here is my story. i read a review about velvet club. and it was bad. so before i would sign up and pay the monies i asked about that review that i read in Unilocal.and the scumbag manager his name he said was randy. insulted me and removed my email and i was locked out for reading someone elses review. what an a hole. i will go to trapeze club. i have never been to any club. but i want to see. thanks randy for being a jerk

I’m not one to judge when it comes to alternative lifestyles… What rocks your socks might be a complete turn off to others, but I myself, have an open mind.
After taking our Lyft driver’s recommendation on where to go for a wild and good time, we found ourselves at Miami Velvet, which is about 30 minutes from South Beach. It’s location is in a warehouse district, but not difficult to find with its neon lights. Membership prices are steep, and kind of ridiculous that they make visitors purchase one even though they won’t make use of it. BYOB is cool, but for an out of towner that is arriving very late and not familiar with the area, it would have been nice to have the option to purchase drinks instead of just the 40s we grabbed at the gas station.
There are several different rooms that were mostly empty. The action mostly took place in the towel only room. We went on a night where only couples and single ladies were allowed, so we didn’t have to deal with what other reviewers experienced. I had a decent time, but the price tag is what turned me off.

If this is your swing… I mean thing… Miami Velvet is not a bad option. Beware of the $ 75.00 membership fee that is required even if you are in town for only one night. Yes there are older people but the majority felt like late 30’s /​early 40’s and were of average attractiveness. I won’t be returning anytime soon or perhaps ever but who am I to judge alternative lifestyles?

My wife and I heard about this spot so we decided to check it out. The music was good and the place was pumpin! We had a great time. We didn’t go to the towel room or anything like that, we stayed on the main dance floors as did many people who were there. Absolutely no pressure to do anything. The best way I can describe it is to say, you get from this spot what u r looking for. We went to dance and that’s all we did with not a bother in the world, although we enjoyed seeing the other people getting a little wild on the dance floor.

Honestly I went to this place out of curiosity, but soon after a short tour I left very unhappy of how bad it is, It looks dirty and with a lot of bad taste ! It was almost empty and for good reasons… You need to improve this establishment …

Love this place, but VERY cliquish. You can have a blast if you come in your own group, but very hard to get people to open up. Its almost as if droves of people go there to use it as a regular nightclub, and not how it is intended to be used! :-)

My boyfriend and i came here when we were vacationing in Miami a few weeks ago. We have never been to a swingers club or sex club or anything of that sort. This was new to us, but we were both excited to see what it was about. I wish this place had a try before you buy type deal for the membership. Couples membership was $ 50. We were only coming here for 1 night, but whatever. The best thing about this club was the BYOB (bring your own bottle!) you bring your own bottle and leave it at the bar. and they provide mixers and chasers. Very cool. You get to take your bottle home at the end of the night. This club looked like something out of an old movie to me, did not look modern at all. The crowd is 95% Spanish and not very attractive. They only played Spanish music when we were there on a Wednesday. The club was rather empty also. My boyfriend and I sat down in the club area and also walked around the other areas. Not much action going on. We left at around 1:30am and still not much action. This place is kind of gross to me. A place like this should have hand sanitizer stations EVERYWHERE… there are guys jerking off and touching all these door knobs to the rooms and spreading their nasty germs and there’s no hand sanitizer or wipes or anything available. The person who works here and gave us a tour since it was our first time told us «if you feel uncomfortable and want us to change the bed sheets, you can ask us and we’ll do it.» a place like this should have the sheets changed immediately after every session. You don’t know if these people have STD’s or anything. Just seemed very unsanitary. Some of the areas in the back were not open on this night and that was a bummer. Most fun my boyfriend and I had was watching porn while laying on the chase couches in the loungey area outside of the bathrooms. Couple were seated at the couch next to ours and girl started giving guy oral sex while other single guys there stood around and watched/​jerked off. Not a turn on at all. Then couple proceeded to enter one of the rooms with a window view for everyone to watch and you got to see them fuck while single guy joined them to jerk off while he watched. It was rather disgusting. If the people here were actually attractive, i would have stayed and would have loved to watch and enjoy. But they weren’t, i was skeeved out. My boyfriend and i are very sexual and always looking to take our kinkiness up a notch, but i honestly felt uncomfortable here. We were approached by a couple who got us drinks and wanted to mingle but the female was deaf and her man didnt talk english. There were a lot of older looking women here, my bf and i are in our 20’s. This place was not sexy at all. My bf and i have way more fun at home alone. There was a creepy, perverted single guy here on this night, he had his penis hanging out the whole time he was there and jerking off to anybody that walked by. If he saw a couple go to a room, he would immediately run right after them. He was SOOOO disgusting. Laughing at him was the highlight of our night. He had no shame in his game. At least the other single guys were more reserved with their perviness. No dresscode here either. There were women in jeans, and women in hardly anything (not attractive women either). By the locker rooms, there are a bunch of bottles of lubes and lotions you can use. Disgusting. Especially since everyone is using the same bottles and God only knows where their hands have been. Nothing seems sanitary here. My bf and i did not choose to use any of the rooms or beds, didnt seem clean. I was more uncomfortable than aroused. This place has the potential to be great, but it was a disappointment. I wish they would screen people who got memberships. Attractive people would have made this night better. my bf and i seemed to be the most attractive people at this place. Not to toot our own horn, but its true. I mean i guess to each their own, but sex in public is a very visual thing. It would have been nice to have sexy people to look at, whether dancing or fucking.
Also, they have street parking and valet.

Shitty, overpriced, and disgusting.

Love the idea of BYOB, but if your looking to even TRY the scene, you need to pay for a monthly membership. TRY before you BUY, REALLY needs to be implemented, but likely wont due to this SHITTY place.

Definitely u gotta experience Miami velvet! Yesterday I went for the first time. I loved it! The place is awesome, the music rocks and the crowd was good too, although they weren’t really friendly but I’m pretty sure it’ll get better next time! the staff of the place is very nice. One of the guys tht works there gave a me a tour and showed me all the spots inside the place. I thought there weren’t going to be so much people but I was mistaken. Not everybody there is a swinger there’s people that just love the ambiance of a much opened minded spot. U should try!

I know a lot of folks will say this isn’t a traditional Swingers club. You know what, it isn’t. IT’S SO MUCH MORE. The dance floors are excellent and the music makes this one of the hottest dance clubs on town. My wife can wear super sexy clothes that you could never get away with at a normal club. That being said you can dance safely without the fear of being grouped or felt up. Everyone is very considerate of others and respectable. The stripper poles were my wife’s favorite, it seemed the whole place stopped and watched her. Of course she’s former stripper and she really knows how to milk the crowd. She could dance and just have fun. No drugs, clean, and safe. The bring your own booze policy is great. Plenty of mixers and the bar staff was excellent. Now the back rooms, again everyone was very nice and considerate. You decide what you want to do with your partner and go from there. Not a lot of single guys preying on the gals. Many single gals having fun with everyone and that was awesome. Great well run club, way to go guys!

When one first arrives to this 20,000 square foot spot, it is much like any other weekend at a swanky nightclub. Dozens of well-​dressed patrons wait in line to enter past the enormous black-​suited gatekeepers. Scantily clad women in mile-​high heels and sultry teeny dresses arrive arm-​in-​arm with their companions. Yes, we are all very familiar with this typical Miami scene. What you may not be familiar with is that this is Miami Velvet.
Just off the Palmetto Expressway, Miami Velvet is a swinger’s club, safely nestled in its own secluded corner and with good reason. They are known for their very strict rules protecting the identity of their members. The usual connotations with swinging range from perverted old men to wild crazy orgies. Curiously enough, most of the members are not swingers. The common thread they do share is an open mind and adventurous spirit. Let’s face it, most people go to a club in hopes of finding someone to, uh… «connect» with. Some of us have even seen people «connecting» in some of our most exclusive and expensive nightclubs. Here, at the very least, we are all pretty clear about the intention and the nature of the club, though it is NOT mandatory or required.
Upon entering, you see a dance floor flanked by two bars. The club is BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle). They provide the mixers and serve you graciously. The main area is very well furnished, with comfortable sofas and to (no one’s surprise) a couple of stripper poles. In all, it provides for a very relaxed, spacious and fun environment. VIP areas are available to be reserved for special occasions, as well. You may be surprised to learn that most of the people we encountered were actually quite normal, very attractive and fully clothed (assuming mini-​dresses count as clothing). Like any other establishment, they were drinking their preferred beverages and dancing to the awesome tunes. Since it was New Year’s Eve, there was a giant martini glass with a gorgeous, bikini-​clad, goddess (our friend) dancing seductively inside of it for our viewing pleasure. At midnight there was a champagne toast and confetti, making for a very festive and visually enticing way to ring in the New Year.
Besides the main room, the club contains a small cafeteria with different types of hot food and desserts, a pool hall, and another dance room where naughtiness is very much welcomed and encouraged by the patrons. This room had private, canopy-​style beds with curtains, if privacy is desired. If not, you are welcome to leave those curtains wide open to put on a sexy salacious show. At one point late in the night, two sexy girls sampled each other’s treats in one of the beds attracting some on-​lookers, while many others carried on with their salsa dancing. No one seemed to mind either way.
On the other wing of the club, there are two major areas where all those mischievous thoughts you have been imagining have the potential of actually manifesting. On one side, people can remain clothed (or not) and choose from over eight different rooms where they can «play», watch others «play», be watched «playing», «play» with others or «play» in absolute privacy. The other portion of the club you DO have to be somewhat unclothed to enter. There is a locker room to change and stow one’s belonging before entering this section of the club. Only towels, underwear and/​or nudity are allowed. This section contains couches, beds, private rooms, open rooms (no doors) and a huge lush orgy room. There were many couples playing, watching and enjoying throughout the night. We spoke to a couple that is in a strict monogamous relationship but enjoy having sex in a room knowing other people in the adjacent room are doing the same. They enjoy the scintillating sights and sexy sounds which they say amplifies their sex lives.
We spoke to Jesse & Jessie the sweet monogamous couple who handle the marketing for Miami Velvet. There are many preconceived notions about the swinging lifestyle which include: it is deviant, unsafe, and only for freaks and weirdos They explained that swinging is a very female-​dominated lifestyle and are typically the ones to get their male companions involved. Even if, as we all imagine, it was the man’s idea, usually it is the women that initiate contact with other women. There is a real sense of empowerment for these women encouraging them to take charge and explore their sexuality as, admittedly, many are bi-​curious or bisexual. Most men are just happy to be along for the ride, even if it means only watching.

Awesome experience and the staff were very professional and courteous. It was my wife and I first time and we will be back!

By far the BEST Private Swingers Club in the USA and certainly in Florida. Yes you need to sign a membership form and purchase a membership but it is for your own protection and others. Also buying a membership helps keep out the unwanted! The BYOB is amazing and saves you so much money compared to going to any other club. Is it a Club Liv? No but it is next best thing and you have freedom to be sexy without the hassles at regular clubs. Beautifully remolded with top DJ’s dont go there for food but enjoy the fine women they are very tasty!

What a process to go inside… You have to fill out a complete background package just to enter. Check in your alcohol and return to the bar so you can ask the bartender to make you a drink and tip her. Too much going on in there, maybe it just wasn’t for me.

This is what I wrote in a Google review too. I swear that the pics online were shot by a talented photographer because the place doesn’t look anywhere near that good.
Also, I tried and went to almost everything that this place had to offer to give it a chance even though I was turned off the moment I walked around the main part of the club with my SO. The place looks okay or a little better online, but very bland in person. I have been to other swinger clubs (in MD and DC), and this one is by very, very far the worse of them, there’s just no comparison whatsoever.
Anyway, the main part looks no better than a roadside restaurant lounge w/​dance floor and had your run-​of-​the-​mill lights bouncing around the dance floor. There’s a standard small cafeteria kitchen with standard budget finger food that we didn’t touch. Past that to the left, you have a group area where there are 3 – 4 separate high beds covered by red curtains in a super basic living room-​looking area. The beds were not the least bit luxurious-​looking or sexy, and they were stiff– which isn’t a bad thing if you’re into that. In these areas, throughout the night, we saw only mild nudity of private parts (just from women) and oral sexual activity hidden by someone’s head. Keep in mind that this was a COUPLES NIGHT on a SATURDAY when the club is supposed to get the MOST ACTION going in general, and we made sure to be there between 11 P.M. through 2 – 3 in the morning to give things a chance to heat up to their prime. We kept going back and forth between the areas to check on the action throughout the night. There was way more action than this in similar areas in the other swinger clubs I have gone to.
So, we went to another area that was loungy and was even less impressive-​looking. Then, we headed to the locker rooms to change into towels to go to the more exclusive area, hoping to see much more action and much more decorative rooms and such. Action? Yes, finally in the window rooms and open door rooms to a fairly full extent. No threesums + though, just couples– even in the group private room. Visual appeal of the rooms and corridors and private lounge area? Sooo incredibly minimal and bland, especially the rooms (which each looked like someone on a whim decided to put up four little walls and shove a couple mattresses with sheets on them in there to complete the package) and corridors, with no thematic changes at all– all of which I’m not used to. The running theme is that there is no theme anywhere except «looks like your run-​of-​the-​mill club on a small budget».
We were horrified to find that there appeared to be no safe clean policy with the rooms; no change of sheets after you’re done. We saw semen stains and/​or condom wrappers in each empty room we were in when we were going to have our own intimate moment. Again, not something I’m used to at other swinger clubs. How this place ever won an award, let alone the impressive ones listed on its site, I have no idea. I just know that I waaaaaaay overpaid with 40 bucks (online for one-​month couple membership or 50 bucks in person) and 85 bucks for the two of us. The other clubs that are extremely far superior to this one were also a lot cheaper… OH THE IRONY!

Although Miami Velvet is not my First Swingers club it is now one of my favorites. Before my boyfriend and I met I owned a 3 month single female membership which was only $ 25. Now that I’m all paired up the couple membership is $ 75 for three months or you could splurge and spend $ 200 on the year member ship. Aside for the membership fee you also need to pay the nightly fee which can range from $ 45-​$ 85 for couples Single ladies pay no more than $ 25 any night.
Aside from the membership you also get plenty of amenities such as lockers, towels, 2 different sobe style dance areas and a breakfast buffet with made to order treats. Also included is a BYOB bar with complimentary mixers Yes you do have to provide your own alcohol but in the end it makes sense you don’t need to worry about bringing extra cash for drinks and at the end of your night you simply take the rest of your bottle home. It is a little pricey but you truly are getting your money worth.
