of berries it had tropical fruits such as mango. It was so yummy and refreshing! I would give this place another chance but overall it was an average experience when compared to all the cheaper & better brunch restaurants one can find in that area.

So I came here last Sunday for a friends birthday brunch. I’ve been wanting to come here for a while because I read all the reviews. I wasn’t disappointed. I loved the overall feel of this place I felt like I was whisked away to a whimsical garden somewhere far from Miami. I ordered the very berry mimosa, which comes in a huge mason jar and was delicious. To eat I ordered the pecan waffles, which was very satisfying and delicious as well. Our server was friendly and working as fast as possible since it was very busy. We ordered the strawberry shortcake dessert for the birthday girl, which was also equally delicious as the rest of the food. I would honestly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cute new brunch spot to hit up. You won’t be disappointed!

Bello ambiente tropical. Una marravilla poder cenar en un jardin al aire libre en pleno diciembre rodeado de plantas. La decoracion es muy francesa colonial. La comida ecologica y el servicio extraordinario. Las sopas Wow… Y todo lo demas riquisimo

This place is so great! The melon mimosa was so refreshing and a lovely Miami drink, so yummy!
I had the mushroom ravioli which was just as fabulous. Our waitress Nonni was amazing, gave me ideas of places to visit while here in Miami. The service was spectacular. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Coconut Grove

Adorable and delicious! Situated in the center of Coconut Grove yet it seems like a secluded little secret garden. Met a girlfriend here for lunch and had a fabulous time out on the relaxed patio, we sipped lemonade, chatted and ate some delicious food– we never felt rushed which is much appreciated!
The basil lemonade was freshly squeezed and so refreshing in the Miami Heat!
I had the Asian salad with chicken– very tasty!
My friend had the Angel hair pasta with chicken which she really liked.
The inside was also charming but it’s obvious they host many baby/​bridal showers there. It’s an adorable place I get it.
Loved my experience at Peacock Garden Café, can’t wait to try brunch!

The best French onion soup I’ve ever had in my life! Yes, it’s hot outside but it’s the prettiest area of the restaurant. There’s a parking garage right next to the entrance so the walk isn’t so bad. Service was quick and the food came out pretty quickly. If you’re here on your lunch break, I do suggest ordering quickly as it can get packed. At night, it’s a prettier scene since the lights illuminate the garden and make it very romantic. It’s nice to see such a manicured garden as you sit and dine. It’s definitely not your typical Grove spot. It’s a very relaxed and easy setting. The retro tub gives it a French artsy feel that you were looking for. Being that this is a very important historical spot in the grove, the fancy French wall art you see as simply being décor actually have much more purpose. By the way, start off with the flatbread. It’s divine

This restaurant, by far, is my favorite restaurant in Miami. I love to sit outside, the garden atmosphere is so pleasant and romantic. Perfect location for a ladies brunch, and even dates.
My favorite dish is the Monte Cristo Special for brunch. Perfect mix of sweet and savory in one. Don’t leave without trying the Verry Berry Mimosa.
I’ve celebrated my birthday here and recommend to anyone I can. Come on Friday nights and Saturday nights to enjoy the love jazz on the lawn over dinner.

Must tries: pecan waffle!!! The French toast may be the best I’ve ever had. Chocolate rolls were great, too. I ordered the bistro burger with no mushrooms. It was so tasty and very filling.
They don’t have BBQ sauce.

The Peacock Garden Café is a a hidden gem, right off the main drag in the Grove– that will captivate you as soon as you stroll into the tree lined patio. My work friends and I came over for a much needed Friday lunch outside the office. We were greated by a friendly hostess and then an equally friendly waiter. It was difficult to decide whether to sit inside or outside because both areas are so charming and inviting. There is a lush canopy of trees outside. Inside is very quaint and cozy.
We started off with the white sangria. It was really refreshing and tasted great with slight pear notes. It wasn’t the typical sugary sangria that other places serve.
We all shared various appetizers and entrees. We had the tuna tartar. It was served with cucumbers and chives. It was good but not great. We shared the mahi entrée which was served on a bed of rice with a light herbal sauce on top. It was very flavorful. A great choice. The porcini mushroom ravioli with the sherry wine /​mushroom sauce was incredible as was the skirt steak. The skirt steak was my favorite out of all of the things we ordered. It was served with a chimmichurri sauce and fingerling potatoes. Overall the experience and the food at Peacock Garden Café was fantastic. In the past I’ve had brunch there, and it has also been a wonderful experience. The service is always good as is the food. I highly recommend it. I will be back soon.

Wow! New favorite brunch spot. Everything we ordered was spot on! We had the steak and eggs, crab cake Benedict, and tuna salad. The food was fresh, and our server Chris «from Jamaica» was so helpful! I highly recommend getting the sangria while sitting outside ;)
I’ll update the review with pics the next time I visit. The food was too good and i forgot!

Yet another excellent meal and time at my favorite Peacock Garden Café! Came to enjoy the Arts Festival and came in for snacks and mimosas!
Luckily I have the same server every time, Ernie! His spirit is so sweet and definitely a great server! Never disappoints even when it’s very busy!
And the hostess is great! I’ve never seen her before but she was so pleasant and always on the go! So accommodating and greeting everyone that came in! Great team!
