My favorite fabric store! :-)

I heard of this place through my cosplay friends. So I wanted to check this out even though I hate driving downtown. Traffic and parking is so annoying to me.
They have a LARGE selection of fabrics and the staff here are quite helpful in finding you what you need. The prices are fair as well. You will probably not be breaking the bank.
I was able to find white stretch lyrica and mesh spacer for my goldeen cosplay. Also some polyester fabric for Sailor Saturn that I did not end up using.
I will probably not go here again without a friend. I am a terrible fabric shopper. I like shopping online. But if you are in a need of fabric (procastinating on your cosplay) then I would check this our for your finds.

I love Nunez! Having moved from the NYC area where fabric stores are on every corner on garment district — I was absolutely shocked to find such a gold mine in Miami. It has all your Lycra needs and then some. Amazing prints always being refreshed with new stuff. Beautiful. Love these guys!

I have been to Nunez twice so far. The first time you come into the store, it can be a bit overwhelming. There are several workers who, in turn, do stop a few feet away from you and just stand there. But I noticed that they are not standing, watching to see if you are stealing, they are really there to help you. I don’t think the employees know the proper customer service etiquette that most younger employees are taught. Generally when you enter a store a sales associate will ask if you needed help with anything, if you said no, they will say «let me know if you do.» This is what Nunez employees are really saying without actually saying it.
I figured this out because once I asked the staff for Fabric, they became really welcoming and open to talk. Nunez the store owner even gave me a free calendar, even though I did not need one, it was still a nice gesture.

Everyone at nuñez fabrics was great! They were so helpful with us in finding the right fabric for our project. We had to special order because they didn’t have enough fabric. The order came in on time, and they called to keep us posted throughout the whole time. Definitely recommend this place for all your fabric needs! They have such beautiful pieces and great prices… check them out!

I enjoyed this fabric store. I liked the sale tables the best. Their speciality is LYCRA. Hundreds of bolts. I did splurge on a lovely cut from Spain. Also grabbed some 2.99 sale cuts. There are 5 stores within a block of each other here. Spend the afternoon looking at fabric and notions!

We have been shopping in this store for over 14 years to purchase a large amount of unique fabrics for competition dance costumes. The family owned shop had a super friendly staff and they bend over backwards to serve us by staying open after hours and providing us with outstanding prices and service. Their prices are clearly marked and they have a lot of variety and choices.
Many of the other stores in the area try to take advantage of non Spanish speaking clients so buyer beware!

This place is Fabulous with a Beautiful and Unique selection of fabrics! Great prices and a helpful & Courteous Staff. Love this Place!!! We’ve been driving down from Orlando for the past 10 years and it never fails… We always leave with our Costume needs met! Like I said earlier, the selection of Fabrics is Amazing!!! Love, Love, Love!!!

I live in Brickell and Nunez Fabrics was the only fabric store I found open on a late Sunday. I recently got into designing clothing and sewing. It was actually my first time shopping for fabric. I walked in and the first thing I saw was nice fabric on sale. All the employes in the front of the store where busy. I asked the guy behind the counter I believe the owner Nunez for help. Nunez was a little taken back that I would ask him for help. Like he was to good to help because he was the boss. I followed him to where the fabric was. I than realize I left my measurements at home. Nunez than got very irritated with me. I felt awkward and like I done something really wrong. I told him I would be right back. I walked back to the front of the store where my fiancé was and told him what happen. At that point I wanted to leave but my fiancé convince me not too. The entire time Nunez was starring at us like we where going to steel. I picked up a fabric that was $ 40 a yard Nunez looked and laughed told be it was to expensive for me. Eventually Nunez stopped following me but the entire time other employes where stalking me making sure I would not take anything. When I got to the back I met Hugo the only nice employe. He helped me the rest of the time there. When it was time to pay Nunez of course was behind the register. Everyone at this store seems miserable and are rude. I don’t plan on coming back unless I really have too. Other fabrics store in the area have great reviews go there instead.

Orange tulle, you’d think that would be an easy fabric to find – especially this time of year. WRONG. I’ve looked everywhere and come up 0 for 0 every trip. I stumbled upon this place, however, while searching for should-​be-​easy-​but-​turns-​out-​to-​be-​ridicously-​hard-​to-​find fabrics in downtown, and boy am I glad I did. Not only did they have a large selection, the staff was friendly, helpful and fast. They even went out of their way to recommend finishes for me. If you need fabric for an upcoming Halloween costume, head here. The prices are beyond reasonable. I’ll be back for sure.

I popped into this place after visiting Carol Fabrics next door. The only thing they had an extensive collection of was lycra swimsuit material. There was a woman following me through the back room and hovering over me while I was looking at other things in the front. Two employees were talking behind my back in Spanish (essentially saying buy something or get out), and then a friend of mine spoke (in spanish) to the woman that was stalking me in the store. I think the other two employees took the hint, but seriously, pissing off customers isn’t the way to get business. Stay away from these people, they’re not worth it.
