Deliciousness! I’ve been coming here since I was a little girl and this place never disappoints… They’re known for their pan con lechon(shredded pork shoulder sandwich) but the pan con bistec(steak sandwich) has become my new favorite. Order it with a side of their hot sauce for an extra kick.

The best pan con lechon. My childhood favorite and it’s nice to see that they have not changed the recipe place or anything good old school home cooked sandwich and reasonable price.

I never thought adding picante on a pan con lechon would taste so good. I’d always heard about how good this place was and finally came for lunch one day. It’s a small hidden spot in the hood with music blasting and smiling faces. My kinda place. The lechon was good, the chopped onions and hot sauce made it better. Personally, it needed more mojo but all in all, for $ 6, this pan con lechon filled up 2 people. Imagine the $ 14 entire slab of delicious Cuban bread! Heaven. Can’t wait to come back with a crowd!

My father would always come here when I was a little girl. I was looking for restaurants near my job and came across this place. Can’t believe this place never came to my mind. Delicious pan con lechón! Only $ 14 and you can feed up to 5 – 6 people. Definitely having lunch from this place again!

The best place for Pan con Lechon in Miami, Here is where Mr Scarface just to come to eat. This is an iconic landmark. They recently remodeled the whole place. I loke it!

Pan con todo! Love this place. Piccadillo is my favorite. My husband likes the arroz con pollo. Go with A bannana shake for desert

I went to this place for a quick lunch after reading all the good reviews. And of course I ordered the pork sandwich. The sandwich is very simple and delicious overall, but some flaws. I don’t really like the bread, it is very dry kind like a paper, I wish they could toast it. The red sauce they put on the pork tastes great but they tend to put a lot on it which makes my sandwich a bit salty. The sandwich is very simple, just pork, sauce and bread, but for 6 dollars, I am really happy. Oh by the way, cash only.

Over a year ago this place is going from bad to worse… it is very sad. chicharron flavor is not the same. clearly the owner told the ladies who work there to ’not put much chicharron’… it is ridiculous the amount of chicharron that they serve. I just to love this place not anymore.

Ok so imagine my utter disappointment to find that Papo Llega y Pon is no longer at Marlins Park. I was actually looking forward to eating their pan con lechon more than the game. This place has without a shadow of a doubt the most delicious pork sandwich I’ve ever had. The Allapattah location is a dive, no doubt, but just sit in your car and enjoy. I promise you wont be disappointed.

They do Pan con Lechon perfectly. Make sure to get with extra hot sauce and little bits of chicharon. The parking is very limited, and if you want something entertaining to do at lunch time, stay around and watch people navigate in and out of the lot! It’s best to take it to go, but seating is available, and you can just hang out along the side where a short wall provides a place to sit. But here, it’s all about the cuban bread and the pork. It’s simply the best you’ll find.

Legitimate Pan con Lechon and Batido de Mamey. The best way to approach Papo is to get your entire work cohort together — let’s say 4 people per whole cuban bread-long sandwhich(or sangwhich, if you’re feeling more brode en esta dia), then CALLTHEM and send two people to go fetch your pan con lechon order — one guy with all the cash to buy the actual thing and the other guy to sit in the car and fight people for parking. You can order individual sandwhiches, sure — but you can also order entire loaves of cuban bread stuffed with lechon, and share them, which is so clearly the right answer, I wouldn’t even consider anything less.

Scarface meets a sketchy episode of «Que Pasa USA» alongside a perfect venue for a bad Pitbull video… Yep, that about sums up the environment. When you walk up to the counter, make sure you order either the Pan Con Bistec or the Pan Con Lechon. No, there’s no menu and I’m sure they have a daily special but you better be in and out on this side of town. Oh, and don’t forget CASHONLY… And the nearest ATM is in the sketchier Liquor store across the street. The ladies were nice though(as long as you speak Spanish). I sat in the corner and they even have an interior part in the back so you can sit in air conditioning while you eat your lardy lunch. To me, there was a bit too much chicharrone and not enough meat. I know people die for that part of the pig, but I was just looking forward to a meaty sanguish and got something a bit off. The Cuban bread was a bit too hard for me it the shoestring potatoes saved it a bit. Next time I come, I’m wearing my Ninja gear, bringing cash, and getting the Bistec instead meng’

The pan con lechon is AMAZING! The pork could not have been more perfect as it has the right amount of moisture and crispy crunch. This place is a Miami institution. It’s been here for years and the staff has remained the same. It’s a favorite amongst locals and you will always find regulars sitting around the outside bar. If you are in the area, be sure to stop in, it’s quite a treat. One bite with transport you to someone’s abuelas cocina in Havana. They start slow cooking the pork at 3:00AM everyday to ensure perfection. Prices are very reasonable. If you want local Cuban Miami flair, this is where you will find it.

I usually don’t write reviews but this place is legit, I wanted pan con lechon the minute I got off of the plane and after a four day wait I found this place and was amazed.

Hands down the best«pan con lechon» in Miami. I’ve been coming here for almost 30 years and they never disappoint. The faces change on occasion but the food stays the same. Definitely worth the trip into the hood for this fantastic pork sandwich. When ordering make sure you ask for chicharron as well. My only complaint is it’s «Cash only» and they are only open for lunch; closes around 5.

This hole in the wall was non-stop packed today but I can see why… Their pan con lechon is da bomb! It was worth the wait. There was some chaos between the construction work near the kitchen, and the staff giving us back the wrong change. But the tender meat and mango icee made me forget all about it. Expect no menus here and a very small parking lot.

The pan con lechon is good and the prices are fair. The bread is good but the sandwich itself is very bready. We were debating as to whether it was too little meat or too much bread and we concluded that it was too much bread. Although, a bit more meat wouldn’t be a bad thing. Next time, I’ll try pressing the sandwich on a grill at home to squish it a bit. Parking is a pain. No matter what time you get there. We stopped in at 10AM on a Sunday to grab a sandwich to take to a game and the lot was full. Folks were having their pan con lechon for breakfast. I stay in the car and let my husband go up and order. The ladies that work there don’t seem to like waiting on females. It’s a roadside stand in a not so hot area, but that pan con lechon is good!

I used to go all the time. Used to be the best pork sandwich with chicharron. Amazing. It was like gods from olympo had sex and someone put it in a sandwich. But in the last year everything went really bad. The place is dirty. Full of flyes. Flavor not the same. Pork has no flavor. Before you will see the lines of people waiting. I will drive all the way from Miami lakes to go there. Now even if I’m in the area will go there anymore. Is sad. Hopefully the make some changes.

Dear Papo Llega y Pon, I was really torn on how many stars to give you, so I erred on the side of niceness and rounded up to 5. I did not have the full blown experience as I did not come here myself. The sandwich was brought to me today for lunch, picked up fresh by one of the resident’s of the community I manage. I couldn’t wait to tear into my sandwich as he described how you cut the pork right off of the bone and then it gets torn up into the sandwich, how the bread is baked fresh and how the mojo is probably a secret recipe. OMG, first, even though it is Good Friday, I had to eat your sandwich. I KNEW this was not one to miss you. Second, my mouth is watering right now as I think back to 4 hours ago when I ate the sandwich… The pork was so tender and flavorful and the bread was as soft and as fresh as I have had in a long time. I remember trying your sandwiches at the Marlins Stadium and I am so glad to have had the pleasure to have you once again. Looking forward to making the adventure over here and checking you out for myself. For now, I’ll just be grateful to have eaten your yummy goodness today. Many blessings, SabrinaAnna*
