This restaurant is out of business, it was a very tasty option for vegetarians. I hope to reopen with a new menu and new environment, because in that area are opening good restaurants.

The loveliest staff and super fresh tasty vegan food! 5 stars for what it is — meaning not gourmet or fabulous ambiance — but really good quick healthy food made with heart. They mentioned moving soon so maybe the aesthetics will be upgraded then. We’d definitely come again!

I am not vegan but I absolutely loved all of the dishes I tried! Health, tasty and fresh. They make everything in house using fresh organic ingredients and you can taste the quality. Highly recommend!

This is a difficult review for me to write because I had a nice time here and the service was very good. However, I need to be honest about my experience with the food. I take Unilocaling quite seriously. First thing I should say is I’m not a vegan. I went here because I was with my nephew and he is. However, I went in with an open mind. Upon entering you are hit with an odor. Not bad but definitely an odor that is not fresh carrots and sweet fruit. It’s just not that appealing. We sit down and are given water. Very warm water. That also on a hot day is no bueno. We decide to order sushi appetizer that was vegan. It was horrible. It fell apart and tasted like nothing. No rice in it. No soy sauce, no flavor. It was seaweed with alfalfa sprouts, carrots and some weird sauce. NOBUENO! Why no rice? I thought vegans could eat rice. I really couldn’t eat it. Then after trying that I said let me stick with something safe, I like hummus with cucumbers and pita bread I can’t go wrong here. Guys, it was no Bueno! How can you get hummus wrong? No flavor it was lacking big time. It literally was chick peas mashed. I don’t even think they put salt in it. Just because food is vegan it doesn’t mean it has to be flavorless. The pita bread … Might as well have been cardboard. It was awful. The only thing I could eat was the cucumber. I was so disappointed food wise. My husband being a great sport orders the chimichurri wrap. That had more flavor but also just kind of blahhh. My nephew had a raw vegan zucchini pasta thing with some seeds for substitute meatballs. It was cold, And he even said it was too vegan. Ha! He tried everything and he said that all the food lacked serious flavor. So I’m going to take his word on it. He’s been a vegan for 10 years. Overall the food was just blah… I was very disappointed. I won’t return. $ 70 bucks later … I had a slice of pizza at another place and called it a day. Might I add we also ordered a frozen lemonade and yep that tasted pretty gross too. We left it after a couple sips. We saw the future after very sip. Wow that was sour!!! Vegan food doesn’t have to be flavorless. I’m under the impression this isn’t even vegan food it’s like beyond vegan… It’s just not for me. They’ve got to make this food taste better to make people believers. I will say the presentation of the food is pretty, but that’s about it. Sorry Mi Vida Café … We won’t be back. :(

This place gets four stars solely because the restaurant is exactly what one would expect. Simple, healthy and vegetarian and vegan friendly with respective prices. Prices are a little higher than I would like to pay for a smoothie, but then again, Mi Vida Café uses real fruit rather than artificial powders and syrups. However, not sure if my 16oz., pear and watermelon smoothie was worthy of my last nine pesitos in my pockets. Ask me again on pay week. All in all, nice little spot in MiMo for vegetarians and clean-eaters alike. No surprises, it is what it is.

Amazing place and carefully crafted food. Excellent combination of ingredients. I’ve been vegan for years now thanks to places like these. Vegan options are endless and all delicious here.

I’ve decided to change my review that had been placed last month, I’m hoping this restaurant will realize the amazing potential they have so they may grow and blossom into the restaurant they are truly meant to be… Was so terribly dissapointed last month, was expecting so much more… Maybe others would have had been satisfied, myself having been around the raw /vegetarian scene for awhile has only elevated my expectations for this place… The next time I’m in Miami I’m going to come back because I beleive that everyone deserves a second chance… I’ve got high hopes for you!

After searching what to eat given that I’m starving, I decided to give this place a try. I sit down and the waitress bring a glass of water and utensils. I look at the menu and within 3 mins I know what I want. I realize that a customer is asking how much longer for her salad. The cook looked clueless and looks at the waitress with the look«where’s the customers order». The cook then realizes that he didn’t even know about the order, tells the customer waiting«it’s coming right up»(yea, after the customer has been waiting for GOD knows how long) I’m trying to get the waitress’s attention(mind you this place is very small) but it’s a fail. The waitress then locks herself in the restroom for 17 mins(at this I’m still waiting) the cook is too busy prepping the 3 orders that were already late. At this point, I’m annoyed, hungry and disappointed. I don’t blame the cook, as his job is to prepare the food and not attend to the customers. I blame the waitresses lack of attention. My theory, she was in the bathroom locked in texting, tweeting, face booking or instagramming. After waiting 30 mins I walked out!!! Unfortunately I couldn’t review the food, I would of loved to. This place needs a new waitress otherwise you’ll have more customers like myself walking out.

I wish I lived in miami and had a place like this to go to when I used to follow a raw diet I am not vegan but I am super conscious about how I eat and I love vegan and raw«living» food. Challenge always is, can they make it taste good. Well at Mi Vida The answer is a resounding yes. If you follow my reviews you know that I am enamored of the Mimo area. Well count this as another Mimo superstar. It is tiny, quaint, quirky am delicious. The raw pizza is not a pizza so be warned but it does have a nice nut based flourless crust and tastes good. Everything here is healthy, the desserts and smoothies are off the hook, healthy but fattening but with good healthy fats. Don’t hold back, your body can process raw and living foods very easily even if they have high caloric value. This is a pretty bare bones place but they have outdoor seating in the front and back. Somehow these places on biscayne blvd manage to make their street facing patios cozy. They have a working herb garden in the front and you will see the staff come out and pick herbs for the dishes. They also have a large garden in the back that you can rent out but it’s seen better days. I think they should fix it up and keep tables out there, people would be more likely to rent it out. They have a small parking lot but there are spaces on 72 nd. Street so no worries there. They have a small breakfast menu too. Really delicious health food.

I quickly became addicted to this place while staying 4 nights across the street at The Vagabond Hotel with my gf during a business trip. As a vegan, it’s always a sheer pleasure to hit paydirt when you find something as rare as this place. The staff was kind, the food was delectable and every time I returned I tried something new. I’ve been to many vegan restaurants in Los Angeles when I lived there, and this place was as good if not better. I just wish I could’ve stayed longer to sample everything they offered.

Delicious. I’m on vacation and since I eat a strict Raw Vegan diet I had to try this place out. I was not disappointed. There are plenty of raw vegan options, compared to other restaurants in or around the area. The stuff on the menu alone was great, then the stuff on the daily specials were amazing as well. I have a few more things to say other than I had a great experience eating at this restaurant. The raw bread from the sandwich was rich and light on the stomach. The mango wrap was just right of thickness and flavor. and the raw pizza was proportioned properly in my opinion, eating more of the raw pizza«crust» usually hits me like a brick if I eat too much of it, but it was just right. The salad was amazing too. The use of sprouts in mostly every raw dish was a plus as well. Thank you for the great experience.

Last night we had a delicious Valentine’s Day dinner at Mi Vida Café in our ‘hood! First time there… Will NOT be the last! Vegan food that is health-minded, creative, satisfying and delicious! My omnivore boyfriend and I both loved every bite. As a bonus, they have a selection of homemade desserts… Tried the raspberry pie tonight. Made from scratch and awesome. Here’s a pic of the cannelloni, made with almond ricotta and made-to-order corn flour crepes! We also had the mushroom and seitan sloppy joes, carrot coconut soup and eggplant rollatini. Every bite amazing! Can’t wait to go back for breakfast!

Went back for another Acai bowl. Inconsistency is a huge issue with Miami restaurants and Mi Vida is no exception. My acai bowl was basically a half-frozen acai smoothie in a bowl without any toppings, unless you count a single slice of banana and three tiny granola crumbs. They advertise it as being topped with«fresh bananas, mixed berries, chia seeds, coconut flakes, almonds and homemade granola». I think they plain forgot all of the above. This was the sorriest acai bowl I have ever seen. They were out of waffles, so the BF went for the whole wheat pancakes. You only get two skinny pancakes, that BTW were not cooked to order. They had been prepared ahead of time and were reheated. I’d rather wait a few minutes longer and have my pancakes cooked to order, but maybe that’s just me. The coconut grated apple topping added some much needed volume to the dish and saved this from being a two-star downgrade. I would like to try one of their raw/living desserts one day, but for that to happen they’d need to cut that $ 14 price tag in half.

I recently bookmarked Mi Vida after seeing them featured on deco drive and I’m so glad I did! Great little spot for raw food and vegan options and the best part is your non raw foodie revolution friends will still love it! Our table ordered a variety of things that we all kind of picked from to taste and were definitely not disappointed with any. Good flavor, nice variety and great service! Its got a nice chill atmosphere– a cool mural on the wall that’s perfect for a smoothie selfie although I kick myself in the butt for not creatively utilizing it! It’s also got the cutest space outside that you’re able to use for events now when the winter months approach. Definitely looking forward to multiple visits here to try out the rest of the menu!

Ok so I have to say that I really wanted to like this place because there are so few vegetarian /vegan places around, but I just couldn’t based on the food that we ordered. The ambiance and service was good. Ambiance was laid back and cozy, nothing fancy, and the service was quick and the food came out hot. First we ordered the chimachurri seitan. The seitan’s texture was prolly the best seitan I had ever tried. Not chewy at all and the cook told me that it’s made in house, but the overall taste was pretty bland. The sauce really didn’t add much to the dish. It was missing something. Next we ordered the quinoa burger and the noku roll. The burger was again a little bland. It needed more of a sauce or something. The ingredients all tasted fresh just needed more flavor. The best thing we had was by far the noku roll. It was full of flavor and I should have ordered another one. Again since I really wanted to like this place, I ordered one last dish, the sloppy joe. Sloppy it was, but taste was just ok. The seitan and vegetables were sliced really largely so you couldn’t even pick up the burger without everything falling out. The bread was too thick and grainy. Overall I was not very impressed. Sorry team.

The Food is Delicious!!! Always had the idea that all vegan food would lack flavor and creativity, but while searching for places to take my mother in law who is vegan, we found Mi Vida Café online and decided to try it out. Everything we tried was delicious. My favorite was the Spinach and Cashew ricotta filled almond tortillas with tomato basil sauce. Also tried the vegan tacos, and the Vegan pizza. If you are vegan or vegetarian this place is great… if you are not but you are looking for a healthy and tasty meal then this place is a must try.
